Regal Airport Hotel

The hotel's decor is quite dated, typical of older Hong Kong hotels. While the decor is a minor issue, what was most perplexing was the lack of basic amenities like bottled water, and there was no shower cap or comb. However, a major plus is its incredible convenience, just a 2-minute walk from Terminal 1. As for the breakfast quality, it was just so-so.

The room is clean and tidy. It's close to the airport; you can reach the hotel from Hong Kong International Terminal 1 in about a 10-minute walk. The hotel has a swimming pool, and it's very convenient to take the Airport Express directly from the hotel to the airport.

The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent, which I was very satisfied with. The facilities were complete. The transportation was convenient, making it easy to get to both the city center and Disneyland. The breakfast was superb. The young man responsible for guiding in the lobby, the front desk staff, and the breakfast staff were all very friendly, enthusiastic, and polite, which was heartwarming. My family and I will definitely stay here again next time!

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the airport, just a few minutes' walk away. Having passed through Hong Kong Airport countless times, this was my first stay at this five-star hotel that everyone instinctively assumes would be good. My actual experience, however, was five-star pricing for the quality of a domestic budget hotel, or even worse. The disposable slippers were only slightly thicker than paper-thin ones; it was my first time encountering such cheap slippers in a five-star hotel. Shower caps were charged at HK$5 each, and the toothbrushes felt very cheap. The interior decor was old and outdated, the furniture sparse – the phrase 'bare walls' came to mind. It was, however, clean, and had the basic amenities you'd expect in a normal budget hotel, like bath towels, hand towels, tea bags, and teacups. Frankly, I'd rather use my own disposable bath towel. Our family room for four had two beds, but only two duvets. I ended up pulling off the paper-thin bedsheet to use as a cover, giving the duvets to my family. There was one of those thin IKEA mattress toppers on top of the mattress. I woke up in the middle of the night with an unbearable itch on my back – I'm not sure if it was psychological or if I was allergic to that mattress topper. The bathtub in the bathroom was very old and lacked a shower curtain; there was a glass panel blocking only half of the tub. It had a sign saying not to use it as a handrail. To shower, you had to stand in the very corner of the tub, with the showerhead pointed at the wall. It truly was a 'cold shower' – one half of my body was hit with hot water while the other was pressed against the cold wall. Otherwise, water would splash out because of the half-panel. Even so, the floor mat was definitely soaked. The surrounding area was where taxis queued, making it a bit chaotic, but getting a taxi in and out was convenient enough. Several floors inside the lobby were filled with commercial establishments like restaurants and spas, giving off a somewhat chaotic vibe, similar to crossing the border from Lo Wu into Shenzhen. If there's any highlight, it's the swimming pool. It wasn't crowded, and unlike domestic hotels, there were no strange mandatory dress codes or swimming cap requirements – the only rule was no long pants in the water. It also had dry and wet sauna facilities. This area made you feel like, 'okay, this hotel still has some star quality.' It's passable for a stay, at least the room size met the standard of a domestic budget hotel. Just don't have high expectations, and you'll be happy. 😃

The transportation here is super convenient! Subway! Bus! It's also easy to get to by plane! It's also very close to AsiaWorld-Expo! The breakfast is plentiful, and the room space and facilities are good! The service is also excellent!

Honestly, it's hard to put into words. A five-diamond hotel without drinking water? And it was dusty everywhere, worse than even a budget hotel. The exhaust fan was broken, so the steam from the shower made the whole room damp.

❤️ Super convenient! This is my favorite hotel in Hong Kong. All the front desk staff I encountered were warm and polite! The service attitude was excellent. Special thanks to the two concierge staff members who helped me with my luggage, resolved issues like the vending machine getting stuck, and to Jet for patiently helping me print documents! They added so much warmth to my tiring international trip. 💙 As a solo female traveler with three 30kg suitcases, this was an incredibly valuable choice for me! I didn't have to take my luggage off the airport trolley at all, and could even push it directly to my hotel room! 🏨 Although the facilities and decor are a bit dated, the design is well-thought-out, with a large workspace! There were few hidden dirty corners, and overall, compared to other hotels in Hong Kong at a similar price point, it was very clean and hygienic, and the bedding was comfortable! The only minor drawbacks were a musty smell indoors, air conditioning that couldn't be adjusted, and some mold marks on the bed frame. However, the service and location are impeccable, offering excellent value for money compared to other hotels near the airport!
