"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Jiefangbei, making it very convenient for getting around, and it's right by the pedestrian street. The front desk area is beautiful and perfect for taking photos. The staff at the front desk were also very enthusiastic and helpful, answering all our questions and being particularly thoughtful. The room was clean and comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. There are also many great food options nearby. Overall, not bad!"

"Perfect location, right in the heart of Chongqing's downtown, at walkable distance of all main attractions. The hotel lobby is on the 31st floor, but our room was then located on the 33rd floor. Be aware that not all elevators take you to all floors and that it can be time consuming to go up and down. While we had booked a room with views, the views were practically from the bathroom's window. The size of the room was fine with a quite big and well equipped bathroom. The bed was very hard for our liking. The staff was friendly and kept our luggage for us upon check out until night time!"

"Had a wonderful stay at the Hotel with its exceptional location making every destination within 30 minutes or less than 30 yuan per didi ride.
Rooms were well designed with most modern amenities but excluded any cutlery or crockery to complement their kitchenette with full fridge. Loved the automated bidet as well as washing/dryer provided. The city views are brilliant as well though they don't have views of hongyadong.
Amenities wise gym was under maintenance but was not informed earlier on this inconvenience. There's a convenience store downstairs as well as numerous eateries nearby and within jiefangbei walking distance.
Breakfast had a good spread however the food was mostly cold as if the warmers were not working.
There's a mandatory 500 yuan deposit which will be refunded upon check out. Hotel was kind enough to upgrade me to a higher floor room and provide me with a late check out at 2pm on a complimentary basis."

"The location was fantastic - 山城步道 is just opposite, and 10 min walk away is 十八梯. If you continue walking you will end up in 解放碑 and 洪崖洞. Walk somemore and you will reach 来福士 (took me about 2.5h).
The concierge is currently on the 4th floor in a makeshift area but the girls were nice and helped me receive my taobao parcels on my behalf before my arrival. They were also amiable during our communication on Wechat.
The hotel room is pretty and definitely aesthetic, but after having been to over a dozen Chinese hotels, the cleanliness can be improved as the sofa chair didn't look too clean and there was plenty of grout. The showerhead also isn't exactly in the best condition as the water was leaking from the sides. Additionally, the toilet also had a bit of sewage smell so that's something to keep in mind ~ The view from the 41st floor is amazing though and you get both street view and sea view."

"I think this is the best hotel I have been too. The best customer service ever received. They really went extra mile for us. We arrived very late at night and our lovely girl was there to help us and offered us a place to rest a bit at the lobby and some snacks which were really appreciated. The entire staff was so good in particular Orange, Luobo and Tutu, they were amazing, I am amazed by how caring and supportive they are. I hope the management rewards them because they are super! Best customer service ever and we travel a lot and we see a lot of nice hotels. The room is huge and the service as I said is amazing. The bath (or maybe swimming pool 🤣) in the room is a plus and I also the rainy spa was so cool. Breakfast is soo good and so big! I love that, I also had our lovely Orange help us with take out food. Thank you so much!"

"I arrived in the middle of the night, and since the AC temperature wasn't adjusted, I almost caught a cold. Housekeeping should really inform guests that heating is only available at night and not during the day.
Everything else was pretty good – the location, facilities, and environment were all nice.
There was a platform to watch the drone show, which unfortunately got canceled due to rain. That was a bit of a shame.
In the evening, you can take a stroll around Shibati; it's just one subway stop away, which is quite convenient."

LLEONG LEI LINGClean and smoke-free. The room was a bit small; once two suitcases were open, there wasn't much space to move around. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The toilet was a bidet. Friends from Malaysia can stay here with peace of mind. The front desk can also help receive packages. Parker at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. Another front desk staff member even helped me carry my packages to the room. The hotel entrance is in a small alley, so ride-sharing apps sometimes have trouble finding the exact location. There's a convenience store, fruit stand, and food stalls right below the hotel. The hotel isn't too far from Jiefangbei. There's also another hotel in the same building. It must be the off-season now, as the elevators didn't require a long wait.

The hotel environment is clean, tidy, and exudes elegant restraint. Both the lounge and Ba Lang restaurant offer first-class food. We were pleasantly surprised by the many Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. For first-time visitors to Chongqing, a stay at The Regent Hotel is a must-try experience; it will definitely enhance your trip significantly.

The front desk staff's service truly deserves a special mention. When I told them I had lost something on the high-speed train, they proactively assisted me, patiently followed up, and did their best to help me find it. Their service felt genuinely thoughtful.

