Wat Rong Suea Ten

Wat Rong Suea Ten, also known as the Blue Temple, is located in the Rong Suea Ten community, Rim Kok sub-district, Mueang district, Chiang Rai province. It was completed on January 22, 2016, on a 6 rai 1 ngan 23 square wah plot of land. Upon entering the temple grounds, the first thing you will see is 'Phra Upakut,' a pearl-white statue situated in the middle of a fountain under the shade of a lotus flower, surrounded by blue fish from the Himmapan forest. This spot is a popular photo opportunity for visitors. Inside the main hall, there are exquisite murals on the walls and a large pearl-white principal Buddha image named 'Phra Buddha Ratchamongkol Bodi Trilokanat.' The Buddha statue stands 6.50 meters tall with a base width of 5 meters. Underneath the statue, there are 84,000 Phra Rod Lamphun amulets and various precious items. The head of the Buddha image contains relics of the Buddha, which were bestowed by Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara, the Supreme Patriarch. The name 'Phra Buddha Ratchamongkol Bodi Trilokanat' was also bestowed by the Supreme Patriarch.
