Transportation Guide ● External Transportation:     ○ Airplane: You can first arrive at Altay Airport. The airport shuttle bus costs 15 yuan to the city center, and taking a taxi costs over 50 yuan.     ○ Self-driving: Starting from Urumqi via G217, you can connect Keketuohai and Burqin along the way, but note that some sections (such as Kanas to Hemu) require a four-wheel-drive vehicle. ● Internal Transportation: The drive from Kanas to Hemu Village takes about 1 hour, during which you can enjoy the spruce forests of the Altay Mountains. Recommended Attractions Keketuohai Scenic Area ● Hemu Village: Known as the most beautiful ancient village in China, it features pointed wooden houses surrounded by birch forests. The scenery is as beautiful as an oil painting when morning smoke rises. You can climb to the back mountain of Harden Platform to shoot panoramic views of the village in the morning mist with a telephoto lens. Also, at the sunrise viewing platform, get up at 6 am to watch the morning mist rise from the smoke of wooden houses, making the village look like gingerbread houses sprinkled with sugar frosting. Jimunai Grassland Stone City ● Kanas Lake: Known as the "Painter’s Palette of the Immortals," the lake water color changes gradually in September, and the morning mist over the three bays is a distinctive scenic feature. ● Other Attractions: Traveling along the four national and provincial highways G219, G618, G331, and S21, you can enjoy Tongtian Cave ruins, natural wild birch forests, Ulungu Lake, and more.
