Hotel near Lujiazui Area,Shanghai
Located amidst the space-age lights and towers of Shanghai's stunning Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, the Pudong Shangri-La offers spectacular views of the Huangpu River, the historic Bund and the surrounding Pudong skyline. The Pudong Shangri-La's two towers offer almost 1,000 deluxe rooms and suites, many of which feature floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight the incredible views and state-of-the-art flat-screen TV entertainment centers for indoor viewing. The Grand Tower epitomizes luxury living, providing outstandingly luxurious and spacious accommodation. The classic River Wing fuses old world elegance with Oriental touches to evoke a cosy and relaxed ambience. The hotel is also home to the Horizon Club, which offers the discerning traveler a higher level of comfort, attention and personalized service. The Shangri-La's dining options are equally luxurious. The 36th floor restaurant, Jade on 36, provides a feast for the eyes as well as the palate, serving up fine French cuisine framed against the Bund views and the-future-is-now panorama. Yi Café earns high marks for its international gourmet buffet and it's thirteen open-view kitchens; Cantonese (Grand Boat), YISEA (Japanese) and Chinese (Gui Hua Lou) cuisines are all on offer. Two fully equipped, state-of-the-art fitness centers boast a gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis court, sauna and steam bath. The large and luxurious Chi, The Spa offers comfortable place to indulge in some restorative therapy—for luxury accommodation on the Pudong side of the Huangpu, the Shangri-La is hard to beat.

"Staying at Shangri-La Shanghai was exactly what a city escape should feel like: luxurious without being fussy, courteous without feeling formal. We were on the 25th floor, and the view of the river was the best part of the day — morning light on the Huangpu, the skyline stretching out, and at night the Pearl Tower glowing just down the road. It’s quiet up there, real tranquility despite being so close to all the tourist attractions. The comfort carried through everywhere: the indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding, the gym had everything we needed, and the grand lobby is lined with high-end stores if you feel like browsing. But the thing we’ll remember most is the afternoons — tea time in the lobby with a live folk music performance drifting through the space. It turns the whole lobby into something calm and beautiful. Courteous staff, comfortable rooms, and a location that puts you right in the heart of Shanghai. We’ll be back."

"I booked two rooms for one night using a voucher. During our stay, we had executive lounge access, which included breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour. We were also offered a late 4 PM checkout, subject to availability. We arrived around 2 PM on the check-in day, but were told our rooms weren't ready. We didn't get to check in until 4 PM. Luckily, we enjoyed a simple afternoon tea at the executive lounge while we waited. The afternoon tea selection was just okay, but they refilled items promptly. Coffee was from a Nespresso machine, and soft drinks were self-serve and unlimited. Our room was on the 10th floor, near the executive lounge, with a view of the walkway between exhibition areas 5 and 6. The size wasn't too small (though it didn't have the chaise lounge shown in the pictures). The king-size bed was truly huge, and on the softer side. The minibar had a separate charge (with a price list provided), but bottled water, Nespresso capsules, and tea bags were complimentary. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and a large bathtub. The wall between the bathroom and the room was fixed, not a movable partition. There were speakers in the bathroom connected to the TV. The shower stall was a bit small, and water tended to spill out. I also have to complain about the wall-mounted toiletries – I wanted to use some shower gel for a bath but couldn't find any. The hotel pool is on the 5th floor, and the water quality was pretty clean. It's also open to the public. Next to it, there's a hot tub. There were three lifeguards on duty. The executive lounge area isn't very large. Breakfast is also served here, but the variety isn't as extensive as the buffet restaurant on the first floor. The upside is that it's much less crowded. Happy hour, however, gets incredibly busy. There wasn't enough seating in the executive area, and the food selection was mediocre. Hot dishes were gone within minutes, so fast I couldn't even take pictures. There were mostly flour-based items. For the cold dishes, I managed to snap a photo at the very beginning, but the presentation was never like that again. The food items changed, and the soup of the day was served at our table. Cocktails (including non-alcoholic options) were available during happy hour. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Side note (no comparison, no harm done): The other room in our booking was upgraded to a premium room, which was noticeably more comfortable. It had three large closets, an ironing board, a chaise lounge, and a movable partition between the bathroom and the room. The shower area was also significantly larger. Unfortunately, bookings made through third-party platforms do not qualify for IHG points."

