Hotel&Spa Century Marina Hakodate

Last time I came to Hakodate, I stayed at the famous La Vista Hakodate Annex Hotel (not the one in Hakodate Bay). The experience was very good. However, because the itinerary was a bit rushed this time, I didn't book La Vista. I temporarily chose Century Marina, which has a good reputation. The location is right next to La Vista and is also in the Kanemori Warehouse Group. It takes about 7 minutes to get there from the JR station. Downstairs is the Hakodate Morning Market. The feature here is that guests can choose their favorite aromatherapy and pillows that they feel comfortable with before checking in. There are many choices of aromatherapy and pillows, each with a large row, and there is always one suitable for you. Aromatherapy can be placed next to the pillow to help sleep. La Vista is more famous for breakfast, and I didn't expect Century Marina to be quite good. The variety is very rich and the ingredients are top-notch. During the peak breakfast time, there will be a queue for calling numbers. Many Hakodate-limited ones must not be missed. Beer and champagne are provided, and coffee is from the local brand Meiling, which can be taken away when you leave. The open-air hot spring faces Mount Hakodate, and the scenery is not much different from La Vista. There are indoor and outdoor hot springs. The outdoor one is of course not to be missed, but it will be closed if it rains, so be aware of this. Take an open-air bath while looking at Mt. Hakodate and the streets of Hakodate, and then have a spa after coming out, and the fatigue of the journey will disappear. By the way, the lotion here is particularly easy to use, a local brand, the lotion is very easy to spread, and has a good moisturizing effect. It is sold in the store downstairs for 2,300 yen. It is recommended not to miss it. I searched the entire network but couldn't find it.

I have stayed in hot spring hotels with one night and two meals in Kawaguchiko, Shirahama, and Noboribetsu. In comparison, this one is below expectations. It has been hyped up on Xiaohongshu, especially its ”sea view”, but the disadvantages are also obvious. 1. The room is very small. Three people live next to each other, and there is almost no place to put the suitcase. The bathroom is also very small. 2. The decoration of the hotel room is old, the tatami is old, and there are broken places. I have allergic asthma. I started coughing on the first night I arrived. I don’t know what caused it. I took anti-allergic medicine to get better. 3. The unbeatable sea view seats in the hotel restaurant are only available to guests staying in the annex Huayue. This feels discriminated against. In addition, a large number of tour groups check in, and the restaurant is open for breakfast from 7 to 9 o'clock. It is also to cooperate with these groups. The hotel requires check-out before 10 o'clock. 4. The hot spring is very small, has no special features, and the water temperature is slightly low. Compared with other hot spring hotels, there are relatively few toiletries prepared. Advantages: 1. The raw fish and crab legs in the dinner buffet are good, there are more dishes, and the drinks at midnight are not expensive. However, the buffet is the same every night. 2. It is close to the tropical botanical garden, and you can walk to see the monkeys in 5 minutes. It is close to the airport, and the taxi is less than 2,000 yen. 3. The sea view is good, if you are not afraid of the sun.

very big room. Excellent location, near to JR station only 2mins walking distance! Hakodate train is near, only 5 minutes walking distance. Many outstanding restaurants are nearby, like Sushi Soup begirama, Flower see sushi. Highly recommend to choose this hotel although room cleansing services are provided once every three days

I stayed for the first time. Check-in was late around 21:00, but I was able to respond with a smile. However, it was a pity that I missed the alcoholic drink service in the lobby. The room was still large and easy to use. The bed width is 156 cm, so it's big enough for me to sleep next to it. As for breakfast, the main menu was colorful salad. The corn soup was very tasty and delicious at first sip, but the amount was large and the latter half felt a little heavy. The bread was very delicious. It is a recommended hotel for sightseeing, of course, but also for relaxing alone.

About 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone. Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable. Other than these, overall is satisfied.
La Vista Hakodate Bay Annex

The new building of Hakodate La Vista is very newly decorated, even with a little bit of decoration flavor, but it is equipped with an air purifier, so it is not a problem. The location is excellent, and it is about a kilometer walk to Hakodate Mountain, and it is not expensive to take a taxi. It is worth mentioning that the hotel's breakfast is amazing, with a full range of varieties and high quality, and there are sashimi and barbecue that are rare for breakfast. The hotel's hot spring is also commendable, with indoor and outdoor hot springs, and ice water and drinks, which is very comfortable,
