Excellent location with many shops around. The busiest mall, Imago shopping mall is just a 10-minute walk. The hotel is equipped with a shared kitchen, washer and dryer. The room is clean. Check-in and out is easy with the instructions given.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights during the Chinese New year period. The rooms have been updated recently (review written in Jan 2023). The beds were comfortable, the rain showers were great, and the wifi was really fast. It is very easy to walk to the imago shopping centre which is literally the neighbouring building. The service was good too. What was not so good - no pool for the price point; traffic into the KK Times square/imago area can be quite jammed; our room smelt of old smoke when we first arrived; needing to use stairs to access the lift from the ground floor.

The hotel staff from the beginning of the booking has done a great and wonderful job.. they help me with contacting the driver to help me with a really late pick up at the airport.. the driver also such a great man.. kudos to him waiting for me until late hours.. the staff of the hotel all done such a great job.. even their house keeping lady is such a sweetheart.. i have such a pleasant stay there and will definitely go back if i ever went back to kk.. good job all 🫰🏻

Things that are lacking probably is the shaver they don’t provide, internet not really connecting to the tv and limited 3 bottle of 500ml for 3 person..

Booked this hotel for Marathon event at PADANG BANDARAN DBKK Kota Kinabalu.
This hotel only a stone throw away from the event that I enrolled. Oposite is famous and popular GAYA STREET. Hotel are clean and I love the Reception and Restaurant staffs. Friendly and are excellent. They have breakfast which is adequate to fill your hungry stomach. The BREAKFAST NEED IMPROVEMENT. Lacking the choices of FRUITS and Bread Rolls. They do have cakes but providing a few extra bread rolls and fruits won't harm the restaurant budget. HOWEVER THIS HOTEL I FULLY RECOMMENDED to everyone or and travellers.
This hotel toilet is also MUSLIM FRIENDLY. THE WATER SPRAY Pressure ARE STRONG. NICE.
****FRIENDLY REMINDER, this hotel charge for Parking Fees which is RM5 only during my one night stay with family.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the check-in and check-out process was super quick. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Imago, with stores and restaurants outside the hotel.
The room was great. I have to say the bathroom area is spacious, but the doors are a little weird. The room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable.
We also had the Saturday night buffet. It so happened that the buffet was busy that night, and I think they could have prepared better, but overall, the food was fantastic! Highly recommended.

GGuest UserToujoo is tucked in a little corner of KK city center, easily accessible for tourists and locals alike. Our room was clean (room 102-studio double window), bed super comfy, bathroom is tiny (expected) but well ventilated and water pressure is good. Soundproofing is good and it's quite quiet, we didn't hear our neighbours and the storm brewing outside. The room is equipped with Bluetooth speakers, which we really liked. No TV. Plenty of electrical points to charge your devices. Also, guests can use the facilities in OPIS (between Ground floor and First floor). Great area to lounge around, make your own coffee/tea, play pool, or read. There's also a house cat (Pablo?) if you need some pet therapy. 😆 Sundays are good for ladies (free flow cocktail at the Tamu rooftop bar 5-7pm) plus the food is superb! Overall this place is highly recommended!

Try local foods around this hotel e.g, 1) Yee Fung…..don’t miss Wonton Soup 2) Keng Wan Hing……Big Pau (Chinese bun) with hot coffee Actually, Atkinson Tower and Signal Hill Observatory are in walking area but both have been closed for renovation. I stayed in Single room without window…..clean, private bathroom, air condition, tv……..anyway, there was no daily housekeeping? Cos I stayed 2 nights but no one came to my room. I stayed on 3rd floor (only 3 floor…..still have a lift) and there was heavy rain on 2nd night…….big rain big sound……made my Cinemax….watching Indiana Jones….gone with the rain…..no signal at all (TV Hotel) In the summary, highly recommended for reasonable price for budget traveller upon prime location. Note for Airport Transfer From KKiA or BKI, there was no operation of Airport Bus due to Covid situation. Then, you can rake a taxi at fixed fee at 30 ringgit or grab only 10 ringgit……for sure….Grab….airport bus only 5 ringgit

NNanie Idayu MMy husband and I spent two nights here. The queen room size is suitable for family with 2 children under 10. During our stay the tv channels had problems due to the change from analogue to digital tv. We asked for help from the maintanence and he showed up...3 times but the problem unsolved (my husband was quite upset because he wanted to watch the Malaysia Cup final between JDT and Kedah... lol). We have not tried the food because breakfast was not included in my room rate. Mini bar is not provided in room. The room and bathroom are clean. The hotel provide a newspaper every morning. The location is good even for those who come without transportation...just a few minutes walk to Imago, Craft Market and KK market

RRajTheRacerAs my first trip to Kota Kinabalu, my aunt had booked a room here at this hotel as she arrived here first. Since I was coming to visit, she had requested for a bigger room and asked if they had a discount if she upgraded. Unfortunately no. So I had met up with my family a few days later late at night from another trip with friends. My first impression was this hotel was located in a dank looking mall. Furthermore, upon getting ready for bed, the sheets were gross and stained, the pillows were yellow and ants were climbing on the wall where my tiny twin sized bed was up against. I literally could not sleep as some got onto the bed sheets, mind you its almost 1am. The next morning, I found a few ants climbing on my suit case as well. Being disgusted by this, I insist we move out immediately. I had gone online and booked a nicer room at the Ming Garden. We tried to get a refund since my aunt had pre-paid in advance for the nights I was visiting. They would not do anything for us, they said if there were bugs to call room service. Honestly, I don't think they would understand this but when there are ant's, MORE will come. And what? You're gonna have the maid spray RAID next to my bed at 2am? That smell of bug spray probably isn't good to inhale. They looked at us like we were being too much or too extra but honestly, we're from the USA and I haven't stayed in such an unsanitary hotel before. Not even in the Philippines. What is really frustrating is they wouldn't give my aunt a refund. They could only offer her credit to stay at a later date. This would never fly or be alright in the USA. Very disappointing in the service. Just beware! This was terrible service in my honest opinion and the Ants! I had to check everything in the new hotel as some ants got into my suitcase. DISGUSTING. BEWARE. DON'T STAY HERE. Photos are also false advertising of the deluxe room. The walls were cracking, the floors were warping....just beware.

虱虱子多了不怕咬Gaya Street is great, a lot of food, no need to look at the guide, just go to a store is very delicious. The night market is just like our night market. Gaya Street exchange money, the exchange rate is very cost-effective, much more cost-effective than Semporna! But in Kota Kinabalu, there is almost no need to change money, Alipay is universal. It is very convenient to eat durian on Gaya Street. You can sit in the store and eat slowly. You will prepare paper towels and gloves. Gaya Street, many handwritten gifts, can be Alipay. Gaya Street is also very close to the pier. It is recommended to choose to live in Gaya Street. It is very convenient to go back to the hotel at any time when you are tired from shopping.

Manukan is famous for its many and comprehensive water entertainment projects and is in a better location, located in the middle of Shabi and Mamoody Island, so it is often selected as one of the day trip destinations.

Aariel423Mamoody Island was the first island we chose for our island hopping tour, and the weather was not bad at the time. The time to go to the island was very short, mainly for playing projects on the island, we played with a drag umbrella, it was fun and a bit exciting. After the project ended, I went directly to Shabi Island. I heard that Mamoody Island snorkeling can see the clown fish. We didn't see it. It's a pity. The scenery is OK, the disadvantage is that the island hopping tour organization is really chaotic, and it takes a long time to go to other islands and return.
