Novotel London Canary Wharf

Extremely disappointing stay and definitely not what you would expect from a Novotel. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning in our room was completely broken, yet nobody informed us at check-in. This is something guests should always be told before being assigned a room. The room temperature remained at 28°C during the first night and reached 29°C during the second, making it almost impossible to sleep. To make matters even worse, the windows could not be opened, meaning there was absolutely no fresh air or natural ventilation. The room literally felt like a sauna, creating an unhealthy environment that no guest should ever have to endure. As soon as we realized the situation, I contacted Trip.com to try to change hotels. Unfortunately, every suitable alternative was either fully booked, far outside our budget, or offered significantly lower-quality accommodation. Relocating would also have meant wasting valuable vacation time packing everything again and completing another check-in process. I documented the room temperatures with photographs, clearly proving how unacceptable the conditions were. Spending two nights in a room constantly between 28°C and 29°C is simply unacceptable for any hotel, let alone an international brand like Novotel. I would strongly advise future guests to think twice before booking this hotel, especially during warmer months. Basic comfort, transparency, and guest wellbeing should never be optional. I sincerely hope the hotel learns from this experience and starts putting its guests’ health and comfort first.

Pleasant stay at Novotel London Canary Wharf, a bit of a cold welcome at reception when checking in (2 of the 3 staff members on the phone, the 3rd busy filling out forms and didn't acknowledge me even though I was the only person standing at the reception desk for what felt like long minutes). I recently stayed at Novotel London Canary Wharf and it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in London. From the moment I checked in, the atmosphere felt modern, welcoming, and effortlessly comfortable. The highlight of the stay was definitely the view from my room. Waking up to the Canary Wharf skyline and watching the city lights come alive at night was incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the entire room feel bright and spacious, and the panoramic cityscape gave the stay a real luxury feel. Another standout experience was visiting Bōkan, the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking , you get a stunning panoramic perspective of the whole of London, from Canary Wharf to landmarks across the city skyline. Whether during sunset or later in the evening, the atmosphere is unforgettable. The combination of great food, drinks, and those sweeping views made it one of the best parts of the trip. The hotel amenities were also excellent. The pool was clean and relaxing, perfect after a long day exploring or working in the city. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout, and the sauna added an extra touch of relaxation that really elevated the overall experience. Overall, Novotel London Canary Wharf delivers the perfect mix of comfort, modern luxury, amazing facilities, and spectacular London views. I’d happily stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Canary Wharf.

Staff were really lovely, the room was very clean and housekeeping changed our sheets and towels after the first night. Bokan was amazing. The gym only had weights up to 10kg so wasn’t of much use.

I have stayed at Novotel quiet a few times now and always pleased each time

Aunty and I stayed as the location was great for a show. The hotel was fabulous from the attentive staff to the breathtaking view from the rooftop bar/restaurant.

Pool and sauna were nice but there’s barely any equipment in the gym. Just cardio machines and free weights.

Great stay at the Novotel Canary Wharf. super easy access to the subway and a smooth connection to the airport, which made getting around effortless. There's a convenient coffee shop right downstairs, perfect for a quick start to the day. Loved being able to unwind at the pool and sauna after a long day out. Definitely will come back!
