Pan Pacific Suzhou is one of those rare hotels where the stay itself feels like part of the sightseeing. It combines Suzhou’s classical garden charm with modern comforts in a way that feels both tranquil and indulgent.
Garden resort setting
The hotel is built in the style of a classical Suzhou garden, with courtyards, covered walkways, sculpted bridges, ponds and pavilions spread over expansive grounds. Walking around the property can feel like wandering through a private scenic park, with many rooms and paths looking directly onto landscaped greenery and traditional architecture.
Direct access to Panmen Scenic Area
A standout perk is its location right beside the historic Panmen Scenic Area, home to ancient gates, pagodas and canals. Guests typically enjoy complimentary or convenient access via a dedicated entrance, turning morning strolls or evening walks among the illuminated walls and waterways into a daily ritual rather than a rushed excursion.
Rooms and views
Most rooms offer either serene garden vistas or views over Panmen’s walls, waterways and even Ruiguang Pagoda from some angles. Inside, the rooms pair contemporary comforts like high‑speed internet and workspaces with warm, subtly traditional decor, so you get a sense of place without sacrificing modern convenience.
Location and convenience
While it feels like a secluded resort, the hotel sits in a prime Suzhou district with easy access to key attractions, shopping and dining. Suzhou Railway Station is only a short drive away and the nearest metro station is about a five‑minute walk, making it straightforward to reach popular gardens and business areas without losing that peaceful “garden retreat” base.

If you visit Yangzhou, this is the only hotel I recommend anyone to stay at. It has the gorgeous Chinese garden that spreads out for miles. I stayed in building 3 (the only building offered on the internet when I booked). The hotel is connected (walk over the bridge) to the Slender Lake. Staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was tidied up everyday. Breakfast was not include in the room rate but there is a Starbuck nearby where I had my morning coffee and pastry. The room has a balcony, overlooking some trees and other building. Most of the restaurants/eateries were closed (probably due to low season). However, there are a lot of local restaurants in the old town area and Guan Dong Street; it costs about 10 Yuans to take a taxi to get there.

Absolutely fantastic, really great! I'm a local university student and I stayed here for two nights during the National Day holiday. The moment I walked into the room, I felt so happy. The large floor-to-ceiling windows offered an expansive view, and the night scenery was beautiful. There are many shopping malls nearby, and the subway station is very close, making transportation convenient. Food delivery also arrived quickly. The owner was also very nice! I'll definitely stay here again next time I need a place to stay!

This pet-friendly hotel comes highly recommended; it truly excels in both aesthetics and quality.
The front desk staff were incredibly kind and answered all my questions before check-in. The hotel also provides free self-service washing machines and dryers.
While the room space was a bit small, it was perfectly sufficient for us. As soon as I opened the door upon arrival, I was greeted by a lovely scent. The room features voice-activated smart controls – I just had to call ”Xiao An, Xiao An”! It also comes standard with a speaker for music and a projector to watch the latest TV series. It was truly amazing! The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks: Coca-Cola, vitamin drinks, and mineral water, all free to enjoy. What's even more impressive is that the hotel restocks these drinks daily.
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. You can walk to Pingjiang Road on the left and Guanqian Street on the right. The Lindun Road subway station is just a three-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient!
When we checked out, the front desk proactively offered us two bottles of warm water (as it was cold outside and winter had arrived) and two Starbucks coffee lattes to take with us for the road (all complimentary, which was a huge bonus).
Next time I visit Suzhou, I hope to stay longer, and Anshe Hotel will definitely be my first choice!

For my two-day trip to Nanjing, I chose the Jinling Hotel, a well-established five-star hotel. It's conveniently located right at a subway exit in the city center, making transportation a breeze. But the most impressive part was definitely the service. After checking in, I was immediately contacted by a dedicated '尊荣热线' (VIP hotline) butler via WeChat. Any request I had during my stay was met with a quick response to a single message. The Jinling's long-standing reputation for understanding and delivering meticulous guest service is truly well-deserved. I'll definitely choose the Jinling again for my next visit to Nanjing!

When I visited Wuxi for Chinese New Year, I stayed at the Hyatt and was very impressed by its location, facilities, and Chinese restaurant. So, when I brought my parents to Wuxi this time, I chose it again. Even though it's now rebranded as Suning Galaxy, the service is still excellent.
I especially want to thank our concierge, Gessia. She contacted me on WeChat a day in advance to understand my request for a quiet room with an extra bed. When we checked in the next day, the extra bed was already set up, and she thoughtfully prepared all the in-room amenities, along with welcome fruits and an additional breakfast. Throughout our stay, Gessia was incredibly responsive and efficient via WeChat whenever we had any questions or needs, which was very reassuring.
Every staff member at the hotel was smiling, greeted us proactively, and spoke softly, making us feel very comfortable.

