In the Ming dynasty, it became the private residence of Prime Minister Ye Xianggao, and later changed hands several times. In the late Qing dynasty, the famous book collector Gong Yitu made Furong Garden a famous garden in Fuzhou. 2️⃣Furong Garden covers an area of over 2,000 square meters, facing south. It connects Zhuzi Lane and Huayuan Lane through its north and south gates, and is a typical example of Fuzhou residential architecture. 3️⃣In the garden, there is a pavilion called "Moon Palace" in front of the "Furong Island" landscape garden. Through the moon-shaped window in front of the "Moon Palace," you can see the breeze blowing and the greenery swaying, creating a sense of tranquility and timelessness. 4️⃣In the 1980s and 1990s, Furong Garden was severely damaged, with many residents illegally occupying space and building unauthorized structures.
