"A very cozy and comfortable B&B, located right in the ancient town's pedestrian street, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling area. The courtyard is spacious, the rooms are clean, and all amenities are of high quality. Breakfast is plentiful, and the staff are friendly. The location is excellent, with all of the ancient town's attractions within walking distance, which is great when traveling with kids as it saves a lot of hassle. Plus, many popular restaurants often have long queues, but because this place is so close, you can easily grab takeout and enjoy your meal back at the hotel, saving a lot of waiting time. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong."

"One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at in China! We honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, making it feel like you’re staying in a boutique museum rather than a hotel. The entire property is incredibly aesthetic, and every part of it is a perfect spot for beautiful photos. We stayed in a stunning two-level room, which completely exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, stylish, exceptionally comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Every little detail had been carefully considered. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Datong Ancient Town. We could walk everywhere, with all the main attractions, restaurants, and beautiful streets just a few minutes away. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever met. Everyone was genuinely welcoming, kind, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Breakfast was also excellent. Instead of a buffet, a freshly prepared traditional Chinese breakfast was served each morning. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and the perfect start to the day. One of the nicest surprises was that guests can borrow traditional Chinese costumes free of charge for a photo shoot around the hotel. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough free time to try it ourselves, but it’s such a wonderful idea and gives us another reason to come back. We travel a lot and have stayed in countless hotels around the world, so it’s actually very difficult to surprise us. But this hotel genuinely did. If it were possible to give 100 stars instead of 5, we absolutely would. Even if we really wanted to find something to complain about, we honestly couldn’t. Everything was simply perfect. Without any doubt, this is one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. If we ever return to Datong, we won’t even consider staying anywhere else. We will definitely come back. Highly, highly recommended!"

Inside, the warm light illuminates the original wooden beams. The courtyard itself has been redecorated since my last visit, with tree shadows weaving patterns of light on the flagstones. Every breath here brings a sense of relaxation, so characteristic of Datong. The service is attentive but never intrusive. Here, time slows down to just the right pace, perfect for turning a holiday into poetry. In summary: My favorite and most recommended hotel in Datong! Welcome fruit: So sweet! "Stayed here for 3 days while visiting Datong. The room was spotlessly clean and well-ventilated, with no strange smells. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. There's a convenience store downstairs, and it's a short, direct taxi ride to all the attractions, which saved a lot of time. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were all lovely young ladies who provided very attentive service. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting!"

"The hotel has a fantastic location, right next to Southeast City, making it convenient to go anywhere. The stay was excellent. A private car picked us up from the station, and we were offered welcome fruit and coffee – a smooth and comfortable stay. The rooms were quiet, the bedding was comfortable, and the decor was unique. There's also a laundry room and a gym; while waiting for our clothes to dry, we used the elliptical trainer to burn off some calories – perfect! Since we needed to visit the Yungang Grottoes early, they thoughtfully packed breakfast for us. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) service was particularly noteworthy. The owner used to run his own TCM clinic and is now dedicated to promoting TCM culture. He even let us experience AI pulse diagnosis and shared many health tips. It was truly a unique experience. I've already shared it with my friends and highly recommend it."
