Besides the cold weather when we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff at the reception. The room was clean & bright. Location is near Chai Wan MTR and a few shopping malls around it, where we can get food & some simple shoppings. CityBus A12 directly from the Airport makes traveling more economical and hassle-free.

The first night, we were unable to sleep well because the air con was far too noisy but many thanks to the hotel , we were given another room which was bigger and spacious. That was truly a surprise and a treat ! To me, it was like a birthday present from the hotel (21 Dec). For the rest of the stay, our sleep was restful and pleasant . The rooms are clean (we have booked 2 rooms, the other room was occupied by my sons) and the toiletries are complete and smell nice. Towels are thick and clean. A surprise came to one of my sons . His birthday is 19 Dec and the hotel has given him a cake which was personally baked by the hotel chef (which I learnt from the staff; I had initially thought was bought from the bakery outside ). The cake was so tasty and delicious . Thanks to the chef ! Thanks to the hotel ! On the day of check-in, the receptionist had wished him happy birthday, but never in our mind he would be given a cake . A special thanks to Xavier who was cheerful and helpful towards us in assisting us with calling the cab on two separate occasions, giving directions for the drivers to come to the hotel. We are not conversant with Cantonese and he is definitely a great help. Also after drinking the coffee, he happily offered to throw away our empty cups. I felt that it was not his job (as anyone should throw his own trash), but he insisted and did it willingly and cheerfully . He made our stay really pleasant . Thanks, Xavier! More to add, the gym and pool table are plus points, suit the needs of my husband and sons . On a separate note, the blind on the leftmost glass window (next to bed) does not roll down properly . I had to manually roll it down , sorry for unhooking some of the hooks of the day curtain. Blessed Christmas to the management and staff of the Ovolo southside! :)

Amazing place! Already entering the reception, you can smell the fresh recent renovation, the aroma of the diffuser. Our room 2007 was on the 20th floor and exceeded all expectations. The room has everything you need and even more - a comfortable bed with an automatic lifting mechanism, a sofa, a TV, air conditioning, a mini-kitchen (with dishes and cutlery, a kettle, a jug for water), a dining area with 4 chairs, a shoe rack, lots of storage space, an ironing board with an iron, electric blinds, USB sockets. Very thoughtful lighting. Every day cleaning is provided, a couple of times towels were changed. On the third floor - a free laundry with a dryer, a gym, a shared kitchen for cooking, a coffee maker, a place for eating. On the first floor - a cafe where you can have breakfast / lunch / dinner. For guests a 20% discount. Great location - 2 minutes by bridge to the metro, also a lot of bus stops nearby; there is a shopping center. Minus - when booking we were not warned that the deposit would be about 500 HKD per day, for 4 days it seems too high (2000 HKD), which was almost comparable to the cost of our reservation. We did not have this amount in cash, we paid with a UP credit card, at the time of publication of the review the bank has not yet returned the funds.

Enjoyed this hotel so much! Love its location too! It’s soooo close to everything (given that the hotel has a dedicated entrance to the MTR)

Their services is really 10/10 and staffs very very polite and professional :) Natie from Guest service dept she brought us to the room, and do room tour for us! And show us what is good in HK. She is very very professional & always show her smile to us , we will definitely be back again! Thank you and appreciated! And pls visit the indoor swimming pool , u will definitely love it VERY VERY MUCH!

Would like to compliment Joyce and Alan. 2nd morning of my stay went down to reception front desk. Joyce and Alan was on duty. They are very helpful and arrange the pick up and drop off for shuttle to west kowloon station and airport. Info they give is very detail. Location is good. Alot of buses go to shatin station and can go anyway from there. I will stay there again. Maintenance of their room need to improve. Basin tap is shaky like going to drop off Oh 1 more thing. Joyce can remember my room number when I change shuttle to airport time. Was so impress.

I travel through Hong Kong about four times a year ~January, February, June and August. I used to stay at the Regal at the airport for years but 2021, after COVID, when the Regala Skycity opened I've only stayed there. Service is great, buffet is sumptuous, and the bed is just right for me. They had a new feature when i checked in last month (August, 2024) ~ water thermos that can be filled from the passageway. It's so much better than plastic bottles. And the water was nice and cooling. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel, artistic design and layout. Closer to metro station 5-10mins. The size of the room is enough for my family. They regularly clean the room which is nice. They provided toiletries but sometimes were inconsistent. For 4pax booked, sometimes they provided 2 sets of toothbrush/slippers. Other days they provided 4. No problem though, you can always ask the receptionist but it would be better if consistent. However, one of the reasons I chose this hotel are the amenities posted. Children playground-maybe I overlooked it or haven't read that you need to pay for 200 hkd per hour. So it is not free. Swimming pool- you need to book in order to use and limit it for 1.5hrs only. I am not sure if it comes with a fee, better check it first. No free drinking water provided. Charger outlet/adapter- you need to buy or bring one Using their power source- it takes ages to charge. Tried the breakfast, just okay for 77/pax Overall, a good stay but would prefer another hotel with the same rate next time.

Good location, shopping mall just nest to the hotel. Bus terminal to town or to airport just 5 min walking distance. The light rail station is opposite the shopping mall, get down at Gonzalo station and 5 min walk to the hotel.
