Kyoto, I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore…

Had a wonderful day exploring Kyoto. Made use of the ‘Goodwill Guide’ system, so we were shown around all day by the lovely Toyoji, a retired engineer, for no charge, although we made sure to buy him lunch. The pagodas, the torii gates, the golden pavilion, the bamboo forest - all were beautiful. Such an interesting city to tour around - if you can survive the heat!
