National Cultural Heritage - Fuzhou Ship Administration Drawing Institute

The Fuzhou Ship Administration Drawing Institute, located in the Fuzhou Ship Administration Cultural Scenic Area, was established in 1867. It was set up on the combined factory building and served as the production design and drafting department of the Ship Administration. It was responsible for the detailed design and drafting of ships and various machines, and it was also the engineering drafting teaching institution of the Ship Administration, training professional drafting personnel. The Drawing Institute marked the beginning of modern China's history of having a professional department for the production design of ships and machinery. Throughout the history of the Ship Administration, it has always played the role of a design and drafting center. After renovation, the Drawing Institute, as the first professional department for the production design of ships and machinery in modern China, is open to the public, displaying the Ship Administration's ship design blueprints, ship models, Drawing Institute talents, and historical scene restorations.
