I don't know why I can't book a lake view room on Ctrip. Most of the reviews I saw from Ctrip tourists are about staying in a city view room. We can check the room on Ctrip and then go to the hotel's official website to book a room, and we will get a relatively good room. The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it is by the lake, close to the attractions, within walking distance, very convenient for cruise ships and trains, and the breakfast is also good. The only problem is that the city view room is too small, and two large suitcases can't fit in. Large stately hotel. the hotel also has residences which means less hotel guests and traffic (in a good way). i generally look for hotels with pools and saunas attached and the pool area has was beautiful was outdoor patio with view of alps and lakes. Lockers, robes and slippers provided. i had room #205 which had peekaboo view of lake and mainly a rooftop, I suspect City View rooms would be noisy with busy road in front. book lake view if possible. the front staff was lovely and very helpful. They were very accommodating in trying to sort out my room. I could have been made to move after the 1st night but to their credit - saw it was easier to keep me in the same room. restaurant and bar with outdoor seating looking out towards lake and promenade. Heavenly!
