Located in the southeastern coastal province of Fujian, China, surrounded by mountains and facing the sea, Fujian has a long history with rich cultural heritage buried underground and underwater. Over the decades, with the care and support of the government and various sectors of society, and through the arduous efforts of numerous archaeologists, Fujian's cultural relics and archaeology have achieved significant results. Thousands of ancient sites, kiln sites, tomb groups, and shipwrecks have been discovered and excavated, unearthing a large number of exquisite cultural relics reflecting Fujian's ancient history. These discoveries have essentially clarified the development trajectory of Fujian from ancient times to the present, filling many gaps in the study of Fujian's history. In the process of cross-century development, Fujian's cultural relics and archaeology have continuously achieved remarkable results, writing new chapters and repeatedly winning honors such as the "Top Ten New Archaeological Discoveries in China" and the "Field Archaeology Award." The "Southeast Archaeological Research Base" has been established in Fujian. In recent years, the field of archaeological exploration has broken through its original boundaries, expanding into the vast ocean, investigating and excavating a batch of underwater remains. The "National Underwater Cultural Heritage Protection Fujian Base" has been established, becoming one of the most important underwater archaeological research bases in the country. This exhibition brings together the essence of Fujian's archaeological achievements since the founding of the People's Republic of China, aiming to promote the excellent traditional culture of the nation and showcase Fujian's unique historical features.
