Wat Huay Pla Kang: Home of the Majestic Dragons and Panoramic Views

#thailandtrip #chiangrai #dragon Wat Huay Pla Kang in Chiang Rai is a breathtaking temple complex that blends traditional Thai and Chinese architectural influences. The most striking feature is the massive white Guan Yin statue, standing 69 meters tall, which can be seen from miles away. We took an elevator to the top, where we were treated to panoramic views of the surrounding countryside through the eyes of the goddess. The temple also features a beautiful nine-tiered pagoda and a serene main hall adorned with intricate carvings. What fascinated us even more were the majestic dragon sculptures flanking the staircase—one male and one female, each with unique details that reflect their roles in mythology. How intriguing! The peaceful atmosphere and stunning artistry made our visit to Wat Huay Pla Kang unforgettable.

Wat Huay Pla Kang: Goddess of Mercy Chiang Rai

This is the most stunning attraction in my opinion in Qing Rai. On the way there, you can see a huge statue of Guanyin Buddha, which is impressive from afar and up close. Coming here really allows you to calm down and appreciate the extreme pursuit of faith by the Thai people. Many devout believers will deeply bow and pray, making it a place to purify the soul. It's a must-visit spot in Qing Rai.

Wat Rong Khun - White Temple

Three must-visit temples in Chiang Rai, Thailand that will scare you with giant creatures During our one-month trip in Thailand The most stunning thing for me is still the temples in Thailand. Today, what I'm sharing with you is Three must-visit temples in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Each one makes my megalophobia jump out . 1. Wat Huai Pla Kung Temple It has the largest and most popular Guanyin statue in the world, which is about 25 stories high!! On both sides of the stairs leading to the Guanyin statue, there are several lifelike white dragons entwined together, looking very powerful!! Location: Search for Huibakang Temple directly. Ticket: Free Opening hours: 7:00-8:00 . 2. Blue Temple Wat Rong Suea Ten This is a very famous temple in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand. The temple is not as big as others, but the entire building is painted with a highly saturated blue, with gold as a complement. At the entrance of the main hall, there are two giant dragons with their mouths open, which is quite scary to look at! Location: Search for Chiang Rai Blue Temple directly. Ticket: Free Opening hours: 6:00-20:00 . 3. Wat Rong Khun White Temple Baimiao, also known as Lingguang Temple or Bailong Temple, is a temple that is entirely white, looking pure and holy from afar!! In front of the main hall of the temple, there is a Naihe Bridge where pairs of hands are waving, which looks super shocking and makes me super scared!! When crossing this bridge, never turn back!! Location: Wat Rong Khun Ticket: Free Opening hours: 8:00-17:00
