We had a large group of folks from out of town to celebrate my daughter’s wedding. We heard zero complaints from any of the guests! We reserved the Studio Commons and it was lovely! So much space and perfect for getting hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding. There was a great view of downtown from the huge window. There is a full kitchen and we fried up some bacon for our bloody marys. We ordered room service both mornings which included a huge pot of hot coffee an extra large jug of Tropicana orange juice with bagels, toast, and mini muffins. They also sent our own bowl of fresh fruit. Coming and going was easy with valet service. The Upbar had a club vibe for after the wedding. The courtyard gardens are beautiful and relaxing for more personal visits with friends and family. We worked with Robyn for all of our arrangements and she was awesome and very accommodating! We will definitely utilize the element in the future for our of town guests.

The location was great if you are attending an event at the soccer stadium, Union Station or the Enterprise Center. Easy to walk to all those locations. This property was easy to get to off the freeway and has on-site parking ($10/day). Hotel has been updated and was very nice. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. No free breakfast in the morning, but you can purchase food and coffee there. I would stay there again when going to downtown St. Louis.

If this hotel is representative of what Marriott is doing with Westin's, the Westin brand is deteriorating. Plastic cups in the rooms like a Best Western. Quattro restaurant is poor; asked for glasses for wine and one glass was very dirty. Quattro delivered our dinner to the wrong room; when we got the dinner it was not what we ordered. Thermostat in room was 'dead'; if not fixed management would make us move everything to a different room at 8:30 pm. Maintenance found that when the filters were changed the thermostat was not turned on! And the guest had to discover the thermostat was not working. Westin still has comfortable beds. Fortunately the valet and front desk people were good--although the staffing is very thin until 7am when the nightshift ends! Do not recommend and will avoid Westins in the future.

Let's start with the good. The rooms are amazingly comfortable. Mind you, it helps that I reserved a Stadium View king and was upgrade to an Executive Studio Suite. Extremely comfortable, very clean, and wonderfully furnished. It is exactly what I would expect from this level of hotel. It is also perfectly located if you're attending a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium. You walk out the front door, walk across Clark Ave which is shut down for games, and you are at the stadium. It is the reason I choose this hotel as I was attending a game. It is also basically in Ballpark Village. And now, the frustrating parts. Parking is horrible. First off, there is nothing on the website that I can find that tells you where to self-park or off what street to enter. I had the misfortune of trying to figure it out in between a double-header, where streets are blocked off and crazy people are running amuck in cars as well as running across the streets. I finally called the hotel and a kind gentleman talked me down to where I needed to be. By the way, the second level elevator, the only elevator that takes you near (not to) the hotel, the down button to call the elevator doesn't function. You have to hit the up button to have the elevator to arrive, then go up so you can do down to ground level. The elevator dumps you outside and you then walk past valet parking to get to the front door. Check in starts at 4:00pm and I arrive at 4:10pm. There is only one person at the desk, and she is dealing with a difficult customer. She was actually providing great customer service, but it was taking a lot of time and the line behind me was building. During this time, multiple employees walked by and behind the desk but offered no help or even made eye contact. Finally, after about 15 minutes, someone showed up to help. One thing to note, to use the elevator to go to your floor (mine was the 8th floor) you have to scan your room key card for it to allow you to push the floor button. That was not mentioned to me when I checked in and I could not figure out why I could not get to the 8th floor until a nice couple told me. Funny thing is, about 20 minutes later I got to tell another couple the same thing as no one told them either. You would think that should be automatic when checking someone in. Finally, the next morning I wanted to leave early, by 7 at the latest, so decided to do room service. They claim 24-hour room service available. However, you cannot order breakfast to be delivered to your room until 7 at the earliest. Prior to that, you can only order ”late Night Snacks”, which consists of things like Doritos. I just gave up, checked out, and had breakfast elsewhere on the road. There were other things as well. Overall, not a horrible experience. Just too many frustrating points which should not be the case for the cost of a night stays

