These twin temples are located within the same compound and were used as filming locations for the movie 'Wiman Nam', specifically the scene where Thongkham ordains his son according to the Poi Sang Long tradition of the Tai or Shan people. 🛕Wat Chong Kham is the first temple of Mae Hong Son province, built by the first ruler of Mae Hong Son, and later became a royal temple. Wat Chong Klang was originally a pavilion built by villagers for Burmese monks, which was later developed into a temple. 🛕Wat Chong Klang-Wat Chong Kham features Tai Yai (Shan) style architecture, especially the distinctive chedi called 'Kong Mu'.
