Labranda Alyssa Suite Hotel

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for a week. I was very worried on our travel to the hotel due to reading the reviews before hand, however the hotel was better than expected. The rooms were lovely, very spacious and you even have your own terrace area with sundress and a table. Rooms were cleaned everyday but you have to ask for new towels and clean bedding if you want them. The pool was well maintained and very clean. We saw people cleaning it every morning and evening. Always sunbeds available at any point during the day too. The all inclusive buffet was good. Breakfast was definitely the best, lunch and dinner were good too - your usual all inclusive foods. Staff were friendly too and very helpful on the front desk. You’re a 10/15 minute walk away from playa flamingo beach which we took many visits to. There’s lots of shops and restaurants along the beach too which is great. You’re also walking distance to a small Waterpark too. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed it - would recommend if you’re looking for a quiet break away.
Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort

I have just got back from a 10 day holiday at Elba with my Mum and my 4 year old daughter and we absolutely loved it! The pools are absolutely incredible, I had been worried before about how cold they would be following seeing other reviews but I found them perfect. It was a little cold getting in but great for cooling down and was still able to get straight in and did not stop my 4 year old wanting to stay in them all day. The entertainment and the team was faultless and there was such a great variety that we all enjoyed. I didn’t leave my daughter at the kids club but I liked the fact that I could still take her as previous ones I haven’t been able to use unless leaving my child. It was in a great location very near the beach and shops all within walking distance. The food was alright, it wasn’t amazing but I find all inclusives in Spain etc aren’t always the best but there was always something for us all and there was some days that were better than others. We did go to Là Nona one of the days which was the only slight let down as the food wasn’t great but was still a nice experience and the staff was all lovely. Also the staff in the buffet restaurant were always so lovely and really attentive to my daughter and really hard working. The tables could take a while to clear some of the days but if you see how busy they are then it’s understandable. Also I kept reading negative reviews about the drinks bar but in all honestly the longest I waited was 10 minutes and that was normally when an act finished or just generally peak times so again it really wasn’t an issue. I go on holiday atleast once a year and I never would normally go back to the same place as I like going to different places and having different experiences but I would genuinely go back here again as we all just had such a fun but relaxing time. The hotel is lovely and immaculate and the rooms were perfect and I liked that they are bungalow style rather than sky high blocks. Also the rooms were always cleaned really well. The only negative we had was the noisy neighbours but through no fault of the hotel. Lastly I was really worried about the weather beforehand as I have never been to lanzarote and didn’t know how it would be in October but again it was absolutely beautiful and the perfect temperature day and night, I have come back with a lovely tan!
MYND Yaiza

Last year we had two lovely weeks at Mynd in our apartment with private pool and decided to return for another two weeks. Unfortunately this year it was a totally different vibe… Let’s start with the positives. Cleaning really improved (room and pool areas) and more options to eat at the poolbar (unfortunately still long waiting queues). We had an electric problem in the room so no electricity/airco for one night but it was solved immediately the next morning. Marcos, Daniel, Joelle, Alejandro and all the other guys are really nice (it looked like the others were burnout). Marcos recognizes us immediately and came to shake hands (unfortunately this was the only welcome back feeling we had). Viktor of the animation team is a real plus: very friendly, vivid, good with the kids and speaks different languages. Last but not least the Lallama restaurant was still very good (limited choice and inside dinner so only nice for a couple of times). Now why it didn’t felt like ,comming home as friends, (a quote is written on the mirror in the room). We were welcomed as returning guests with the question ‘is it your first time at Lanzerote?’ and offered a drink out of a paper cup from the reception ,mercado, instead of ‘Marcos bar’. A normal glass of wine was not possible so we paid for our ‘welcome back’ drink at the bar with our halfboard paper (paperless?). Also nothing in our room (last year we had a welcome note with a bottle of wine). The first night we had dinner on the terrace of the restaurant (we really loved the outside dinners last year), but now there is a loudly minidisco going on every night instead of nice live music (they replaced the music to the lobby again which has no ambiance) so we were ‘forced’ having dinners outside the hotel (we booked half-board so a lot of money wasted). Then the pool towels… they weren’t in the room so we went to reception and we had to pay a deposit IN CASH which we didn’t have, so we did not get the towels! This didn’t feel welcoming at all. We paid Mynd a lot of money upfront because we trusted Mynd but we weren’t trusted with 3 pool towels?! Also the thing with reserving sunbeds was very irritating (last year they took the towels away) and the queues at the poolbar were worst then last year because of a paper administration for the guest and only one computer to put in the orders. We wrote an email with our feelings about our stay but never got a real feedback (there was new management) or compensation so we bought expensive bottles of wine with our half board paper (we also wanted some to turnover to another family but also a no-go). We had a lovely holiday thanks to our lovely apartment, the beach and the Rubicon restaurants so WHEN we return we book bed and breakfast and bring cash with us for towels 😉!
HL Paradise Island

First time away with two kids myself and I was dreading it after reading the reviews . However we had a great experience and felt completely safe. Our room was clean & no bugs, food was fine - repetitive but always the same on all inclusive- we got a taxi two nights into the town 5€ and went out to eat for a nice change and walk a along beach. Pool was really busy but my kids preferred water park which was much quieter lots of sun beds . Maybe just your luck with which holiday makers you are there with ant the time and what room your given however we had a great time! Staff were on the most, happy helpful and friendly.. a couple of grumps but again always the same! Probably wouldn’t go rushing back, but was a fab holiday we all enjoyed it.
Jardines del Sol

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)

I am currently staying at this hotel, for the 3rd time this year but unfortunately the shine is definitely rubbing off. I am one of the visitors who suffered from the sickness bug for 2 days and have to agree the evening meal food is terrible even in the Italian restaurant not good I was in there last night and was served a Luke warm lasagne (pork and mushroom) and you could have soled your boots with the pork it was that tough, breakfast ok plenty to choose from, I agree it could greatly benefit from an upgrade chipped units in the sitting area of the rooms, various states of sofas from stained and tatty to ok, unless you go for the deluxe rooms which have been refurbished and they are very nice, cleanliness overall I have found to be very good the sunbed situation is an absolute joke, people are sitting on beds at 8 am to get a bed or towels put on when you are told no reserve but nobody seems to do anything about it, overall the staff are lovely and helpful and being a smaller hotel it is friendly but the food situation really needs addressing, was hoping to return again for xmas but seriously considering alternatives
