Playa de las Americas Hotels with Bars

Myself and my wife visited this hotel late October for 10 days. We had not visited this hotel before however had seen it many times and saw it being rehabbed over the last few years. Result was that it was almost as new when we visited. Rooms were very modern and comfortable. The property was recommended in the Jet2 brochure as 4 star. From my previous experiences in other hotels this hotel was higher than this rating. I am not aware of the rating algorithm however this felt like 5 star. Room was great. Cleanliness excellent and cleaning staff very efficient. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, choices and quality were way above average. We did eat out occasionally as we do but did so much less this time as the food was so good. All inclusive bar drinks and service, again first class. Pool area very clean and always got 2 beds and an umbrella at any time of visit. The hotel is almost fully up to speed and new bars are due opening soon- Sports bar I think is one. It looked finished when we were there and will be another asset to this hotel. We had seen some negative comments on Trip Advisor before we came out which seemed to be around food quality and choice. We could not see where these criticism's could have come from as they were not apparent during our visit. Maybe the teething issues referred to in the Hotel's replies were there initially and have been resolved. Good for them. My last comment is that if you are considering this hotel do yourself a favour and book. I dont think you'll be disappointed.

The hotel is very well placed. The staff is very attentive and friendly and everything is very clean. I only had breakfast at the hotel and the truth is that they had a wide assortment of products to eat. Regarding the pool, it is very small and in the area where it is located there is not even space for a small bar that serves drinks or snacks. You had to get the drinks out of a vending machine. Nobody controls the pool area so anything can happen and not exactly good. It did not occur to me to take photos of the hotel. The quality/price does not compensate me. There are hotels of the same category in the area with better facilities

I went on holiday with my partner far away to celebrate our anniversary and we were super lucky and got an upgrade to one of the duplex with golf views, absolutely beautiful and massive for the 2 of us, but it was a bit disappointed as the room was not clean enough and the housekeeper had to come to clean the bathroom a bit better and also the horrible stains on the floor in the room but after that everything was perfect and we were very happy. The hotel is very good located if you are looking for a quiet place to stay far away from the hubbub but be aware that you need to take taxi to get the beach or rent a bike or a car, walking distance is not an option. The swimming pools are really good and you have plenty of space to sunbathing. The staff at the hotel are exceptional and with a high level of customer service and always willing to help, special mention to Martin from the restaurant and also Raul and Diana from the Reception, very good customers service and happy to help. The breakfast was really good and we were very impressed with plenty of variety for everyone and the staff really efficient. On the negative side we would like to mention that we would have liked a small touch from the hotel to say congratulations as we got engaged and we mentioned to Diana and Raul from the Reception and also to Martin but not a small little thing to say congratulations like a card or 2 glasses of prosecco or kind of. About the room, we would like to mention that the mattress are not very comfy as you expect from a 4* hotel and even though the room was very well equipped we missed a bin in the room and we had to use the one from the bathroom in the living room. We did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot tell about the food there and we did not use the gym or the spa either. We will definitely come back next year.

Was a bit dubious when arriving at this hotel with my friend due to reading quite a few negative reviews, however, very pleasantly surprised! Staff were lovely, check in went smoothly and yes the rooms are a bit ‘tired’ but spotlessly clean with no bugs! Location is perfect, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and of course the sea more than enough pools - probably my only criticism was that there’s not enough sunbeds and if you are lucky to get a bed it’s probably because you woke up at the crack of dawn to put your towel on one! The hotel isn’t the quietest but it’s right by Veronica’s so if you’re looking for a peaceful hotel then bypass this one!(didn’t actually bother us at all as we knew what we were letting ourselves in for) We only booked for breakfast so unable to comment on any other meal times but a lot of food choice and plenty of seating. Thanks to all the staff at the Sol for making our week a good one….will definitely return!

I loved this hotel. Me and my boyfriend decided to go on a short holiday in half term and chose this hotel as it was relatively cheap whilst also being quite central in playa las americas. When we arrived the hotel is very clean. We got to our room and we had been given a double family room for the 2 of us. i didn’t book this so this was a nice surprise as we had a double balcony which looked over the sea and we could see the sunset. The bathroom was lovely and the rooms were very clean with huge beds, cleaned every day to a perfect standard. In the morning we had a buffet breakfast which was extensive and filled us up, the dinner buffet was also really nice and changed every night with fresh food also being made in front of you. The pool side had lots of chairs and we never struggled to get a seat, the pool was nice and a nice temperature. There was a bar near the pool with crisps and drinks and on the last day there was a pool party with music and rubber dingies which we both loved as it was some entertainment. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the beach and the main bars and we managed to walk to many different areas with no problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel can’t fault it

As the title says, this is definitely the best hotel in Playa des Las America's! Most importantly are the lovely, happy, obliging staff in all areas of the hotel. Antonio is fantastic and sorts our holiday room out for us, Eric is great also and very helpful, as are all the other reception staff. All the staff in the breakfast area are so polite and are only to happy to get your morning hot drink, a vast assortment to choose from. The staff are at hand to clear finished plates away for you, it really is a lovely, chilled experience first thing in the mornings. A vast choice of breakfast items to suit all tastes. I would like to mention Sergio in the breakfast area, he really looked after my husband and I for the two weeks holiday, always knowing what drinks we had in the mornings and warmly greeting you. The housekeepers are all lovely and do a great job of keeping every area of the hotel clean. Rooms, bathrooms are cleaned daily and beds changed everyday. The towels are changed twice a day. The hotel is Mexican themed throughout, there is space and tranquility within the hotel grounds, it really is peaceful. My husband and I have stayed at Villa Cortes seven times, normally twice a year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else, definitely a better class than neighbouring hotels! A great location also, right on the seafront and to all the shops and restaurants. Nice to see Wiki again, the hotel Frenchie, she's lovely and friendly.

We were here September 2023 & we really enjoyed it we returned this June 2024. A couple of the previous animation team have sadly left Victor & Mica but Javi & the 3 new girls Marta, Laura & Yumi were brilliant. We had a great time with them. On arrival we had a bit of a wait to check in, must admit they still dont have enough staff on reception, same as last year. We were finally checked in by a very welcoming Nicole. She gave us all the detailed info for the All Inclusive package. We had HB last year. Also our room was ready which was great. Room 101 with a Seaview. Room was very nice, small but fine. Great view of pool & sea. Only ****** was everytime we showered (daily) it flooded the bathroom floor. Just a bad fitting seal. We mentioned it to reception when we checked out so hopefully they will sort it. We just got on with with it but to other guests they may complain. We hired the safe. Makes me laugh about comments on money going missing etc. Hire the safe!!! Simples, yes you have to pay but for the amount it's a no brainer!!! You get the deposit back. Food this year I felt had slightly gone downhill. Choice & quality not as good in my opinion. The restaurant & pool bar staff were great as usual. Evening entertainment was good although for June there were alot of young children running about, over the equipment being set up for some of the shows & the parents doing nothing!!! Seemed left to the animation team to calm them down!! Not on. Parents take responsibility for your own kids! I'm sure they'd have something to say if they hurt themselves. Location of the hotel is great. Everything you want in a stones throw. Again makes me laugh when people say it's over a loud bar. Dont people do their research before they go?! Good location, about 5min taxi to main area or 12min walk Clean rooms, good balcony, great swimming pool Supermarket opposite the hotel as well as a small store inside Decent entertainment Value for money, would stay again.
