Thanks to all the previous reviews, my check-in was very smooth. I stayed in a single room with one single bed and a sofa. Although the room was small, it was enough for one person. It seems like the double rooms just replace the sofa with another single bed. The hotel staff were excellent and very enthusiastic. I didn't encounter any unpleasant experiences. The facilities aren't particularly new. The bath towels were a bit frayed from washing. The toothpaste was surprisingly hard, like candy, which I wasn't used to. There's no drinking water provided in the room; you have to get it yourself from a designated spot. Hong Kong's environmental efforts are very thorough. It was very convenient to take the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, and then from the hotel to Disneyland and Tung Chung. I'd like to suggest to management that drivers announce the stops at each station, or have pre-recorded announcements in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese playing at each stop. Many people got off at the wrong stop on the way back from Tung Chung because the shuttle goes to the Regal Hotel first.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to Wan Chai MTR station, but the room facilities are a bit old and basic. Our booking included breakfast and afternoon tea; the breakfast had a great variety, and the blueberry yogurt was delicious. Executive Lounge Afternoon Tea: It was a Hong Kong-style afternoon tea, and the curry fish balls were tasty. The turnip was very flavorful, and the braised tofu and duck meat were also good. Staying at this hotel made it convenient to visit C desert nearby.

The hotel lobby is a convenient three-minute walk from the airport, which is fantastic. Plus, you can't hear any planes taking off or landing at night, which is great for sleeping. However, the soundproofing between rooms is a bit lacking.

For Hong Kong, this hotel offers great value for money. It's much more comfortable after the renovation, and the location is excellent, just a few steps from the bar street. However, one of the staff members at the front desk was a bit perfunctory. When I asked her where the airport bus stop was, she just said, 'go straight down this road, and the first bus stop is it.' She didn't specify that for the airport, you need to cross the road to the bus stop on the other side. There are airport bus stops in both directions, and naturally, I assumed 'the first bus stop' meant the closest one. Luckily, a kind passerby told me I needed to cross the road for the airport, otherwise, getting on the wrong bus and wasting time would have been a huge hassle. Why work in customer service if you're going to be so unhelpful? A quick tip for everyone visiting Hong Kong: always bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

Great location, just opposite of Kowloon Park. Only 250 meters from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR and there is 7-11 located just opposite the hotel. The service was good friendly staff for HK standards. You can leave the luggage at the hotel before check in and after check out. The room has a decent size and has good amenities, including a choice of pillows, pocket wifi and even a binoculars for you to do some birds watching at the park. There is a gym and swimming pool on the underground floor. Plenty of good restaurants nearby too.

Be careful!!!! Our experience with Empire Hotel was very unsatisfactory. We booked the hotel thinking that its going to be like any other 4-star hotel, as the price per night was similar to others in the area. It turned out, that this is hotel was 4-stars, maybe 20 years ago. The furniture and all room equipment looks like something I’d expect to find in a cheap student rental. Destroyed, quickly fixed with tape or paint (lol), siliconed windows to provide “isolation”, neighbors that you can hear even when they’re not particularly loud. Stained carpets, no amenities like drinkable WATER! We were shocked. No toothpaste or toothbrush in case you forget yours. In our room even fridge was dirty, not to mention the state of shower or ventilation. I would rank this hotel 2-stars. If you’re a fan of white noise this hotel is for you. If not, avoid their AC at all cost! I dont know how people stay there during summer, but its definitely not normal to feel like there’s a vacuum cleaner on next to you. We complained to the staff and were told that all rooms are the same. Trip.com unfortunately was not able to help us with relocation… second great story for another time. We were finally moved to a “better room” just to find out that indeed “all rooms are the same”. We also got a couch there that didnt even stay put together… I dont want to know how much people pay for that “premium” room… Honestly, there are many better hotels in the neighborhood, give them a chance instead of staying here. Good luck!

For Hong Kong, the hotel's location is reasonably convenient, though the room is small with downsized furniture and dated decor. I specifically requested a room far from the elevator in my notes, but the elevator noise every 5 minutes was still quite disruptive. A major drawback: all the power outlets are European three-prong, which isn't compatible with mainland Chinese chargers. The front desk staff didn't warn me during check-in; I had to ask for an adapter later. The only positive was that the hygiene was good, and the shower had strong water pressure. As for service, Hong Kong hotels really need to learn a lot from their mainland counterparts!

Service: I booked a deluxe sea-view room and requested a non-smoking, high-floor room away from the elevator. I checked in at 11 AM, and the official check-in time was 3 PM. I was assigned a non-smoking, high-floor connecting room right next to the elevator. Upon discovering noise issues late at night, I discussed it with the hotel, and they upgraded me to an executive suite. Although it was on a lower floor, the suite's layout was right by the sea, offering unobstructed views, which I was very happy with. Environment: The Fortress Hill MTR/bus station is close to the hotel, making it convenient for getting around. The hotel is built along Victoria Harbour, providing unobstructed views, and the suite offered panoramic vistas. Facilities: The bathtub was incredibly satisfying; both in the standard room and the suite, it was a great way to relieve fatigue. The hotel's pool was excellent, though unfortunately, it was cloudy, so the water wasn't crystal blue, which made it less ideal for photos. Hygiene: Full marks for cleanliness, impeccable inside and out. I don't understand how picky some guests must be to give a lower rating... I stayed in three hotels during my six days in Hong Kong, and this was the best. A perfect end to my trip. Thumbs up.

