Tam Ky Temple Hai Phong Lakeside Square Temple

Tam Ky Temple has been preserved since ancient times. Originally, it was a small shrine in An Chan village, where the water deity was worshipped. This land is located near the confluence of the Tam Bac River and the Liem Khe Canal in Hai Phong City, and it once belonged to the An Chan district of Kinh Mon prefecture in Hai Duong province. According to inscriptions until 1890, it was recorded as 'Sao (Mieu)'. In 1920, a shrine dedicated to the goddess of the Yobu was added, and the inscription recorded it as 'Tam Ky Yeong Eung Bi Gi'. Around the same time, the people of An Chan village began to worship the spirit tablet of General Tran Hung Dao, which they brought from Kien Bac Temple. According to legend, General Tran Hung Dao's army was once stationed on this land, so the residents later built a shrine to honor him.
