In the early morning, when the first ray of sunlight penetrates the mist and gently falls on the bluestone road of Shaxi Ancient Town, I feel as if I have stepped into a paradise far away from the hustle and bustle of the world. I stayed in a homestay in the ancient town. When I opened the window, I could see the rolling mountains in the distance and the ancient buildings in the near distance. The morning air was filled with the faint scent of earth and flowers, which refreshed me. I decided to take advantage of the few people to feel the tranquility of the ancient town in the morning. I walked out of the homestay and slowly walked along the bluestone road. The road has been polished by the years and has become as smooth as a mirror, and every stone seems to tell the history of the ancient town. In the morning, the ancient town is free from the hustle and bustle of the day and the noise of tourists, with only the occasional sound of birds and the smoke from the distant farmhouses, creating a peaceful and harmonious picture. I strolled through the alleys of the ancient town, flanked by old wooden houses and brick walls, with every door and window revealing the traces of time. I noticed that some of the doors were half-closed, and I could hear the soft voices and laughter of the residents of the ancient town as they began their busy day. This breath of life made me feel especially warm and friendly. In the square of the ancient town, I met an old lady who was cleaning. She was holding a broom, her movements were skillful and powerful, and her face was filled with a satisfied and peaceful smile. I went up to her and talked to her, and she told me that she had lived in this ancient town for decades and had witnessed the changes and development of the ancient town. Her words were full of love and pride for the ancient town. As the sun gradually rose, the ancient town slowly woke up. I walked through the streets of the ancient town and saw many breakfast vendors, busy greeting customers, and the steaming breakfast gave off a tempting aroma. I tasted a bowl of authentic ancient town rice noodles, and the delicious taste is still unforgettable. There is no noisy noise and busy rhythm, only tranquility, harmony, and beauty. This trip not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the ancient town but also gave me a sense of inner peace and satisfaction.
