One of our best experience. Best part about Manukan Sutera lodge 1) very helpful and friendly staff. 2) i booked 2 rooms. They gave me adjoining room. Super helpful for family with kids. 3) very spacious rooms. 4) sunset viewpoint is a big plus. U get the see the beautiful sunset. But have to walk 1.5km to and another 1.5km back. 5) private beach is helpful for guests so that we don't have to share the public beach with the rest of the visitors. U get to see more fish and corals because fewer tourists to scare away the fish 6) free rental snorkeling equipment. 7) delicious and sumptuous breakfast. 8) easy boat transport. Free overnightt parking at sutera marina club. Disadvantages 1) no data signal or wifi in the room.have to go to reception for wifi or data signal. 2) dinner is slightly more expensive because there is only 1 restaurant, so no other choices. But food is delicious, even for the fried rice (see pic)

I was a bit reluctant at first to go on an island resort (in case it's bad, you're trapped!) But this resort made me change my mind on KK! Their restaurant has amazing food! Probably the best I had during my stay in Malaysia. Beach was cleaned every morning, and different areas of the island gave the feeling of different beaches. Great pool as well, only for in house guest, so we were alone all the time. Some hiking trail (but easy one) to cross the island and see the sunset.. I'll be back for sure !

The room is large but poorly equipped. There are no supporting facilities in the hotel. There is only one restaurant, but the dinner is delicious and not expensive. When we checked out, the hotel staff did not carry our suitcases onto the boat. They immediately informed the captain. The captain told us not to worry about another boat taking our luggage with us. After we arrived at the shore, we waited and waited to send our luggage back. I called the hotel for nearly two or three hours but no one answered. Fortunately, we found the only staff member on the shore. After contacting him, we found that our luggage was taken back to the resort lobby (mixed with the luggage of other guests who had just checked in) and we were asked to wait for three hours before the boat returned our luggage. Note: During this period, the island staff still cannot be contacted, and the phone number seems to be fake.

After staying in the city for a few days, I decided to come to the island to relax for two days. The hotel recommended points: 1. There are few guests, and it is very quiet after the island hopping tourists leave. 2. Private beach. Snorkeling spot. You can enjoy the joy brought by the sea at any time every day. 3. Wake up every morning to the sound of waves and birds. 4. The hotel's meals are completely in line with your taste, which is quite rare.

The environment is really super beautiful! I booked a villa on the bottom floor of the mountain, facing the sea. Just based on this view, I can give it a score of 4.5, which can make up for the lack of facilities. We stayed in the old Hyatt in Kota Kinabalu for the first three nights. The hygiene and facilities are definitely not comparable to such a hotel, but other aspects are really super. It is especially suitable for family travel. Sunbathing and snorkeling on the island are great. The key point! I think the food is good! It’s not too expensive, and it’s completely ok for staying for 2-3 days. Remember to chase the sunset! It’s so beautiful!

Very satisfied, there are not many people island hopping, but the water is muddy at noon. I was disappointed with snorkeling when I first went there, but I found that after the island hoppers leave the island and before 10 o'clock the next day, the water is very clear and there are a lot of fish. There are schools of fish at the pier. You can swim across the first safety line and snorkel within the second safety line. You can see many fish, corals, and sea urchins. My family can swim, and we have swam almost all of them. Here are some suggestions for everyone. In addition, I live in a cabin by the sea, which is very good. There is a trail entrance here, a total of 1,500 meters. The sunset is the most beautiful when you climb to the end. There are three trees that are more than 200 years old. You must go and see it!
