I have stayed here a few times and it’s always a lovely experience. Usually the employees at the front desk are the most smiley, but everyone else keeps to themselves. When at breakfast, there was always a gentleman that everyday I would notice was smiling at everyone, making sure they were taken care of. Walking by? Smiling. Helping someone ? Smiling. Leaning up a table, smiling. He had the most lovely and inviting demeanor and made guests feel welcome in a new country. Thankful for him. But shout out to Jaime, smiles are welcoming and rare these days, but oh so appreciated. Whoever his boss is, feel free to contact me. I’ll be doing a review of the hotel on IG too.

the lift was broken 2/3 days we were there- carrying luggage up three flights not fun! hoofing it up three flights after 15,000 steps sightseeing the city also not fun! the “AC” in the room is barely functional- it blows air but not cool air. the fitness center was closed or ‘out of order’ when i was there. the check-in takes a long time… and there is only one check-in desk. they DO graciously offer a glass of water or wine while you wait- but it is tedious to sit in the very small lobby watching the receptionist slowly check in the guest ahead of you taking twenty minutes… after a 12 hour flight and train ride - you just don’t need this. i chose this hotel BECAUSE it had a lift and a fitness center… it was aggravating that these features were simply not available in actuality. they should have comped me a free breakfast or something since i DIDN’T get what i paid for… the staff was friendly though, and the room was pretty and comfortable. also it was nice that they placed complementary water bottles and snacks in the room. they MUST improve and speed up their check in process! they must fix the AC, the lift, and the fitness center. if not, they should offer guests a complementary breakfast as a small compensation. i could have selected a cheaper hotel that didn’t have these amenities. i paid more for this hotel FOR these amenities. not good business to not deliver what was offered.