Location in proximity to city attractions is amazing 5/5. Location in terms of safety is 2/5. There isn’t a covered secured lot for your car and I was approached by many people asking me for money while taking a walk around the building. Service is hit or miss. When I arrived, and attempted to open my car door, I was accosted by the valet who yelled at me and asked me what I was TRYING to do. I told him I was checking in to the hotel. And he was aggressively unpleasant, seemingly angry that I had arrived. Conversely, the valet attendant the next day was polite and wonderful. The front desk was nice but did not review any of the amenities nor offer any information about the hotel, which is a shame. Nice but inattentive and uninterested. The service at both Idol Wolf and Good Press were 5/5. The food at both were 5/5. The hotel itself is gorgeous. There’s art set in an old gym. The renovation is well done. Enjoyed it very much. The view from the room was also very nice. The room itself was standard with a few attention to detail things needing addressed. Such as broken handles and non working bathroom fixtures. Overall would recommend this hotel because it is unique. Big plus - they allow pets!!! Yes!
This hotel is located inside of on older building. It appears that they tried to keep the exterior facade of the building and build a hotel inside of it. The elevators are a little rickety and don't always give you a warm fuzzy feeling. Our room overlooked a garbage filled alley way. There was NO place to park. I was told upon checking in that the valet lot was full so I have to find a place to park on the street. I am surprised that all of my tires and glass on the car were still there the next morning. When we got up for breakfast there weren't any small cups to use to get the right amount of batter in the waffle maker so people were using paper coffee cups and overflowing the waffle makers. The juice machine had 2 of the 4 types of juices out of order. The other types you had to press the button to dispense so hard it almost tilted the machine backwards. And after all that the juice would come out just a little, stop, then a little more, stop, a little more etc so it took a long time to fill up your glass. The packets of syrup for waffles were EXTREMELY hard to open to the point you almost needed to use some scissors. I definitely will not stay at this property again. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Overall, a wonderful experience at the Last Hotel.
Cons: inconsistent staff kindness/helpfulness. Like so many places right now, they seem to be understaffed and some employees handle that load better than others. We experienced quite an outburst from one valet employee but noted that most are trying to be as helpful as possible with what they have. There also were only a handful of rooms ready by check-in, but they let us use their pool in the meantime.
Pros: Awesome pool - great view. Our room??? Stunning! We felt spoiled and slept like babies. Truly beautiful renovations, great craftsmanship and fun personality. Hotel felt safe even in the midst of a louder part of town with a rough nightlife.
Tip: it’s expensive but pay for valet. They were prompt in their service, the gated lots nearby don’t have in and out privileges, and you’ll want to keep your car off the street overnight.
Double charge you on your credit card and don’t release your funds right away. Poor customer service. No Refrigerator or microwave in the room. No social distancing in the hotel. Only thing they did have was good food.

