Don’t Camel Around for 1.5 Days! Just sunset it (India)

Jaisalmer, India offer a desert safari camel tour with many options. Definitely don’t do the 1.5 day tour unless you love doing nothing but riding camels in the desert 🫣🙃 The sunset/sunrise at the dunes is absolutely incredible. So if you can find someone who offers just an overnight in the dunes… so worth it. We slept out under the stars (pack your own toilet paper!) Our incredible guide (pictured) cooked us incredible authentic Indian meals and chia, made us a little campfire on request and sung around the fire. The sunset was spectacular and the sunrise was beautiful. Wild dogs came and watched over my friend as he slept, however I did wake to the same dogs fighting each other early in the morning, away from us. The camel ride was good. But once you’ve rode a camel, you’ve rode a camel. The abandoned city has an interesting tale and is fascinating to walk around. We paid 6000 rupees each for 1.5 days - pay & stay less. Definitely not worth it for mostly just riding camels in the desert 🤣 #historicallandmarks #localguides
