Playing in the snow at Hirakata Park ☃️

#tripfreeaccommodation #wintertravel #HirakataPark #HirakataParkAmusementPark #OsakaAmusementPark #PlayingsnowOsaka #SnowPlacesinKansai #PlacestovisitOsaka #TravelJapan 🎡 Hirakata Park is a family-friendly amusement park located in a corner of Osaka's residential area. There are about 40 rides, divided into ride zones and (fake) snow sled zones. We can choose to buy a ticket to play rides + snow sleds or just play snow. 🎠 From the top, you can not only see the park area, but also see the scenery of both Osaka and Kyoto. There are places to enjoy cute animals and beautiful roses. In summer, enjoy the swimming pool, in winter, enjoy the illuminations, and there is a skating and snow area. 🎢 We bought a pass to enter the snow sled zone only. The entrance is the same as the amusement park. Walk to the very back of the amusement park. Before entering, give the ticket you bought at the entrance to the staff to check. Then walk into the building. There will be lockers and skate equipment for rent. 🏰 After packing up, we can walk inside to play in the snow. It is recommended to prepare gloves. And wear non-slip shoes because the floor is quite slippery. For those who bring children, please prepare play equipment. But if you don't bring it, this place sells it but it's quite expensive. 🗿 The highlight here is the giant rubber sled. But you have to queue up the stairs to slide down. You can sit 2 people at a time. There are staff upstairs to help push it down. We had so much fun that we had to queue 3-4 times. 🎡 After having fun sledding, we took the children to play snow sculpting. Because this place has fake snow, when stepped on it will congeal into ice. It's not as fluffy as real snow. It takes a lot of force to dig. When it's used to make dolls, it doesn't congeal into a ball very well. 🎠 We played in the snow until it started to get cold. We stopped to eat at the food center near the snow field. Here you can find everything from food, snacks, and drinks. No need to waste time going out to eat. 🎢 3-minute walk from Keihan Hirakata Sta. - Opening hours: 10:00-17:00 (depending on the season) - Admission fee: 1,800 yen for junior high school students and above, 1,000 yen for children 2 years and above and under elementary school students
