The heart of El Retiro Park

Palacio de Cristal is located in the heart of El Retiro Park. Palacio de Cristal is a beautiful metal and glass structure with a little lake in front of the palace. It was designed in the late 19th century. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Palacio de Cristal is temporarily closed, but you can still take beautiful pictures from the outside. Because the Palacio de Cristal is covered with glass, you can see the interior of the structure from outside.
