Hot spring Hotels in Kagoshima

Hotel is a bit far from train station but they do provide free shuttle bus service. The hot springs bath is located on the top floor with good view of the volcano mountain. You can enjoy the views while taking the bath. There are also many shopping and entertainment complexes close by.

Art Hotel's main room has a view of the Sakurajima volcano, which is very beautiful. However, the only drawback is that the terrace door cannot be opened. This may be due to guest safety issues. The most commendable thing was the male staff at the front desk. Since we didn’t speak Japanese, we asked him to call a yakiniku restaurant to reserve a seat for us. He very politely called the yakiniku restaurant immediately and asked us to The process was very pleasant.

Except for the compact room, everything else is satisfactory. The breakfast is very good, the hot spring is also good, there is a round-trip bus from the hotel to Kagoshima Central, the hotel departure time is 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour, and the departure time from Kagoshima Central West Exit to the hotel is also 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour. The shuttle bus starts at 6 am and ends at 10 pm. The hotel is worth experiencing!

I was looking for a hotel with hot springs on a solo trip. It is close to the station and has a hot spring, so I am happy with this price. The meal was near the station, so I enjoyed what I liked outside. The quality of the hot springs is slimy and salty, which I love. My body has become smooth. The open-air bath is very small and large enough to be able to relax by yourself. I enjoyed soaking slowly by myself. There was a rest space for women and a staff when I got off the elevator, so I was able to take a bath with peace of mind. The Ferris wheel was visible from the window of the room and the light up at night was nice. The unfortunate place is where the scale such as the mirror in the bathroom was terrible.

I stayed for two nights on consecutive holidays. Book with a plan with half board from the homepage. I didn't expect the dish of ”Sakurajima Gozen” because it was not expensive for consecutive holidays, but it was not so poor, it was delicious, and I was full. The staff at the restaurant and the front desk felt good and I was able to spend it comfortably, but only one. I told the staff (grandmother) of the large communal bath to use the washing machine next to the large communal bath at night and paid 100 yen to wash. At that time, the dryer was in use, but it was 100 yen for 30 minutes, so I thought it would end by the time I finished the laundry, so I started washing for the time being. The laundry was finished in 30 minutes, so when I came from the room, the dryer remained on. There is no indication of ”how many minutes remaining” in the dryer like at home, and I don't know when it will end. When I asked the grandmother of the staff, ”How much longer will it end?”, I was told, ”I don't know” and ”It's faster to dry in the room than to dry it with a machine.” There is also a sign that it stops I had to dry it with a dryer because I was leaving tomorrow, so I waited all the time. The grandmother of the staff should receive money from people who use the washing machine or dryer, and it would be nice if she managed how long she was using it, but she didn't seem to feel that way, and she had a long ear. I couldn't answer the answer accurately, and I was wondering what it was. After all, the dryer was turned around for an hour and I don't know if it was a customer or staff, but the dryer was empty before 22:00. During that time, there was a person who came to do the laundry, but it seemed like a staff member. I don't know the time to end because it's not a coin-operated washing machine or dryer, and there's no atmosphere like the price is properly managed, and I thought it might be better not to use it because it's troublesome.

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!
