Find the Cheap Hamilton County Hotels

I stayed for almost a week at La Quinta in Hixson for a business trip. Cindy and Mary were excellent the entire time I was here and made sure my stay was satisfactory in every way. The hotel is very clean as well as the queen suite we stayed in. They also had a huge breakfast selection that was well maintained. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to other business acquaintances.

The bathroom smelled of cigerette smoke when we arrived at 1:30 AM. As we had just driven 8.5 hours we dealt with it until morning. The staff has the shower curtain replaced as soon as we told them, as that seemed to be the source of the oder, but the bathroom still smelled. The blinds were broken, the remote to operate them gone from the room. Housekeeping just said they were broken. I had to stand on the air conditioner each morning and roll them up by hand just to let some light in the room. Breakfast was ok, but staff weren’t very happy. Had to ask them when things ran out, like coffee or food, then always told “it’s cooking” and had to wait. Perception is they don’t like their job. Desk staff were always pleasant.

Home Town Inn is a clean, comfortable and affordable inn. For the basics this inn exceeds most 4 star hotels. The room is clean and no carpet to deal with. The rooms have faux wood vinyl flooring. The floors are easy to clean and the floors in my room (203) were very clean. The bathroom shower has great water pressure and hot water (see video). The bed I had was very large and comfortable. The owners are very kind and their office is very organized. That shows the kind of attention they have for this inn. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. A couple of things that need attention; this is a 2 floor building and the elevator does not work, the disinfectant they use has a really strange smell although after just 5 minutes I didn't even notice it, the dining room is closed due to Covid and last is the service at the front desk. Most of the time I was there no one was at the front and no one answered the bell. I had to call the phone number to get anyone. The west end of the hotel is really close to a railroad track. I stayed on the east end and never heard the trains. Overall, for a easy on the wallet place to stay and very restful this is an excellent choice.
