| Perfect Weekend Getaway from Hangzhou On weekends, when the sun is shining, I always want to take my little one out for a walk. So we chose Ningbo, which is about a 2-hour drive from Hangzhou 🚗. The distance is perfect for a family road trip. 😉 🏠 We stayed at the Shangri-La Ningbo. I read online that the hotel is in the city center, and it really is! There are many attractions nearby, and it only takes 10–15 minutes to get to many of them. It's perfect for a trip. 😊 Nearby attractions: Catholic Church⛪️👉Old Bund👉Ningbo Museum of Art👉Drum Tower👉Moon Lake Park After arriving in Ningbo, the first thing we did was check in to the hotel. After checking in, we went to the nearby Old Bund. The Old Bund is full of European-style buildings. Walking through the streets and alleys, I felt like I was in a foreign country. It's also a great place to take photos. I recommend staying at the Shangri-La Ningbo🏨, especially their family suite, which is designed for children. The room has a slide🛝, swing, and building block table. My little one was immediately attracted to these fun things and was very excited. 😂 The bedding and room decor are also very child-friendly. The walls are decorated with cute cartoon characters, and the bedding is soft and comfortable, giving our family a great rest. 🥰 The large floor-to-ceiling windows offer a wide view. 😎 The cityscape of Ningbo and the confluence of the three rivers unfold like a painting before my eyes. When the sun shines in, the whole room is filled with warmth. Enjoying the welcome fruit and snacks prepared by the hotel while admiring the beautiful river view is so relaxing. The Horizon Club on the 28th floor is also worth a visit. The elegant environment and beautiful scenery make it a great place to enjoy afternoon tea and watch the sunset or have breakfast and enjoy the morning. 😏 The hotel has a full range of facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, children's play area, and tennis court. The pool is not only heated but also has a children's pool, making it very family-friendly. In the evening, we went to Shang Palace for Ningbo-style Chinese food. It lived up to its reputation. Almost every dish, from cold to hot, was exquisite and delicious! My personal favorite was the wasabi shrimp balls. The wasabi flavor wasn't too strong, which enhanced the flavor of the shrimp. The yellow croaker was very fresh and melted in my mouth. It was a hit with the whole family. 😍 Ningbo is the place for seafood! The next morning, we woke up naturally and enjoyed a rich and varied buffet breakfast. 🥣 In addition to the usual Chinese and Western breakfast items, there were also many local Ningbo snacks. My little one went back for more and was very satisfied. After eating, there was a children's play area, which was perfect for a post-meal walk with the kids! After eating, drinking, and having fun, we headed back! It was a very relaxing and comfortable weekend trip.
