Zhangjiajie Niujiabu Modern Inn (Tianmenshan National Forest Park)

Zhangjiajie Downtown Area
The location of the hotel is very convenient. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway. Downstairs is the passenger terminal, and you can take the bus directly to Wulingyuan Scenic Area. There are many restaurants around which are convenient for breakfast and dinner. The room was very clean and cozy. The bosses are also very nice and drove to pick us up. Good review!
Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Yuzhu Homestay

Very good. I will definitely stay here again if I go again. Service: The boss lady and the boss are very kind, and have the warm feeling of the elders at home. We have seen all the restaurants around us, but they are expensive and average. Every day when we come back from the scenic spot, the boss lady will say ”You are back” very gently, and then we order the dishes, go back to the room to take a shower, wash the dishes and cook them, and have a clean and refreshing dinner. Fresh fruits are delivered every day. After dinner, we take a walk on the rural road at the door. The air and insects are very beautiful. Facilities: I didn't trust homestays very much before, so I rarely stayed there, but this homestay far exceeded my expectations, and the cost performance is really high. The room size is also suitable, and it is cleaned very cleanly. There is also a small terrace where you can stare blankly and drink tea on the balcony early in the morning. Environment: I played in the forest park for three days and compared the South Gate, East Gate and Middle Gate. The homestay is only 500 meters away from the Middle Gate on foot, and you can get on the environmental protection car when you enter the gate. The Middle Gate is not as commercialized as other gates. It is very quiet and feels like a vacation. There is no queue to enter the scenic area. It is the most convenient to Huangshizhai, Jinbianxi and Shilihualang.

Huatian Select Hotel (Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Branch)

The hotel is close to the east gate of Wulingyuan and historic interest area. It’s very convenient to start your trip from here. It’s a 10min walk from the bus station that takes you to the Grand Canyon and zhangjiajie. The streets with the shops are 1-2km walking. They have many choices for breakfast. Different vegetables, noodles, bread, eggs, fruit etc. Even cornflakes and toast if you only like western food. They change it a bit everyday which is nice. The room was good and they cleaned it every day. Only underneath the bed it was dusty. The room had automatically opening curtains and airco. I would recommend this hotel. The staff does not speak English so if you don’t speak a little Chinese it might be a little inconvenient.
Dayong Mijing Boutique Holiday Hotel

Wulingyuan/Forest Park
The hotel is located in the mountains, and it took a lot of twists and turns to get there. I like this very much, which fits the name of the secret place. The staff are very enthusiastic, and the service is also very proactive, giving necessary assistance. The hotel design took a lot of thought, but unfortunately, there is no basic maintenance in the later stage, the washbasin in the room is full of stains, the bathroom door cannot be closed, and there is a lot of garbage in the crevices of the bed frame, etc. The swimming pool has no circulation system, it can only be regarded as water storage The pool can't get into the water at all. So the price is too high, very disappointed.
Tian Men Shan Qian Hotel

I paid $191 NZD for 3 nights, pretty good deal! Clean, smart room, looks new, mostly quiet, could hear the hallway noises and some traffic noises (from the 15th floor) but not the next door room noises. Smoking was allowed outside I think, but was not an issue/the room did not stink of cigarettes even though there was an ashtray inside. Staff don’t speak English but with a bit of my Chinese I could communicate with them for the free trip from the West railway station to the hotel (15min car ride away). The bus station was about 10mins walk to catch the 1hr bus to the ZJJ National park, while the Tianmen mountain cable car was maybe 20mins walk away. Some nice restaurants and mini supermarkets nearby too. Would recommend.
