In Lijiang Old Town! I really made the right choice this time!!!

It's my first time in Lijiang, and I didn't do much research in advance. I chose to stay in Lijiang Old Town, at the Kuanshang Hotel next to the InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort. The reason for my choice is simple: if both InterContinental and Indigo have chosen this place, it must be good. The butler contacted me in advance and greeted me at the entrance to help me with my luggage. Here's a tip: Lijiang Old Town is not accessible by motor vehicles, so if your hotel doesn't offer luggage service, it can be a challenge for your physical strength. The hotel itself is a century-old courtyard that has been transformed, retaining its rustic and natural charm, so comfort is the first impression. As soon as I sat down, hot tea and the hotel's own flower cakes were served. After quickly checking in, the butler helped me to my room and introduced the various facilities. To preserve the traditional style, the room key is still a physical key, which is very nice. I stayed in the "Yinyue" room, which overlooks the old streets of the ancient town, but because there are not many tourists nearby, it is not noisy at all. Instead, I could see the ancient town in the daytime and at night, which I really liked. The room design is simple but has a strong sense of weight, such as the vintage cabinet doors and pure white headboard, the full set of Atelier Cologne toiletries, the Dyson hairdryer, the TOTO bathroom, and the sweet Shine Muscat grapes. The luxury brand of this boutique hotel is really strong. In the afternoon, the hotel offers a tea tasting experience, and I had a great chat with the tea master. Afternoon tea can be booked 1 day in advance. Sitting by the window, drinking tea, and looking at Lijiang Old Town, this is what a vacation feels like! At night, I went to the Zhongyi Market Night Market, which is a 5-minute walk away, and the Sifang Street in the ancient town, which is less than a 10-minute walk away. It's quiet and convenient, and I don't know how they did it, haha. There weren't many people at breakfast, but there was a wide variety of food, and the quality was higher than that of the Ritz and St. Regis in my mind. Many of Yunnan's precious wild mushrooms appear in fried rice, rice noodles, and other breakfast dishes. The crispy buns I didn't get enough of in Kunming are also available for breakfast here! What a surprise! After checking out, the butler gave me a cloth bag as a small gift, and the hotel staff helped me with my luggage to the entrance. Staying in the ancient town is usually thought to be noisy, but this Kuanshang Hotel in this area is a quiet corner. I didn't do much research before booking the hotel this time, but I really made the right choice. I really want to stay in this beautiful ancient town courtyard for a while.
