Mountain View Hotels in Wanning

We had a wonderful two day stay. There weren’t many guests around on the dates we stayed, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The hotel offered a shuttle golf buggy to the beach and nearby places which was a bonus. It rained heavily while we at the beach so staff picked us up in a car. I have already recommended the hotel to a friend! Staff: Friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast: Fresh and healthy, served in the outside coffee/bar summer house. Afternoon Tea: Tasty fruit, fresh juice, local biscuits. Hotel surroundings: The garden is planted thoughtfully and kept tidy. It was nice to have the open covered seating area to rest and read a book. The furniture is good quality and comfy. Swimming pool is a nice size and clean apart from some surface bugs. (it’s not easy to keep all flies/insects out off the pool in a hot place) Dog friendly hotel, the owner’s puppy was super cute! Room: Super view over the mountains. Large balcony. Furniture, towels, toiletries and bedding all high quality. Decor tasteful and modern. Everything felt reasonably new and in good repair. Surrounding area: Quiet village, plenty of places to eat or get coffee. Only cons: Coffee is not included as standard with the breakfast. When it rains the cushions on the balcony’s outside furniture oget wet so you can’t sit on them for some time. I personally didn’t like that you could see into the ground floor rooms from the outside seating and sunbathing areas.

De Vivre is to live, and you will never feel more alive here. Away from the hectic city life and mundane repetitive everyday work rush, you can wind down and relax here. The setting of the place is like a garden, it has a touch of rustic yet modern. If you are looking for a place to take photos then this is the place for you. Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer). The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs. They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant. If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant. Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. They definitely made me feel like home even away from home. This is the perfect getaway for anyone.

The environment is quiet and comfortable, and the room looks exactly like the pictures. As someone particular about pillows, I slept incredibly well. They thoughtfully provided two types of pillows, allowing me to choose the one that suited me best. The breakfast was also quite good. If you're looking to visit the bar street, this is the place to stay—it's only a 6-minute walk away, so convenient! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit. ❤️

I recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots. The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price. Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. The best homestay we had in China. A really beautiful place. But the real beauty lies in the people who work there. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. We also met the owner who is also really friendly and helpful. He took us to a market and to a beach where fishermen pull their nets in the evening. He also invited us to dinner in the evening and we had a great evening with him. The house manager is also a great guy. He took us to the Swallow Cave and helped us get a transport to Sanya when our train was cancelled during a typhoon. We also participated in a number of activities in the afternoon with the wonderful guest service manager. A big thank you to all the warm-hearted people of this hotel, you made our stay really special!

The whole vibe of this hotel is peaceful, green, and super relaxing — perfect for a little escape from the city. While my room didn’t face the ocean directly, it overlooked a beautiful garden full of lush tropical trees and plants. It felt like waking up in the middle of a quiet jungle oasis. I loved how calming it was — birds chirping in the morning, swaying palm trees, and so much natural light. The room itself was spotless and stylish, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. You can tell they care about maintaining the place really well. What really made this stay special was the staff. Everyone I met was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help — whether it was arranging transportation or giving local tips. They even have drivers who can take you around to explore nearby beaches and spots, which was super convenient. One of my favorite little perks? The coffee shop inside the hotel where you can grab free coffee anytime. I spent a lot of time there, sipping on iced drinks and reading in the garden — it was honestly the perfect recharge. The whole property feels cozy and nature-focused. Not flashy or crowded — just clean, peaceful, and full of tropical charm. Ideal for solo travelers or couples who want to slow down and soak in some nature. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Wanning or Riyue Bay. I’ll absolutely be back! 🌺✨

My stay at Footprint Homestay was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was impressed by its elegant design and the warm, attentive service. The staff were professional and considerate, handling check-in efficiently and answering all my questions with great patience, making me feel right at home. They even went extra mile to pick us at the ShenZhou Station which is approximately 3-4mins away from the hotel. The room was spacious, bright, clean, and well-equipped with high-quality amenities. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom featured a separate shower and bathtub, with plenty of hot water and stable water pressure. The location was also ideal, with convenient transportation links and close proximity to several tourist attractions and shopping areas, making it easy to explore or shop. The hotel also offers leisure facilities like a swimming pool, perfect for unwinding after a day out. Every moment spent at Footprint Homestay was comfortable and enjoyable, making it an excellent choice for travelers. Highly recommended!