"What impressed me most about this hotel stay in Shanghai was their transportation services. They offer airport transfers, plus a shuttle service to and from Disneyland, the Bund, and the train station, which is a huge relief for tourists. You don't have to figure out routes yourself or worry about getting a taxi, and it makes planning your time much easier. The room was very tidy and clean, making for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was decent too; while not super extensive, it had both Chinese and Western options, so you can definitely fill up before heading out. Overall, if you're visiting Shanghai and prioritize convenient travel, this hotel is a solid choice, especially for guests who don't want to spend too much effort on transportation."

"My family and I celebrated a birthday at the Kimpton Shanghai Nine Trees Art Center, which just opened a week ago. We brought our dog along for a weekend getaway. 📍 **Check-in Details** 🕐 **Opening Status**: Grand opening on June 30th. 🏨 **Room Type**: Pet-friendly room, Grand King Room. 🚗 **Transportation**: About a 1-hour drive from the city center. 🐩 **Bringing Pets | Key Tips to Avoid Pitfalls** * The hotel only has 19 pet-friendly rooms (very limited availability). * Only 4 of these rooms have direct access to an outdoor lawn. * **Mandatory Requirements**: Dog license + valid vaccination records (within one year). 🛑 **Important Things to Note**: * The room photos on Ctrip are misleading! When booking, *always* confirm if the room has direct lawn access. * **Pet Policy**: * Dogs are not allowed on the lobby floor; they must be in a pet stroller. * Large dogs must use the outdoor entrance/exit. 🏠 **Real Experience with Room Types** ▪️ **Pet-Friendly Room** * Equipped with a pet bed, toys, and other pet supplies, which our dog adapted to well. However, the room we stayed in did not have lawn access, which was a discrepancy from the online photos. ▪️ **Grand King Room** * Spacious and airy, no strange odors. A clean and comfortable stay. 🍽️ **Dining Experience** * Had dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was decent. * As it was a birthday stay, we received a complimentary mini-cake and welcome fruits, which was a thoughtful touch. 🔴 **New Hotel Issues Are Apparent**: * Insufficient staffing in the restaurant. No napkins on the table. Hot dishes took almost an hour to arrive. The overall service pace was slow. 🌿 **Environment & Surroundings** * The suburban resort feel is very pleasant. A 1-hour drive is acceptable for a getaway. * A 5-minute walk takes you directly to the Nine Trees Art Center, where you can watch shows or visit exhibitions. There's also a 'Yichi Garden' within the park, with complete amenities. 🙋 **Service Details (True State of a New Hotel in its Adjustment Period)** * Check-in process was smooth, and the attitude was fine. * However, staff had limited familiarity with hotel facilities and the types of drinks available during happy hour. The team is clearly in an adjustment phase. The new hotel does not currently offer birthday room decorations. ✅ **Overall Pros** 1. Convenient suburban location, suitable for a short weekend escape from the city. 2. CCD design provides a strong artistic atmosphere and quality hardware. ⚠️ **Real Cons & Staying Advice** 1. The entire hotel is in a serious adjustment period, with insufficient staffing in dining and service. * If you're particular about service details, I recommend visiting again in 3-6 months. 2. **Crucial for Pet Owners**: Confirm in advance whether your room has direct lawn access and bring all necessary pet documents."

