I loved this hotel. Me and my boyfriend decided to go on a short holiday in half term and chose this hotel as it was relatively cheap whilst also being quite central in playa las americas. When we arrived the hotel is very clean. We got to our room and we had been given a double family room for the 2 of us. i didn’t book this so this was a nice surprise as we had a double balcony which looked over the sea and we could see the sunset. The bathroom was lovely and the rooms were very clean with huge beds, cleaned every day to a perfect standard. In the morning we had a buffet breakfast which was extensive and filled us up, the dinner buffet was also really nice and changed every night with fresh food also being made in front of you. The pool side had lots of chairs and we never struggled to get a seat, the pool was nice and a nice temperature. There was a bar near the pool with crisps and drinks and on the last day there was a pool party with music and rubber dingies which we both loved as it was some entertainment. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the beach and the main bars and we managed to walk to many different areas with no problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel can’t fault it

Honestly after reading these reviews we had major anxiety about the place. We went as a group of friends just for some cheap winter sun! Upon arrival the entrance is slightly hidden and dingy but as soon as you walk through to the pool the complex is actually very nice. The staff are not the most attentive but also not the worst! Apartments are very basic but the room and balcony sizes are actually really big and from our experience was very clean. The nightclub which is situated outside the complex was slightly annoying but as a group of young 20 year olds nothing a couple of drinks could not drown out. I think if you was going on a family holiday this would not be the place for you if its hard for children to fall asleep ect- however the complex is actually mainly privately owned apartments. Unfortunately I would say the beds are not the comfiest but when you are only there for a short amount of time and also for how cheap we actually got the package holiday you really cant complain. If you are expecting 5 star beds you pay for 5 star beds! Overall from the reviews I read I really was expecting to have to check out after day 1 but we was all really Impressed. There is no aircon so probably in summer not the most ideal but if you are going in the slightly cooler seasons with a group of friends I would highly recommend as literally a 5 minute walk to the ***** and siam park.

The stay has been great in all aspects. The apartment is located in the best area in the south of Tenerife. 5 minutes walk from two of the best beaches. A couple of minutes from the bus stop, supermarket, shops and restaurants. We loved the decoration of
Whala!Tenerife - Formerly Marola Portosin

Had a wonderful holiday! I've stayed before at Whala!Tenerife previously (last year when it was Marola Portosin) and it didn't disappoint when I returned this year. The studio room is a big space, clean and fresh, with everything you need in terms of kitchen facilities for self catering, and a lovely big balcony. The pool area is pretty and well kept, and the pool itself has lovely warm water and is nice and quiet at the times I was going down for a swim (5:30-6pm each night). The bar and pool closed at 7, but that means that if you want to relax on your balcony on an evening it's very peaceful. The hotel is in an ideal location for me, not in the middle of the nightlife/resorts but within a ten minute walk to the beach, nice restaurants, shops, and also close to a couple of big supermarkets that are useful when you're self catering. In the other direction it is a short walk to Montana Chayofita which has the best view of the area from the top. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and there is somewhere to store luggage upon arrival if the room is not ready, and after checkout. I had a late flight and there was somewhere I could shower and change after a final day on the beach before going back to the airport. Will definitely be booking again next year.

We were so pleased that we chose this hotel. I would highly recommend it. Its in a good position, 8 min walk to sandy beach. Long flat path along the sea, many people had mobility scooters , more for fun l think than real need. Young people had electric scooters. A lovely vibe to this hotel. The food was international, so there was always a choice, loved the fridges full of wine, help yourself, and it was nice wine. Lovely hotel grounds, and if you had children it all looked brilliant, the animation team for all ,were fantastic, but from what l saw they all acted so kind with the children. Different activities through out the day, again for all. Evening entertainment was amusing. The animation team are just tireless, amazing people. This could turn into a long list , enough to say when you meet people in the hotel that have been over 20 times, it must be good. We preferred the quieter areas and it was great to have a choice, we couldn't hear the main pool music from the little pool. Could always could find an empty sun bed there. Any negatives ? No The whole staff work so hard, to keep the hotel clean, (people did still litter even though recycling bins etc were scattered around the grounds) , the bar staff were as fast as they could be. Restaurant staff likewise, sitting at bigger tables really wasn't an issue. We arrived just after midnight, struggled a bit to find rooms, and really struggled with 20 kg suitcase up two flights of stairs, so ask for ground floor room if mobility an issue as the one lift is up to the restaurant only. Loved the spacious room ,bathroom, patio, and always clean. plus a fridge whoop, l bring a kettle, love a cup of tea. Feedback for the manager, as l see reviews are looked at. The plunge pool needs some repair to the jets as they weren't working, and maybe change the music being played to the present or last decade not 30 year old music. Had a wonderful holiday , nothing but praise for this hotel

The hotel is popular, large, noisy, conveniently located. Our acquaintance with the hotel began with a negative note. We booked a room for 3 people. We got to the hotel at 2 am, fortunately the reception is open 24 hours a day. The issued room greeted us with cockroaches! The reception was not very willing to change us, saying that there were not many places, but they gave us a room on the 3rd floor with a good view, where you can see the sea at the edge. But there was only enough linen for 2 people in the room. Being tired, we divided 2 sets into 3 and in the morning returned to the reception asking for a third set. However, at the reception they decided to give us another spacious room in the neighboring 2-story buildings with a roof terrace. Which, in principle, suited us. It turned out to be not so bad, despite the fact that the hotel is not new and is quite noisy. The rooms are spacious, there is an equipped kitchen, the noise from the street was not very annoying. Cleaning several times a week. The location of the hotel is good, there is a place to park your rental car (after a little searching for a free space), there are large shops around the corner, a bus stop, the beach is 5-7 minutes on foot. We had a good rest! The price basically corresponds to the level. I won’t say anything about food, because... taken without food.
