Very friendly staff, excellent location near river, downtown, and arts district.  Rooms have just enough space to fit a couch and the hotel interior has a great eclectic feel.

Hotel and staff are wonderful. Rooms are nice and the bed was comfortable. Great restaurant and bar on site. The gym could use a little more strength equipment but overall it gets the job done. Definitely check out Whiskey Thief for drink or 2, it’s has a fantastic view

Oh my god housekeeper James was the highlight of our stay at the Edwin. One of the friendliest and kindest people you will ever meet. Thank you James for making our stay special and for taking such good photos of us.

I gave 4 stars because the staff was amazing and we changed our room twice. Most staff would have been annoyed but they were very professional. The hotel is a boutique hotel, but had the smallest hotel rooms. Our first room was a connecting room and we could hear everything. It was just too small. Fortunately we upgraded to a suite. The suite was larger but more equivalent to a small junior suite. The room the fine and clean. We enjoyed our time there. We recommend it for a weekend getaway to Chattanooga. People’s room preferences vary and I admit, I’m picky. Again, front staff was professional and accommodating.

We recently stayed at the Edwin to move our daughter into college at nearby UTC. We loved the artsy vibe of this hotel. Our suite had a working record player and a stack of LPs, plus books on Chattanooga history, art, travel and I LOVED those little touches. The rooms are well appointed (especially the suites - they are very nice) and the location was perfect for our visit. Don't miss the rooftop bar "Whiskey Thief" (21+) - amazing views and a fun, clubby vibe up there. They have a spa, fitness center and room service, but we didn't use those PROS: Location - Riverfront Chattanooga - walkable to restaraunts, live music, etc. Friendly, helpful staff (Kayla at the front desk was delightful) Clean, beautiful appointed spaces with fun decor Comfortable beds with plush linens and plenty of pillows Valet service was great and easy Perks for Marriott members like drinks that aren't offered on regular menu Mini fridge in room that was empty (we had leftovers and drinks we wanted to store) CONS: Expensive - this is a luxury boutique hotel and therefore pricey, but worth a splurge Road Noise - This hotel is next to a highway so there is some road noise - I travel with a sound machine so it wasn't a problem for us In room coffee - weak and terrible, as is most in-room coffee in almost every hotel I have visitied (!) I wish more hotels would invest a little to improve this, but the coffee from the cafe in the lobby was decent. Overall, The Edwin is a welcome addition to the Marriott portfolio, and a hotel I would recommend.

Loved it! Beautiful hotel. The staff is wonderful! Valet staff was exceptionally wonderful. Fresh waters in the car when delivered, trash taken out, just exceptional service. Dining was wonderful. Not sure I understand why the restaurant is closed on Mondays, but still a great experience. We will definitely stay again.

Was so looking forward to staying at the hotel. It was a work trip but I left my home which was 6 hours away early so I could spend time in my upgraded room. My excitement ended when I walked into the room and had to kill a cockroach. The room smells of sewage so I checked out and went to another hotel.
