We were here September 2023 & we really enjoyed it we returned this June 2024. A couple of the previous animation team have sadly left Victor & Mica but Javi & the 3 new girls Marta, Laura & Yumi were brilliant. We had a great time with them. On arrival we had a bit of a wait to check in, must admit they still dont have enough staff on reception, same as last year. We were finally checked in by a very welcoming Nicole. She gave us all the detailed info for the All Inclusive package. We had HB last year. Also our room was ready which was great. Room 101 with a Seaview. Room was very nice, small but fine. Great view of pool & sea. Only ****** was everytime we showered (daily) it flooded the bathroom floor. Just a bad fitting seal. We mentioned it to reception when we checked out so hopefully they will sort it. We just got on with with it but to other guests they may complain. We hired the safe. Makes me laugh about comments on money going missing etc. Hire the safe!!! Simples, yes you have to pay but for the amount it's a no brainer!!! You get the deposit back. Food this year I felt had slightly gone downhill. Choice & quality not as good in my opinion. The restaurant & pool bar staff were great as usual. Evening entertainment was good although for June there were alot of young children running about, over the equipment being set up for some of the shows & the parents doing nothing!!! Seemed left to the animation team to calm them down!! Not on. Parents take responsibility for your own kids! I'm sure they'd have something to say if they hurt themselves. Location of the hotel is great. Everything you want in a stones throw. Again makes me laugh when people say it's over a loud bar. Dont people do their research before they go?! We had a great time and will be back. Thankyou to everyone at H10 Las Palmeras xx
Apartamentos Vista Sur

It was our second time in Vistasur and it didn't disappoint again. Location perfect for bars, restaurants and Safari center, Los Cristianos is a nice 10-minute stroll down the beach for a change of scenery. My partner is a bit of a sun worshipper, so we book the 1 bed premium sea view apartment with frontal sea views which literally gets the sun from sunrise to sunset. If you're a beach person, its literally 5 meters away from apartment. Apartment is well equipped with all tableware, microwave, kettle, toastie machine, electric hob. Although we didn't do much cooking, we did have the odd cheese and onion toastie!! Shower is perfect and there are proper wall mounted A/C units in these apartments. The reason I mention this is because I have seen reviews of ceiling fans in other apartments. I always visit Tenerife once a year and this is my go-to place now. Only one negative - I take my firestick on holiday everywhere I go, although the Wi-Fi is OK for phones tablets etc, it is not strong enough for a firestick(buffering), however, not enough to lose a star.
Whala!Tenerife - Formerly Marola Portosin

If you are groups, this hotel isn't for you We have been coming to Whala (formerly Mar Ola Portosin) for 5 years and this visit was our 4th this year, due to return for our 5th visit in December! Over the years we have built a great relationship with the staff and made lots of friends with returning guest like ourselves. Since changing over to Whala we have noticed various changes, some good some bad. It was my husbands birthday whilst on our recent stay and I had emailed in advance to see if they could perhaps put something complimentary in our room, a note was made on the system but sadly on the day the guy on reception explained he had spoke to management and there was nothing they could do. This was quite disappointing especially as at other hotels you see guests given complimentary stuff for birthdays/engagements/anniversary's. Bear in mind this was our 4th visit THIS year, Little gestures go a long way. When it was Mar ola they had a loyalty scheme which was very rewarding especially for the regular returning guests. I can not fault Wilma on reception, we have a great relationship with him and has always made us feel welcome, same with Jose. Unfortunately he only returned from his holidays on the day we were leaving. I think I speak for a lot of guests, that Lucy and Tom on the pool bar make their holiday and if it wasn't for them I don't as many guests would return. Happy hour was stopped which again I believe this brought guests together, maybe they should try reinstate a daily promotion or offer at the bar, switching the drinks daily to try and bring the fun back to the bar. The biggest issue we see now is young groups. This hotel used to be a strictly no group hotel. It has always been a very family friendly, couples and older guests orientated hotel. There were a young group of 6 lads and they decided to start play fighting, dunking, splashing each other. The lifeguard watched them, but did not tell them to stop, yet if you have a ball or inflatable you get told off! My 5 year old daughter had to get out of the pool due to the constant splashing near her and I was very disappointed nothing was done about this! It's a shame Daniel no longer works here as the lifeguard, he was brilliant for the pool and took no messing. The noise from certain rooms were ridiculous, shouting from balcony to balcony, rolling in at 4am and proceeding to talk loud on their balconies. Its frustrating that such a small minority ruin it for others! A group of girls next to us left their Chinese takeaway on their balcony for 3 days, massive food spillages outside their front door, door bell ringing at early hours. Luckily they did receive a final warning, we felt really sorry for the guy on reception that night he looked like he had had enough. They were dealt with accordingly but still doesn't help being kept awake early hours and puts a dampener on your holiday. If you do struggle with similar situations from loud guests, make sure you tell re

