The store also has historical exhibits, and the details reveal the dedication of Otaru craftsmen. Lunch: Taste authentic sushi🍣 Of course, you can't miss Otaru's fresh seafood at lunchtime! I chose a sushi restaurant near the canal, Sushi Ichiwan. Hokkaido's seafood is indeed well-deserved. The sea urchin and salmon I ordered melted in my mouth, and the taste was superb. The exquisite craftsmanship of Otaru's sushi chefs and the freshest ingredients really satisfied my appetite. Afternoon: Stroll through Kitaichi Glass Gallery🛍 After lunch, I slowly walked into the Kitaichi Glass Gallery, which displays a variety of handmade glass products. Each piece of glass art is exquisite, especially the colorful glass cups and vases, which are simply eye-catching. I also participated in the on-site glass making experience, and I made a small glass ornament myself as a special souvenir of my trip. Climb to the top of Mount Tengu, overlooking the entire Otaru⛰ At dusk, I took the cable car to Mount Tengu. Standing on the top of the mountain, the entire Otaru city and the distant Ishikari Bay are in full view. The scenery is so beautiful that it takes your breath away, especially at sunset, when the light shines on the sea surface, sparkling, as if the town is covered with a golden glow. Mount Tengu is also a popular ski resort in winter, but in summer and autumn, hiking here and enjoying the natural beauty of Otaru is also a unique experience.