The room layout is well-designed, and it's very clean. It even has its own small garden, and the view from the street-facing window is beautiful. Yuyu Inn boasts an excellent location; it's right by Lion Grove Garden, just a three or four-minute walk to Humble Administrator's Garden, a ten-minute walk to Pingjiang Road, and only a few subway stops from Tiger Hill. Dining options are convenient too; right around the corner from the inn is Suyuanji Noodle House, which is clean and serves delicious food (I even included photos of the noodle house for fellow travelers' reference)..
Initially, I booked for one night. As soon as I left Huangshan North Station, I received a call from the inn's front desk asking if I needed a parking space and letting me know they had already turned on the room's heating. When we arrived, the room was warm and cozy, which felt incredibly thoughtful. After settling in, the front desk even helped us plan a reasonable itinerary, so we promptly extended our stay for another night.
On the second day, my mother wanted an apple. The kind front desk lady, with her hair in a bun, didn't hesitate and rode her own electric scooter to take me to the farmers' market to buy fresh fruit, saving me a lot of trouble. The lobby has a relaxed tea area, making you feel at home where you can enjoy tea. The inn also has a small courtyard, a miniature garden with a pavilion, a fish pond, and a very well-behaved cat. Since we were traveling with an elder, we booked a ground-floor room facing the street. Initially, I was worried it might be noisy, but I later found it to be quiet both day and night because there's no vehicle traffic or many pedestrians. We slept very well. All in all, I'm very satisfied; the value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely stay at Yuyu Inn again on my next visit.
Other than the walls which can have abit of stain, in general, the hotel is very clean and comfortable l, the windows is double glazed so you don't hear street noise, the staffs are very friendly, opposite the hotel, there are eateries as well as night market, you will be spoilt for choices for food. However if you are a tourist and your stay in Nanjing is short, I wouldn't recommend this hotel as it quite a distance and time by metro to almost all the attractions in Nanjing

This was my second stay, and it was just as great as the first. The hotel is right in the Old East Gate scenic area, surrounded by delicious food, and getting around is super convenient. The service attitude is consistently attentive and thoughtful; they're always ready to answer any questions. Since it was late autumn, they even gave me a beautiful autumn leaf artwork when I checked out, which I absolutely loved!

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby.
The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt.
The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone.
The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!

NNicolefuguixianrenThe owner decorated the small yard beautifully. It is very comfortable to sit on the swing in the evening in this season. It is a kind of enjoyment.
__WeChat54644****The location is fantastic, right on Pingjiang Road. When you open the curtains, you're greeted by the beautiful view of little bridges, flowing water, and local homes. Despite being on a busy street, it's surprisingly quiet, with good soundproofing. The bed was very comfortable. Right outside the door, there's a small, elegant courtyard.

TTheOGJayoAmazing hotel. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating! They upgraded us into a larger room as they felt the one we booked would be a bit too small for a family of four. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable (firm beds which we love) and the bathroom was modern.
The location is perfect: very quiet but close to busy areas. The hotel staff even helped us by doing laundry for us multiple times during our stay.
The owner gave us multiple teas to bring home, which were all delicious. Our girls loved the dog in the lobby too.
I would love to stay at this hotel again if I return back to Nanjing. We stayed at hotels in Beijing, Shenyang and Dalian and this hotel was much nicer than all of those hotels!
Note: my wife is Chinese, so that definitely helped with communication, but I feel the staff would have made us feel comfortable even if we only spoke English.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

11595191****Located in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou High-tech Zone, the surrounding area integrates the elements of ”technology, landscape, and humanities” and is close to an artificial lake. The environment is quiet and suitable for vacation.
The hotel is close to Taihu Avenue and has convenient transportation, but the business atmosphere in the Science and Technology City area is relatively quiet, and you need to travel a short distance to nearby commercial entities.
With environmental protection, natural landscape and family-friendly facilities as its core advantages, Element Suzhou is suitable for tourists seeking a quiet vacation or a short business trip. Its kitchen configuration and parent-child services are particularly outstanding, but improvements need to be made in terms of spraying less air freshener and surrounding convenience.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high!
The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help!
The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning!
The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!
