Qiandao Lake ②｜Autumn and Winter Lake Circuit Self-Drive

Driving from Tonglu to Qiandao Lake. What I love most here is the fresh air; taking a deep breath, you feel nothing but pure refreshment, making you wish to stay forever. Driving around the lake, the trees on the large and small islands are changing colors from green to yellow to red. The colors are most vibrant when passing by Red Leaf Bay (P10-11). The hills are full of ripe honey tangerines, sold roadside at ten yuan for five jin, and some are available for picking. The downside of self-driving is that you can’t stop anytime to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are only a few viewing spots along the way, so I didn’t get any satisfying photos of the islands. If you have enough time, I recommend cycling or taking a boat tour to slowly enjoy and take pictures.
