I went here for a few nights and I literally had no issues with the hotel, all the workers were really nice, if I needed my room cleaned then it was done so for me, it was a good experience especially compared to some of the higher known hotels round that area. OYO Flexistay Tulsi Aparthotel these guys preformed very well. Helped me with my luggage. Was good stuff. I would highly recommend them.

The location is indeed a bit far from the city center, there isn't much transportation to the city center, and there aren't many restaurants nearby.
Although there is a parking lot, the license plate recognition system at the entrance and exit gate seems a bit insensitive. I had to move back and forth several times before it could read my license plate and open the gate.
The room is spacious, the bed is large and the mattress is soft, and the overall feeling is clean.

The hotel was a bit far from the main tourist attractions in London, so the transportation costs for the three of us touring London were high.
Hotels in the city center are expensive, but transportation costs are not that high, so it seems like there is a trade-off between the hotel cost and transportation costs.
There was a supermarket near the hotel, so it was easy to buy simple things.
Breakfast was simple, and the staff were friendly. There is a 50 pound deposit, which is returned upon check-out.
You can get a group discount if you purchase train tickets for three or more people.
Stayed in the one-room apartment for about one week. The hotel is located in a residential area with a quiet and neat neighbourhood. Free on-site parking is available. Train station is a long 15-20min walk from the hotel. There was no lift access, but the staff was ready to help during service hours. The interior of the apartment was simple and relatively clean, though some shelves and cupboards were a bit dusty. The bedroom was small and had no wardrobe, only an open hanger-frame for garments. The mattress was a bit saggy and there were only 2 small pillows. There was no air-conditioning, but only a big fan which made a loud whirring noise when on. The heater-panels were too far from the sitting area... I doubt if the heating would be sufficient during winter. The full kitchen was useful, but got only one small pot and one pan for any cooking. Plates and bowls were not enough for 3 adults, and I had to wash them all for a second course during the meal. Steak knives were not sharp enough for steaks! The washer had no dryer, so we had to hang the clothes around the room. Housekeeping was not done everyday... depends on the length of your stay. So much for the unsatisfactory bits. The nice bits were: The location felt safe and quiet. The staff were friendly, Check-in and out was easy and fast. Luckily during our stay, all the electrical appliances functioned well. There's a communal breakfast area, with all-you-can-eat stuff like bread, butter, jam, juices, milk, fruits, cereal, cookies, tea and coffee. These are available the whole day till staff go off at about 9pm. There is a laundry room for those staying in studios, and the machines and detergent are provided free of charge.
Outstanding customer services by all staff members who love their jobs and they ensure all the guests are well looked after. Excellent location with walking distance to 2 subway stations and the airport bus stop. Full breakfast provided, a warm and welcoming dining area. Will definitely stay at this hotel again for my next London visit.

