Raffles Hainan.

Hainan | Raffles Hainan Said to be a filming location for "Lost in the Stars," it really has a Southeast Asian feel, and many of the staff are Thai. Raffles is my personal favorite hotel, somewhere between the ordinary and the elegant, neither pretentious nor rowdy. The service is very attentive, and the facilities are complete (the gym is the most serious one I've been to). There is a night ceremony at 6 pm. I happened to catch the restaurant's Halloween-themed set menu, and the buffet was very satisfying. You can see the Liberty Lighthouse from the beach.