__WeChat49422****I traveled to Chongqing alone and did some research. The general consensus was that while Jiefangbei offers convenient transportation, the guesthouses there aren't great. However, given the transport advantage, I still decided to stay in Jiefangbei, and it turned out to be the right gamble. This place, called Jiting, is designed much like a budget hotel chain such as Ji Hotel or Hanting, with a clean and minimalist style. A thoughtful detail is the water dispensers in both the hallway and lobby, offering hot and cold water – super convenient, as most hotels usually require you to bother the front desk for hot water. Moreover, the location is fantastic; it's right outside the subway exit and very close to Hongyadong. I'd highly recommend it to friends visiting Chongqing. The front desk service was also great; I went to Wulong for a day and left my luggage at the front desk, then picked it up upon my return to continue my stay, which was incredibly convenient.

Love Sunyata Ren-ai’s modern architecture and interior designed around its history. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed yet highly functional - a rarity for heritage hotels. For instance, the standalone mid-century wood wardrobe reminds you of what a priest would have in his room yet it opens up with plenty of storage and is lit internally. There are no awkward corners on the property, and space is strategically used and designed with a gorgeous mix of textures and colours.
Extremely hospitable service - hotel staff are wonderfully helpful and reach out ahead of your stay to follow up on details. That was how they found out my luggage had burst from a faulty zip and way too many books - immediately arranged for additional person to be on standby with a box for the books. During the stay, they worried about whether i needed extra binding for the luggage and then also had 3 colleagues on standby on checkout to help me bring my stuff out (xiaofan, ningning and xiaogan) who waited by the street with me to see me off. Honestly they were more worried than i was! And this is the pinnacle of hospitality where hotel takes greater ownership on addressing and pre-empting your concerns.
Room inclusions are great:
1. Breakfast is set in a beautiful restaurant in a stone basement. Selection is small but competently executed. The noodles are perfectly seasoned, fruits are fresh, coffee strong.
2. Afternoon tea - i had thought they would casually bring out the usual scones and sandwiches the kitchen was going to make on the fly, but it came instead with a choice of coffee and their desserts on display for sale. This means you get an intricate dessert - for free!
3. Supper - given my work and flight itinerary, i ordered in their complimentary supper, delivered at 9pm. again, not a matter of leftovers. They brought in beautifully plated 4 dishes for both nights, balanced in terms of staples, taste, texture, which is sufficient to satiate you without overfilling you for the night’s rest.
4. Photography - we all know the prowess of Chinese photography. i was apprehensive as i’m usually behind the camera and i wasn’t dressed for the occasion nor had professional makeup - the 3 weeks of non-stop work commitments showed! However, the energy and kindness of the photographers made the session really enjoyable, and not to mention the hotel provided an unmatched background for phototaking. They also edited the photos within an hour for you to choose from - you get the first 5 free, but you’d be tempted (AND PLS DO) to choose more.
In terms of location, this is a destination hotel, blending beautifully in Mountain City Alley, with all the modern creature comforts. You wake up in the morning to empty walkways, interrupted only by birds and curious cats. The street livens up to little shops selling trinkets, vintage pieces, coffee (many of them), clothes and snacks. In the evenings, the light warms to an orange hue and you watch the sunset over the city in the quiet of your room. Mountain City Alley is not (yet)as commercialised as other ancient towns (each selling the same suite of souvenirs and mala soup base) and each shop had its own personality. Hotel is perched near the peak of the mountain city alley. if travelling by car, you’d need to drop off at Jiashi Old Folks’ Home and take the stairs (5min) down to the hotel which has a discreet corridor next to the church. Hence those with mobility issues - consider yourself warned.
Sunyata is one brand to watch and I’ll be back!

GginqueenHotel is in an excellent location, in the heart of Jiefangbei. Numerous of food choices around. While room is not very big, it is very well maintained and clean. There's a one-tim complimentary drinks and cocktails (don't expect much) at the hotel's revolving restaurant and bar. Breakfast is pretty decent (as compared to the local hotel standards) and has a good spread. There's a gym and laundry room. Teenagers and youngsters will like the vibe of this hotel. Just to mention, there's an external massage parlour operator at level 6 of the hotel building where there's freeflow food and drinks offered during massage service in a projector room. Overall a very pleasant stay at Moxy, highly recommended!

MM656819****They upgraded us to a better room for free, and the service and overall experience were excellent. The views and atmosphere were great. The facilities aren't brand new but they're very comprehensive and thoughtfully designed. The private onsen was fantastic. Some of the public hot springs might have been closed due to it being the off-season, so they were just okay. The tea was really good, but the food was a bit mediocre.
Owen was incredibly helpful with everything we needed and even gave us some tea when we checked out. Highly recommend!

It's located in the heart of the central business district, within walking distance of the subway station, and right next to Wanda Plaza, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The lobby, with its red and black color scheme and artistic decor, is grand and picturesque. The guest rooms are spacious with high ceilings. You can often snag a large room for just over 400 RMB, and during peak season, they frequently have surprising packages, with consecutive stays even including dining vouchers and experience benefits.