Right next to the new stadium and mixed-use sports/retail complex. Ideal for concert-goers. A bit far from the city, but the offers a free shuttle bus to the nearest MRT station. Very clean with a luxurious interior design. Overall, the stay was pleasant. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options, my only note is that the in-room coffee wasn’t refilled during cleaning.

Old and in desperate need of modernising. The bathroom was flooded after a shower as the shower cubicle door didn't have the correct seals in. However, staff were very attentive to our needs and even had a shuttle bus ( only for certain rooms) that took us to the airport, which we didn't know. At night ( in our room , anyway) was noisy, sounded like a motor elevator. Overall, not our best stay. The only thing that saves it is its location.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel randomly, but it turned out to be excellent. I was assigned a room on the 31st floor, which offered a stunning view of both the river and the mountains. The room itself was clean, and most importantly, the location is absolutely superb. There is a tram passing right in front of the hotel, and it's within easy walking distance of the main shopping district. Additionally, there is a convenient store right outside the hotel where you can buy cheap snacks and drinks. I do have to deduct a small point, however, as the pillows were not very comfortable. Despite this, I will definitely stay here again!

LLiza MartinsThey try their best, and I am sure they give you the best they have, but the rooms are really small and not comfortable. I understand Hong Kong has one of the most expensive square meters in the world, but the room I slept first night was the worst I stayed in my life. They shouldn’t put anyone there. I had nightmares the entire evening. You can see the pictures. I asked to change and I paid more 6 US dollars per night for a 5 mts room. More 3% for paying with visa (the only place asked me that in the entire city). So, I would say, search better. Maybe you can get better, even in the same building. The location is fantastic.

GGuest UserHotel room is good, room sizing is very large compare to another hotel with thecsame grade around this area. But!!! The breakfast is very poor, The hotel put many bacon and sausage since open hour. After that no reheat or replace new one if the bowl is empty, the hotel just takes it out and adjust the other bowl even it's still a breakfast time. So, don't spend 150pp for this cheap quality of food. Other parts it's fine.

AAnonymous UserFirst off, we tried to cancel our reservation because our child was unwell, but the hotel wouldn't budge. Luckily, our child recovered, so we came to Hong Kong. After checking in, we had a lot of luggage, and no concierge offered to help. The hotel also doesn't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to buy it yourself. Even extra toiletries cost money. They do have a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station and Tsuen Wan West Station, which is very convenient. We booked a sea view suite, and the view was indeed lovely. I've stayed here a few times before, but this was definitely my worst experience.

MM624408****The room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points. If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel. When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.

GGuest UserExcellent stay! The front desk lady was incredibly helpful; she saw us with large luggage and proactively offered to assist. We even left a necklace behind when checking out, and she kindly left a note to remind us. The room was compact but well-equipped. Most importantly, the hotel's location is fantastic – a mere 200 meters from the subway station. Downstairs, the area is bustling with snack shops, a McDonald's, and local 'bing sutt' style cafes. The price is reasonable, and unlike some older tenement buildings, the hotel isn't rundown. The corridors were also quite clean and well-maintained. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator, but that was manageable. Overall, a very pleasant two-night stay. I would definitely choose this place again on my next visit because it's such great value for money, especially at just over HKD 300 per night during the August peak season. I genuinely recommend it to anyone on a budget!

EE0821****The room, while a bit dated in decor, was very clean. The hotel's location is excellent, with metro, bus, and tram stops all nearby. The surrounding commercial area is huge, making shopping and dining very convenient. It's a shame the bathtub wasn't usable though.

MM21094****Excellent location, right next to Yau Ma Tei MTR station, and easily accessible by airport bus A21/A22. Check-in is on the 2nd floor, and they offer luggage storage. There's also a shared kitchen on the 2nd floor, complete with a fridge and microwave. Due to Hong Kong's plastic reduction policy, you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, slippers, and towel, or you can purchase them at the front desk. The room looks exactly like the pictures. They provide a key card that doubles as an elevator and room key, so security feels quite high. In the quad room, there's an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower area. While small, it's perfectly functional. Downstairs, there are many fantastic snack shops, all serving delicious food! Transportation is very convenient, and the beds are quite comfortable and clean. There's a slight creaking sound when turning over, but it's acceptable. Roommates are a bit of a lottery; this time, I ended up with night owls who came back late, showered, and organized their belongings, which really disturbed my sleep. However, that's just the nature of shared accommodation. Despite that, I'm still quite satisfied with the room itself. Nearby, the Tin Hau Temple and Yau Ma Tei Police Station are great spots to check out, both within walking distance. And definitely try Chan Kee Roasted Goose – it's absolutely delicious!

MM29909****A very mediocre experience. The front desk assigned us a room on the 4th floor, which was incredibly noisy facing the street late at night. There were no toiletries or slippers provided at all. The toilet also suddenly started malfunctioning in the middle of the night, making continuous noise, and the soundproofing with the next room was terrible. Overall, it was a pretty surreal experience.