GGuest UserOn arrival there was a new girl on Reception (black girl) and she told me that the room I had reserved was room only and I knew I had booked a b&b rate. Although she was very pleasant she said she was new and needed to check with a more experienced receptionist. A white lady came into the reception area and was telling me that the new girl didn't know how to check was was included in the room rate and started showing her - how to check for this while I was there. This white lady (had a foreign accent) was quite abrupt to me and I thought to myself, maybe if you trained the new girl better, she would be able to check these details. The new girl was apologizing, I said to her its not your fault, you need to get trained better in your role. She was a beautiful young girl and very friendly and tried to help as much as she could. The kettle in my room was not working but was replaced quite quickly. I went to get some milk from the trolley and the Housekeeper (Spanish) screamed at me - your are not allowed to touch the trollies and if you need anything, please contact Reception, I said shall I leave it back then and she said - No its OK!. Had to advice Reception if one, needed their room cleaned. Breakfast was nice except the mushrooms they were too hard and difficult to eat. Staff tend to move trollies and talk to each other when guests are around and they use the guest lift as a service lift. They got in the way at times when I was trying to get out of the hotel, they apologized for getting in my way. Majority of staff were friendly, rooms need updating. On my last day, I was getting some tea at breakfast time in the dining area and when I returned a staff member (Small Indian lady) was clearing away my food and I had only went to get a cup of tea and had not finished my breakfast, I told her I was still having my breakfast. I was annoyed as my room card was still on the table but she never noticed this and was clearing it away. They spray and clean empty tables very close to you as you eat your breakfast which is frustrating as the smell of the cleaning liquid is quite strong, It was my first time staying at this hotel, however in the past I have had coffee/tea there but never stayed before. I would rate is as a 3 star Hotel and not a 4 star Hotel.
SSAM CHEONGA nice hotel at reasonable price near London. It would take 15 minutes to get to the centre of London by train.
The hotel was situated between East Croydon station and West Croydon station, with 10 minutes walk to either station. There is a shopping centre at the opposite of the hotel. Lots of eateries nearby. The atmosphere there was relaxing and safe.
The staff was nice, amenities were adequate. It is recommended in general.
Arrived today at the hotel at 1500 to check in having booked disabled room plus one other almost three months ago. The receptionist apologised to me and said lift wasn’t working, but an engineer was currently at Rotherhithr and would be there in two hours. As my 89 yo mother uses a wheelchair and we had travelled five hours to get there that was a bit irksome, but I arranged for us to do something else until lift was ready. The said they would call when it was working. At 1800 I had heard nothing so called and was told engineer had four hours to attend and would be there soon. 1900 called again, no engineer and Sharon reiterated the four hour slot and there wasn’t anything she could do. I told her that my my mother wanted her room as she was very tired and she made some calls. She reiterated the four hour rule, I reminded her that at had arrived at the hotel at 1430 and it wasn’t working then either. She chose to be one defensive mentioning I didn’t check in until 1500. That is correct but I was with family there earlier and it had already failed before I checked in. I asked her to make alternative arrangements for us for the night and she said she would try. What that actually transpired was she said there was no hotel nearby with rooms and she couldn’t help and I could have a refund. Hardly helpful, and she didn’t seem to realise the gravity of an 89 year old lady needing a lift to get to a pre booked room and that a refund was not the answer, but good customer service was needed. I asked her to contact her management to arrange something. She tried but to no avail. I called advise her that within ten minutes I had found hotels nearby (and trust me at this point I’m stressed and getting irritated that she seemingly had no intention of helping. She couldn’t have tried hard as the local premier inn had availability (I told her first it was a travelodge but she chose to patronize me that there wasn’t one on the Purley way - and anyway the room was a available. Thatnlast statement is correct but without throwing Ann elderly lady over my shoulders it was inaccessible. I went to the hotel alone to retrieve bags dropped earlier and still she argued that the room was available and that the lift engineer was there! The lift still didn’t work and rather than argue with this woman kept repeating she could do NOTHING And that the room was available I chose instead to deal with another member of staff - retrieved bags to go and collect my mother and stay elsewhere. We will return tomorrow for the remainder of the stay and I will raise in person with the general manager. My family is spending around £1000 at this place for a special event this weekend. Some empathy would have been in order, and there is the issue of breach of contract i intend to raise with the general manager on this occasion. I appreciate things do go wrong but it seems there is no plan to deal with an event such as this. I feel the woman was possibly willi
3316angusjI was a little bit dubious about booking this hotel because it was so cheap (£29 per night) and because of some of the bad reviews I had read. I booked the hotel for one night anyway as I just needed a bed for the night and was prepared to have a less than pleasant stay, however my stay was not bad at all. I was able to park my car a couple of streets away for free from 6pm up until 9am (but always check the road signs or ask a member of staff what the parking times are. On arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the fact that you couldn't use the elevator without your electronic room key as I am not complacent about security. My room was on the 7th floor and being so high up I couldn't hear the traffic but I could hear the tv in the room next door but it wasn't loud enough to prevent me from getting to sleep. Even though the room was smaller than I was used to, I was able to walk around the bed. And that was it... no table or chair but there was a fixing on the wall where you could hang your clothes and bag. The heater was excellent and mine was able to get up to 32°C/89°F as it was a cold night outside around -2°C/28°F but my room was warm in just a few minutes. The room was clean and so was the bed linen and had quite a nice graphic stenciled on the wall of the London skyline. I know I'm probably being fussy here but the tv which was excellent by the way was way too big for the room. I suppose some people would love this but it really did strain my eyes. Turning down the brightness helped a little but I ended up turning it off in the end. The bathroom was small but clean with a large liquid soap dispenser on the sink. I was able to get the temperature I wanted on the shower in about 30 seconds. The shower curtain didn't pull all the way round because it was incorrectly fitted and I just left it as it was. The bed was comfortable and my nights sleep was undisturbed. There was a kettle and microwave oven you could use downstairs so I just heated up a subway sandwich I had left over from the night before. In conclusion: Yes it is very basic but if you just need a bed for a night or two (probably not much longer) then in my experience you can't go far wrong here. I have seen some of the nightmare reviews but that was not my experience.
GGuest Userthe hotel was next to the Thornton heath station and pizza restaurant( my favourite ), which is a good location only 15 min to Victoria station by train. The staff are very professional and kind. They treat me as a friend. I tried it I recommend it 👍
