Our stay at Esko’s Cabins was simple incredible. This was our first trip to Finland, and we were mesmerised by its beauty. We flew into Ivalo airport, and after a night there we made our way from Ivalo bus station to Inari where Esko picked us up. On arrival he showed us to our cabin. It was perfect, lots of room for our luggage, a very comfortable bed, toilet, colour changing lights, and beautiful views from the huge windows. We headed over to basecamp. The attention to detail and design here was amazing. There was space in the communal area to relax with a full kitchen to use as needed with tea and coffee available. The toilets and showers are here too with all you could need, towels, slippers, shower gel, etc. There are also show suits, boots, socks and gloves and high vis jackets available to use too. We arrived early afternoon and used the kick sledges to explore. We headed down to the village (about 1km away) and went to the Siida Museum which was great (nice café too). We then headed down the road and had few drinks in PaPaNa (bar and pizza restaurant). Our first night we chose to eat at the cabins in the BBQ hut. Our food was cooked on the open fire in the middle of the hut whilst we chatted and drank local glogi – a wonderful experience which I would highly recommend. The time came to go out onto the lake. Flasks were available to make up, and we sat on the bed whilst being towed out into the darkness. It was an awesome experience to be there on the lake. The sky was star filled and magical, with just a hint of the aurora for us (an excuse to return to try again). We stood outside and took in the silence and stillness of our surroundings which was incredible. Breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble – we were so well looked after. Our trips and transport were all booked and we paid for it all (by card) at the end of our trip. We went out into the forest and did some skiing which was fantastic – the beauty of the landscape was just amazing. We were picked up for our snowmobiling trip. This was across the lake and was such fun, we saw reindeer roaming around and stopped for a drink at one of Finland’s wilderness camping sites. We spent some more time in the village, having a meal and drinks. The hospitality from everyone we met was second to none. Of course, I must mention the sauna. This is log fired and simply wonderful. Standing out in the snow then getting into the sauna was an experience not to be missed. The team were exceptional, we were made so welcome and really switched off from the world for our stay. Silver log cabin built in 1983 is in Laanila area 4 km to the south from the center of Saariselkä, by the small river of LaaniojaCabin has a kitchen-living room with a fireplace and sofabed (width 140 cm), bedroom with 2 beds (width á 80 cm), bedroom with a double bed (width 160 cm), wood-heated sauna/shower, changing room, toilet, terrace.A small dip is possible in small river of Laanioja, but not suitable for swimming.Features include also a large set of cutlery and cookware, coffee maker, toaster, mixer, coffee maker Nespresso Vertuo (capsules not included in the price), hair dryer, iron and ironing board.Another rental cottage in the same yard, Oton Kämppä. The cottages have a shared rivershore, campfire place (in use only in summer time), as well as firewood storage.Pets are allowed at an extra fee (a fee per booking).

A cozy log cabin in the Laanila area, along the Laanioja river. Saariselkä center services 4.1 km away.The 50-square-meter cabin has a kitchen/living room, a bedroom, a washroom, a wood-heated sauna, a toilet and a terrace. A shared beach, fireplace (only on summer) and wood storage with another cottage in the courtyard, Kelokoto. The car's heating plug is in the wall of the adjacent cabin, a long extension cord is used.Sleeping facilities: double bed (140 cm) in the bedroom and a sofa bed for two (140 cm) in the living room.Cabin 16403 Kelokoto is also available for rent through Lomarengas.You can go for a dip in Laanioja river, but it is not deep enough for swimming.The cottage is equipped with crockery and cookware, coffee and water kettle, toaster, stick blender, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and blackout curtains.Pets allowed for additional fee (a fee/booking).During the ski season, the ski bus travels through Laanila according to the schedule.

A flat-screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player are available in some units. There is also a kitchen in some of the units, fitted with a dishwasher and oven. 315 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 48 km to the southwest from Inari, river Lemmenjoki, lake Äivihjärvi, distance 40 m, quickly deepening beach, small stones on the bottom, own rowing boat.Massive square log cabin, inner walls are paneled, built in 1990. Living room/kitchen with spreadable sofa, bedroom with 2 beds, sauna, washroom/WC, sauna, covered veranda. There is no TV in this cabin.Barbecue hut, which is shared among four cottages.Small dogs are allowed and dogs must be kept on a leash. The cabin is in four-cabin community, near the owner's reindeer farm (distance to house is about 100 m). There is a reindeer fence in the owner's yard where you can often see reindeers. The owner can sell you reindeer meat products.The cabin is surrounded by the magnificent landscapes of Lemmenjoki, the river Lemmenjoki flows through the lake Äivihjärvi. Lemmenjoki national park, which is located closest 200 m behind the river and lake, is easy to reach from the cabin by using own boat included in the cabin. Distance to the opposite lake shore is 550 m. Distance to the national park is 7 km along the road.Tourist facilities of Lemmenjoki are near (6 km). There are versatile transportation and trip supply in Njurgalahti (6 km), for example, transports to Lemmenjoki gold digging areas and to Ravadasköngäs waterfall, equipment rental etc. (see www.luontoon.fi).In Njurgalahti, there are nature trail (length 4 km) and mountain route of Joenkielinen (length 16 km). Along the boat route, there is access to the hiking trail Ravadasjärvi - Morgamojan Kultala - Kultasatama - Ravadasjärvi (length 26.5 km, www.luontoon.fi).Fishing: Fishing in Lemmenjoki national park is only permitted with angling permit, area 1562 Lemmenjoki (see www.eraluvat.fi).Hunting: Small game hunting in the state owned lands, area 1610 Hammastunturi (www.eraluvat.fi).Village of Inari, the Sámi museum and nature centre Siida and Sámi culture centre Sajos 48 km.

The house is located directly on the lake and can only be reached by car. The temperature is nice and pleasant in the house, so you don't have to freeze. The kitchen is small but nice, could at most be a little better equipped. The sauna also heats up qui

Nice place to stay with easy access to amenities and holiday activities. Breakfast spread is good and facilities are well upkeep. Room price is on the expensive side with limited availability. Due to the placement of the rooms, it might be challenging for some people, especially older folks, to move from reception to their rooms to carry their baggage. There are no WiFi, TV, fridge, or desk phone in certain rooms. Most likely a one-time experience to stay and that's about it.

This place is a hidden gem. Second time here and we'll defenitely come again. We highly recommend the juutua suite. And what a new Koski sauna!! There were spa atmosphere, amazing place. Perfect place to relax. We ate at the Aanaar - again, and it was amazing - again. Maybe the best menu ever here. The cocktails is best in the whole country. Customer servie was so polite and friendly for the whole stay. You have to experience this place!

Right next to the bus stop, there is no need to find a place after arriving, the lady boss will go out to greet him personally, and the store is very enthusiastic! You can see the aurora basically when you leave the room (if you are lucky), there is also a bonfire waiting for the aurora. The bonfire is on the river bank, there is no light pollution. There are also projects such as skiing, snowmobiling, husky sledding, but it’s a little more expensive than the Sarika’s. The breakfast is 10 euros for one person, a typical European breakfast, the portion is sufficient and the taste is not bad. The apartment where the four of us live is also a small wooden house. The sanitary conditions are very good, and the room is quiet and suitable for posing. All in all, I highly recommend staying here for two or three days. The chalet here is not worse than the glass house in Sarika!

The room is very large, there are 4 rooms, each of which is this twin bed, there are kitchen, sauna, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave, oven, refrigerator and other facilities, very convenient.