The sea in Xinqun Bay is really blue It is indeed a glass sea and there are few people. It is really relaxing to take a walk, take photos and drink some wine. It's really comfortable to stay here for vacation. Beach bar, surfing, outdoor swimming pool BBQ, Western food, all kinds of food are available at their home This is the real slow life. No need to run around to various check-in spots, you can get what you want here I like the boss very much. She is very pretty and has a European and American style. She has a very nice personality and even gave me some fruit🥭 Not an exaggeration at all! I feel like I'm on vacation abroad🏖️ You won't get tired of staying there for a week. The joy of waking up and seeing the sea It can be said that this homestay is a surprise of this trip🏄 You can enjoy the whole beach without crowds. You need to book a room in advance, otherwise you really can't book it.

Facilities: Extremely well-equipped. The washing machine and refrigerator are absolutely essential in a tropical coastal city. It was so convenient to just toss our swimsuits into the washing machine after a dip in the sea every day. The guesthouse even provided small packets of laundry detergent, which was more than enough. It was also great to have a fridge for storing fruits and desserts we bought. The TV is large and supports screen mirroring, which is fantastic. The air conditioning is powerful too. We could use the pools and water park at the Legend Seaview Hotel, which is a great perk. Unfortunately, the water park wasn't open in June, but the pool was still very good. Environment: Absolutely beautiful. The balcony view is exceptional, with double-sided sea views. I wanted to take photos every day, and it really lifted my spirits. For this price, this guesthouse offers incredible value. Service: The housekeeper service is excellent. They respond instantly during working hours and are always ready to help. If something was missing or broken, repairs were done very promptly. An auntie came to clean every day, and the service quality was comparable to a hotel. Hygiene: For a guesthouse, the hygiene was already very good. However, I have a few suggestions: First, because the air by the sea is humid, the carpets in the bedroom tend to develop a musty smell if the windows aren't open for a while, and they're difficult to maintain. Dry flooring would be cleaner. It would be great if the carpet could be removed. Second, upon check-in, we found a bit of old food residue in the refrigerator 😂. It would be good to improve the cleanliness of food storage areas like the fridge. Third, perhaps because the entire building consists of apartments with kitchens, we found large cockroaches every day during our stay (for someone from the north, they truly seemed big). However, after asking the cleaning auntie to increase the dosage of cockroach killer, the ones we found afterward were basically dead. Aside from these three points, I was quite satisfied with the guesthouse's hygiene. Location: It's on Rongchuang Peninsula, where there are plenty of dining and shopping options. There are also many shuttle buses to the beach, which is very convenient. However, food and drinks on the island are a bit pricier. We rented an electric scooter and sometimes went to the village for meals and to buy fruit.

The vibe at Surfers Garden is chill and cool but a little bit too much. My room had no towels, no toilet paper. Cabinet to store my things in the shared room couldn’t lock. The room itself can’t lock from the outside as well and too often when I was looking for someone at the reception there were no one … When you finally catch someone to give you a towel, be aware that it’s a disposable towel. So better bring your own. In the morning, don’t hope to get a coffee at their bar before 9am or 10am. The whole place looks a bit messy and the reception space looks unfinished. Staff is friendly tho. The guesthouse is surrounded by many little shops and local restaurants. You can reach the Ri Yue Wan beach where you will find bar/coffee, clubs, shops, surfing clubs etc. in 15 min walking or 5min by e-bike. Ri Yue Wan beach area is definitely the place to be to enjoy a good “beach/surfer” vibe sipping a cocktail in front of the beach. At night, this place turn into a music festival area where everyone display live show music and DJ and expect fireworks on the beach almost every 15min. If you are looking for surfing club in this area, I would recommend to check Shaka surf club. Good service, good price, and so far the most professional to me at Ri Yue Wan.