Spent 5 days at this hotel with my 23 year old son. Hotel was lovely and really liked the nature and park feel to the hotel and very spacious room. We booked a superior double so we both had a double bed each and two balconies, one with splendid moutain views. Food was really good with plenty of choice and a bbq area in the garden for evening meal which we preferred as a little less hectic than the main restaurant and you could have yoru own table. Main restaurant very busy with everyone walking around get their selections and tables were seated for 8, not a problem to share and soon got used to this. Drink options were plentiful and we tried all the cocktails, although had to tell the barman off for making very strong measures :). Didnt meet any other english people as mostly spanish and french but everyone was polite. I did miss a kettle in the room so would take a portable kettle next time. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for shopping, beaches, mini golf and bars around as well as lots of walking along the promenade upto Adeje or Los Christianos. A free bus service around the corner takes you to Siam Park (book in advance). Pool areas were very spacious (only spent a couple of hours one morning) and pool lovely to swim in. Overall we had a fabuluous holiday and would highly recommend this hotel, particularly to families.
Gran Oasis Resort

We travelled as a family of four, two adults and two children aged 14 and 10. This was our first visit to Tenerife and we visited during October half term. There were positives and a couple of negatives but overall we had a good time, I just don't think it was the right location for us. Room - duplex one bedroom apartment. Wonderfully spacious and clean, beds all very comfortable. The extra beds in the living room area were much better than some of the converted 'sofa beds' we have experienced on other holidays. I would be worried about the layout if my children were younger but perfect for us. Only negatives for the room was the hot water would run out after 2 people had showered. Reception said each room have a small individual water tank so it needed 15 mins to re heat the water. After staggering our showers we all had hot water. Cleaning service and fresh towels daily if that is your preference. Despite the hot water it was one of the best rooms we have stayed in as a family of four over 14 years of all inclusive holidays across Spain. Location - the hotel is a long way from the heart of the resort and the beach. We did walk to the main shopping area one day and walk back, it was about 4.5 miles (according to my fitness app). There are no shops close by but the hotel has a small onsite supermarket that was reasonably priced. The hotel also has little independent sellers some days offering things like jewellery, clothing, trinkets. The hotel felt a bit isolated when we are used to a daily holiday stroll to the tourist areas but if you are someone who doesn't want to leave the hotel they do bring a lot of extras to you. The hotel is on the side of a mountain and there are lots of steps, didn't bother us at all as we appreciated the views from our balconies but may be an issue for less able bodied visitors. Dining - We found the restaurant very busy on certain days, this is the first All Inclusive we have been on where we have had to queue for a table (not all days) and the queues were sometimes very large. It felt like the restaurant wasn't big enough when the hotel was at capacity (although I have to say the staff work so hard to get the tables cleaned and people seated). Once seated, when busy, it was very chaotic, in my opinion there were not enough food serving areas so long queues formed and not all food was available (often a long wait for the chef cooked meat). Food standard for me is that of a budget 4 star, we certainly didnt starve but the food was definitely not 'wow'. Given what we paid I think it was value for money, the chaos annoyed me more than the standard of the food. Best meal of the day was breakfast. Self service drinks in the restaurant and no issue with that, all drinks were a good quality. Pool bar, opens at 11am. We very much appreciated the self service cokes/lager/wines. So nice not to queue for these. Cocktails/slushies available from the pool bar and never a large queue. The food area has a lot of flies whic

As the title says, this is definitely the best hotel in Playa des Las America's! Most importantly are the lovely, happy, obliging staff in all areas of the hotel. Antonio is fantastic and sorts our holiday room out for us, Eric is great also and very helpful, as are all the other reception staff. All the staff in the breakfast area are so polite and are only to happy to get your morning hot drink, a vast assortment to choose from. The staff are at hand to clear finished plates away for you, it really is a lovely, chilled experience first thing in the mornings. A vast choice of breakfast items to suit all tastes. I would like to mention Sergio in the breakfast area, he really looked after my husband and I for the two weeks holiday, always knowing what drinks we had in the mornings and warmly greeting you. The housekeepers are all lovely and do a great job of keeping every area of the hotel clean. Rooms, bathrooms are cleaned daily and beds changed everyday. The towels are changed twice a day. The hotel is Mexican themed throughout, there is space and tranquility within the hotel grounds, it really is peaceful. My husband and I have stayed at Villa Cortes seven times, normally twice a year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else, definitely a better class than neighbouring hotels! A great location also, right on the seafront and to all the shops and restaurants. Nice to see Wiki again, the hotel Frenchie, she's lovely and friendly.
