Jingmai Mountain was just listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 2023. It is still in a relatively primitive state: transportation is inconvenient, and no tickets are required 🎫 👉Transportation Public transportation is inconvenient, so self-driving or carpooling is recommended. The road from Xishuangbanna to Jingmai Mountain is mostly mountain roads, which will test your driving skills. There is also a section of gravel road that is hard on tires. We rented a car, and the driver drove very fast. If you are confident in your driving skills, you can also drive yourself. 👉Number of Days You can take a 1-day tour or a 3-4 day tour, depending on your schedule. We did a day trip, which was tiring, but we saw all the main attractions. 👉Attractions ✅Jingmai Mountain Exhibition Center: Learn about the process of applying for World Heritage status, the tea culture of Jingmai Mountain, the history of Pu'er tea, etc. ✅Dapingzhang Ancient Tea Garden (core ancient tea garden of the World Heritage Site): Learn about the growth environment of ancient tea trees and the ruins of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. ✅Nuogan Ancient Village: Learn about the history of the Dai people growing tea on Jingmai Mountain. Nuogan is also the most photogenic spot on Jingmai Mountain. There are travel photography shops and ethnic clothing rentals in the village. ✅Wengji Ancient Village: A settlement of the Blang people, with 2,500-year-old ancient trees, a rainforest coffee shop opened by a Frenchman, etc. 1 km further up is Wengwa Village, which is more primitive and less commercial. ✅Jingmai Dazhai: Sacred Tree Coffee, Exhibition Center. ✅Bee God Tree + Princess Banyan + Octagonal Pagoda: You will pass by these on the way, and you can stop to take photos 📷