GGuest UserThis stay at J Hotel's 90th-floor Xiangyun River View King Room was amazing. The window-side bathtub, paired with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling river view, created an incredibly atmospheric bathing and sightseeing experience. The reception staff on the 101st floor, a thoughtful gentleman from Shanghai, perfectly accommodated all my check-in requests. Upon arrival, I received a complimentary fresh fruit platter. The 101st-floor lobby bar offered a full selection of soft drinks, and the outdoor viewing area provided spectacular views. I even had a local Shanghai 'uncle' (guide) accompany me from the first floor up to the 103rd and 120th floors, offering detailed explanations of the sculpture artworks. The service throughout was impeccable. The high-altitude room was quiet and comfortable; both the facilities and the service were faultless. A perfect 'in the clouds' stay experience!

CCHABOOOOThe hotel room offers a fantastic view, almost directly facing the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. I really love its excellent location on the North Bund, which is convenient yet avoids the crowds found in other popular areas. Before checking in, I was a bit worried after reading some reviews that mentioned the hotel's facilities were a bit old. However, upon arrival, I found everything to be very well-maintained, so there was no need for concern at all. What truly impressed me the most was the service – it's arguably the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. Manager Lily went above and beyond to help me with various requests, even late at night. Throughout my entire stay, she was incredibly attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable and at ease. If I ever return to Shanghai, I will definitely choose to stay here again.

GGuest UserI chose the Pullman Shanghai Jing An for my trip to Shanghai this time because of its convenient location right next to Shanghai Railway Station, within walking distance. The lobby was quite elegant, and the front desk concierge service was excellent – very polite and welcoming. Although the room wasn't large, it was perfectly fine for one person. The lady at the front desk was very considerate and explained the room layout clearly. The room itself was clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserAfter comparing several luxury hotels on the Bund, I ultimately chose the Waldorf Astoria, and the biggest selling points were Concierges Max and Rookie. They perfectly executed basic services like opening car doors, offering hot towels, and escorting luggage. What truly stood out was their proactive attention to guests' needs. When I wanted to learn about the historical architecture on the Bund, Max meticulously explained the story behind each building. Rookie helped me book a reservation at the rooftop terrace, allowing me to enjoy the full city skyline. All my requests were promptly handled, and they were genuinely helpful without being pushy – their service was just right, never overbearing. The historic building itself has a rich heritage, and the room comfort was top-notch. These two concierges made the entire stay far exceed my expectations. Highly recommended!

MMiniyouI brought my child for a stay, and my little one was quite happy with the hotel. A female staff member on the W floor, who was guiding us, also had a great attitude – very warm and proactive in asking if we needed any help. In the evening, I planned to go to the bar for a drink and enjoy the night view after my child fell asleep. Around 9 PM, feeling a bit cold, I wore the hotel room's bathrobe and room slippers to the bar on the fourth floor for a quick drink, all without leaving the hotel. Upon entering, they first verified my guest status, and a male server led me in. As we were walking, the staff member told me to go back and change my shoes and that bathrobes weren't allowed. I paid a high room rate, used the standard hotel amenities, and was consuming within the hotel, so why should I be dictated on what to wear? There were no dress code notifications at all. They didn't inform me upon entry but waited until I was inside to tell me to leave. If there really is such a rule, the hotel has an obligation to clearly communicate it, perhaps by placing a sign where the slippers are provided. What's more, the male server even mentioned they had replacement slippers (these were plastic, not disposable), which clearly indicates they know guests might come in disposable slippers. Are they just trying to make things difficult for people?

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at the Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai, and I was especially impressed with the personalized service from Daniel. From arranging our room based on my pre-arrival inquiries and confirming my arrival time, to securing a high-floor room and upgrading us to a room with a fantastic view, everything was perfect. The room's view and outlook were excellent. Daniel was also incredibly responsive with restaurant recommendations after check-in, arranging parking, and answering any questions we had during our stay. The attention to detail in their service truly shows how well-managed the hotel is. I'll definitely choose Andaz again next time, and a big shout-out to Daniel for his amazing service! 👍

MM_DThis stay at the Conrad Shanghai was truly wonderful, thanks to the attentive service from the hotel staff. The food was delicious and unique, and the views were stunning, adding a delightful surprise to our trip—another thumbs up! 👍 Beyond feeling incredibly welcome this time, the hotel's location near Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the subway station is very convenient.