Outstanding
It should be unnecessary to praise what used to be normal expectations, but yet here we are. This hotel did not disappoint in any single way. Clean, freshly updated (or relatively new, I can't tell which). Staff is friendly. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, comfortable. The location is safe - isolated from really anything close by other than the clinic in the adjacent parking lot. Wish all hotels could be this on point and consistent with brand.
All my reviews use the same format, so it isn't just a general review, but breaks out each area and then a total score. Any questions, please let me know. This was a couples stay while attending the CITY SC match. ARRIVAL: My wife and I decided to give this property a go since it was close to CITY Park. Normally would Uber to and from our house but wanted to make a long day out of it. Hotel is easy to get to and the parking garage is located on the south side of the hotel adjacent to the CITY training pitch. CHECK-IN: Check-in was fairly quick. We did use points which made it a little confusing for some reason. The front desk staff seemed kind of annoyed until we decided to break the ice and share some back-and-forth banter with her. We received our room assignment proceeded to drop our bags to begin our afternoon of per-match fun. PROPERTY: A newer FBM property the layout aligns with the brand. Bar and common area for breakfast as well as a outdoor patio area with fire pits, and couches and chairs. Property seemed clean and secure with no way to get inside without a key. ROOM/ACCOMODATIONS: Our room was acceptable. FBM standard King. It was clean and nothing seemed out of place. A newer property there were no complaints. Mini fridge to house drinks, etc and a nice view towards Union Station looking over the training pitch for CITY SC. STAFF/SERVICE: Knowing that staff is a struggle in hospitality, the front desk was a little unwelcoming. We really didn’t interact with anyone outside of them but the bartender after the match really was NOT having a good night. Many loud patrons after a win by the boys in red across the street. Many patrons really doing their best to be as loud as possible. She was not happy and asked on repeat for them to keep it down or they would have to leave. FOOD:/BAR: Drinks were ok. Not amazing but on par with the brand. Breakfast was your average quick serve buffet with a host of items to pick from. We had a light meal and then departed. SUMMARY:. This property has a great location for those wanting a place to stay for CITY matches. Right across from the South End and with a safe parking facility we would try this one again. Rate without points would have been $129 which is a few dollars less than other higher start properties nearby. To compare, Union Station (Hilton) was $138. If we were paying, I would have opted for that property. Scoring: CHECK-IN: 7/10 PROPERTY: 8.0 ROOM: 8.0 STAFF/SERVICE: 6.0/10 FOOD/BAR: 6.0/10 OVERALL WEIGHTED: 7.10
GGuest UserStayed here for one night recently while in town for a marching band competition. The location is very convenient for getting to The Dome at America's Center and very convenient to get back on the expressway to head back to Illinois so the location is a plus. There is nothing particularly ”bad” about the hotel but it just is in need of updating. The rooms are very dated from the carpet to the doors to the furniture. The popcorn ceilings are the biggest indicator that things have not been updated in a long time. Beds are old and noisy. Hilton would be wise to start doing a hard goods refurbishment in each room and bring in fresh carpet, paint, furniture, and countertops. Having said that, the on-site parking was inexpensive and convenient and the breakfast area in the lower level of the hotel was the largest seating area I've seen at a Hilton property so that was nice. Update the rooms and this Hampton could be quite a gem.
Stayed 1nt in a queen room #1001 on 10th floor with a coffee maker, individual controlled air con & also a ceiling fan in Aug & was very cool to sleep. Bathroom had a shower/tub combo with sliding doors. On the same floor is a pool table room & a reading room with tons of books, recliners, a piano & sheet music! On the 8th floor with the ice machine, snack vending machine & drink vending machine, there is also a microwave! The rooms don’t have one but you can go here to heat up your leftovers👍 Free shuttle to/from cardinals game; first departure 1 hr before game. Parking garage is $18 & is in & out. Bring ticket in for reception to validate. & it is Almost attached…just across a one way tiny street from the back entrance..didn’t see an elevator so park on 2nd level if possible(1st floor for “members”) We walked to & from cardinals game & it was quick, easy & safe. We would stay here again if the price was still much better than the other hotels in the area. Also: they have a water bottle refilling station in the lobby (sort of hidden across from check in by the coat check room)
GGuest UserGreat location close to Ball Park Village and the Stadium with views of both the Arch and Stadium. Excellent restaurants and good breakfast option, including a Starbucks. Valet parking makes for an easy in and out. We stay here anytime we visit St Louis!
SSANJUNThe hotel is convenient for parking. You can enter and exit the parking lot with your room card. There is a microwave oven and a laundry room on the third floor of the hotel. There is a supermarket next to the hotel, which makes life convenient. The bed in the twin room is narrow and not suitable for four people.
GGuest UserLocation was good 20 mins from downtown St. Louis. The lobby is pretty and was very clean. The pool is nice but I would stay away from the hot tub as it seemed to have a layer of dead skin floating at the top of it. The room itself is really nice and very clean it is a great stay for family or a solo get away the rooms look exactly like they do in the photos.
This was my first stay in St. Louis. I was not familiar with the location. This location was an easy walk to all the locations downtown. Many eateries were also nearby the hotel. And the Gateway Arch was also an easy walk. My view was of the Central Library. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast was enough for me. There was some construction going on. And it looked like they were still updating the floors. Only two of the three elevators were working when I was there.
GGuest UserTwo of the main things I looked for when booking was a pool and free parking. The pool was indoors which was fine. Was surprised to see how small it was and was a big let down that it was so freezing we couldn’t enjoy it at all. So it was a let down that one of the main reasons I booked here we didn’t get to use the pool. This place does have newer furniture in its rooms but the floor throughout and the furniture it the lobby is just stained up and dingy. The signs on 1st floor for ice machine/vending are wrong. Asked a rude house keeper that was upset bc I guess I interrupted her cleaning. She had told me it was around the corner…. The out of order machine was on the other side of the building. I finally found me an ice machine on next floor. The people at the front desk are very nice and courteous. Really nice. But wish they had explained more on their parking so that I didn’t end up with a ticket each day I was there. So they have no free parking lots at the moment. You either have to park in their drop off zone are a section of street parking on the side. The other lots available you have to pay per day. Due to this I found a spot on the side (side street parking as they suggested) and I didn’t move my car. I kept it there the entire time and walked everywhere I needed to go. Well when I went to leave I had parking tickets racked up for several days. I went in and asked them if that was there parking as told previously and they said yes. I told them about the tickets and they said it was managed by the city and u have to back in or get a ticket. That would be nice to know when you offer that as a parking suggestion. I go out to lot to see if there was a sign. There was a sign many spots down that in the direction I was coming from wouldn’t have seen. I also looked all almost every vehicle was parked wrong way so obviously they weren’t told or didn’t see sign either. I started warning those I could. $30 a day ticket city it making a lot of money of that small parking section from out of towners etc that don’t know ST Louis parking laws …. The hotel won’t warn u of this and they know. Besides these couple things everything else was good.
