Sai Ying Pun's New Multinational Cuisine Restaurant.

Sai Wan, in my memory, seems to be an area filled with the scent of the sea, but I've learned that in recent years, quite a few cafes have opened up. A few weeks ago, a friend I hadn't seen in a long time invited me to dinner, and he recommended A.O.M in Sai Ying Pun. This restaurant is near the Sai Ying Pun station, small and inconspicuous, with a black theme. You might not even notice it when walking by 🤣 However, its layout is quite special; once you enter the restaurant, you can go out to the outdoor area, so you can choose to sit inside or outside at your leisure~ Since there were many of us dining together, we ordered different dishes to share 😉 I tried a cocktail called passionfruit collins, which wasn't too strong in alcohol and had a sour and sweet passion fruit flavor, quite appetizing 😋 Then we ordered the 'Must-Try Thick Fries' as a snack. The name is interesting, but the taste was a surprise~ Full of potato flavor, it's like homemade 🤤 We also tried the pan-seared Dutch pork belly, with evenly distributed fat, very juicy and delicious 😻 Next, we tried two kinds of pasta, one was the rich shrimp paste spaghetti, and the other was A.O.M's carbonara. The first one was made with a Hong Kong-style shrimp paste sauce, which was quite surprising, with a strong shrimp paste flavor, complemented by sakura shrimp and fresh prawns, enriching the texture of the pasta 😍 The carbonara used pork cheek meat instead of bacon, which was tender yet slightly salty, and it was made with sheep's milk cheese, making the sauce creamy without being too heavy, offering a rich taste 😋 Although it didn't seem like we ordered a lot at the beginning, we were quite full after eating a few items 🤣 But of course, we had to finish with dessert~ We shared a crispy sugar vanilla custard croffle, which was light and crunchy, and paired with custard sauce. I thought it would be too sweet, but the vanilla ice cream with lemon zest added a refreshing touch, and it somewhat counteracted the richness 😉 I didn't expect to find such a charming restaurant on this street, but it's very suitable for gatherings with friends or for a romantic date 👍🏿👍🏿 📍A.O.M 32 Second Street, Sai Ying Pun, Sai Wan, Ground Floor
