Top rated hotels in Cairo

Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi
4.5/58 Reviews
The hotel just opened in January, the facilities are very new and the staff service is very warm. The Lebanese restaurant on the first floor is delicious. The original reservation of the grave view hotel had a problem. The hotel booked temporarily on the same day was not expensive, the twin beds were large, and Simmons was comfortable. Thank you very much.
The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo

What an amazing and luxurious hotel it is. We enjoyed our one week stay and had one of the best experiences ever in Cairo. It all started with meeting Nabil the doorman with his beautiful smile and then with Yousef at the reception desk who helped us with our check in. Mostafa and Arafa from the house keeping, made our stay amazing with paying attention to details with their beautiful smile and attitude. Also Ibrahim as well made it a pleasant experience. To top it up Hashem the house keeping supervisor also made sure our needs are met and everything is to our liking. Abdullah El Sayed, ohhh ohhh what an amazing guy he is. Every morning made sure we are taken care off from our coffee, juices to making sure I have my specialty Egyptian breakfast made up to my likings. Fresh Iskandarani fool, taameya and to top it up feeteer meshaltet with 3assal. WOWWWW. Abdullah made sure to remember my type of coffee without asking (decaf coffee). Also Amr did an amazing job taking care of us when Abdullah is serving other tables. Sayed Farouk the lounge supervisor also made sure to receive our feedback with a great attitude and smile and we really enjoyed our conversation with him. Ayman, with his amazing smile and shisha, always made sure we are hooked the whole evening and with our couple visits to the restaurant. The pool team were unbelievable from Mohamad to Ayman with all the time amazing smile to Sameh at the aqua restaurant. These guys made our stay at the pool so great with paying attention to everything we need. The spa team were also amazing from Lobna to captain Hassan. The service was more than we asked for. Sameh Mahrous, what an amazing person he is with his beautiful smile and great talk we had. He is always there every afternoon at the lobby taking care of the customers and their needs. To top it up, we also received a follow up phone call from the hotel after 2 days to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. The Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo is an amazing hotel with top notch service. Keep it up team and I hope to see you all again very soon.
El-Otel Hotel
4/527 Reviews
We found El Otel via *********** and booked it on the basis of 1/ Downtown location, 2/ A couple of positive TA reviews 3/ Online photos, in which the rooms looked nicely furnished and 4/ Room rate. Describing it as a hotel may be stretching it a bit, the rooms are located on the 5th floor of a downtown building and although there is a reception area, there are no communal areas such as a lounge or dining room. Having said that, our room was spacious and the bed large and comfortable. The decor is exactly like the photos, definitely quirky. We had a rate including breakfast, which is traditional and is delivered to your room. The location is great if you want to be in Downtown, it is also on a side street so relatively quiet by Cairo standards, although the rear does overlook a pedestrianed street with cafes so there is some late evening hubbub and some early morning clattering of tables and chairs. Both tolerable. Staff are very friendly and helpful (thanks Helmy), promptly replying to msgs in advance and being available via WhatsApp during our stay. An airport transfer was arranged for us, which I would recommend if you are using Sphinx airport which is pretty isolated and also because you may struggle to find El Otel otherwise. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.
Holiday Inn & Suites Cairo Maadi
4.4/515 Reviews
We were warmly welcomed by the Reception Staff who acknowledged my Rewards Status. We had a room on the 12th Floor with fantastic views over the Nile and out to the Pyramids, amazing to sit on the balcony and watch the sun rise and set . The room was quite large with one of the best Air Conditioning units we have had keeping the room cool 24 hours a day. The beds were comfortable with spotlessly clean sheets . There was a large work desk and chair , large sofa , armchair and coffee table . There was a fridge an excellent amenities tray including bottled water which were replenished every day. The bathroom was equally clean again with lots of fluffy white towels. Toiletries were provided and again replenished daily. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water at anytime of the day or night. A large wardrobe , plenty of drawers and a very neat built in cupboard in the sitting area. The TV had English channels when we wanted to sit down after all the sightseeing ! We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant overlooking the Nile. The food was varied plenty of hot and cold choices , all sorts of bread and pastries , fresh fruit etc. Again the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed time in and around the pool every day , plenty of sunbeds etc and delicious poolside cocktails. It was amazing to sit in the pool and watch the sunset over the Nile and Pyramids. An Uber cost a few pounds to get into the centre of Cairo and took about 10/15 minutes. There is a bank and supermarket next to the hotel , the hotel also has an ATM in the Foyer which is free to use. All in all a great stay and will not hesitate to return.
Lotus Hotel Cairo

It's hard to put into words how special my time was Lotus Hotel. As a single and first-time traveler to Cairo, it was the perfect place to stay for a week, and understand what daily life is like. I was able to walk to so many places once I felt confident with the rhythm of the streets (thanks to Samir Fayek). This place has so much character and warmth to share even if it's not a ”luxurious” hotel. (Personally, I'm more interested in the depth and a story -- if you're looking for that, you will find it here. ) Ayman, Emad, Abeer, Ibrahim, and Adel (and others that I know I'm forgetting, sorry!) made me feel so welcome and couldn't have been more gracious. On my next trip to Egypt, no matter where I am, I will go out of my way to return to Lotus to say hello to everyone there. Mr. Wafik Doss (owner of the hotel) is a gem and a true professional in the world of hospitality, and I will continue to stay at his hotels in the future when I'm back in Cairo. Mr. Doss kindly introduced me to Mina and Samir Fayek (tour guide experts) that I highly recommend using if you're staying at Lotus or Windor. (They've been working together for ~40 years.) Wafik and the Fayek Tour Guides work from their hearts; I was lucky enough to experience it and will be forever grateful.
Huazhu Yijia Guesthouse

The room was clean and tidy and comfortable, and the service was thoughtful, especially the Chinese aunt who was cooking. She was very warm and generous, the transportation was convenient, the boss was young and had communication skills, and everything was in place. I would go to Egypt and stay at this hotel in the future.
