If you are looking at Convenient & spacious room. This is it! Not service or luxury. Location is very close to XMD. Room is spacious. Have a self service coin laundry room, however closes at 10pm and only opens at 10am. The hotel should consider to change the operational timing. Super inconvenient as most tourist will be out for tour at those timing. Seem like they just have the service but not usual able. During check-out, front staff was super busy among themselves. Room is spacious, cleanliness is average. When I checked in my room, there was a patch of gluey, sticky liquid in the carpet near the sofa. Floor curtains and carpets are worn off and dirty especially at the corridor. Overall, stay was good as the location is good, near to train station. Another point, just to take note, if you are travelling by train to the hotel, exit via EXIT4, there’s lift and escalator which is easier if you have stroller or luggage. Is the same distance to the hotel via exit 5 which only have stairs to climb up.

The hotel’s located in a really nice area where there is the main bus line in front of it and about 10 mins walk to Taipei Main Station. It is also really close to Ximending Walking Street and night market, only 4-5 minutes walk. The staff is nice and welcoming. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast so in the common area in front of the front desk, there are only few instant noodle packages and some beverage for guests to purchase. They also helped me a lot when I asked if they have a microwave so I can warm up my food. They helped me right away and gave me the nicely warm food in about 10 minutes. So nice of them. The room is quite small imo and not really well furnished as I expected. There’s no closet in the room so they only have a rack hanging above the table which I find pretty weird but amusing to look at. The only thing I have a slight complaint about is the wifi signal. It’s pretty bad in my room (my room is the first room, in the corner). Also, my 5G doesn’t work well in my room even though it worked perfectly outside of the hotel. If you plan to stay a few nights in the center area and just need a room to sleep, I think this hotel is a good choice.

Clean and big room. Daily cleaning and service recovery can be improved. Our toilet was clogged up and couldn't be used to shower because daily cleaning did not remove the hair. However hotel couldn't resolve the problem immediately at night as they didn't have engineering dept at work. There was also no service recovery for this incident.

MMJ_StijlDidn’t plan to stay at this hotel but it turned out to be very comfortable at an easy location. The staff were friendly and kind. The sunken bath was interesting and the hotel character was actually the rice biscuit company’s. I had a pleasant stay during the typhoon weather. Breakdown was also satisfying.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located close to the city center and you can comfortably take subway or just taxi everywhere for a low price. There’s a ton of restaurants nearby in walking distance that offer good food with good prices.
In terms of the room, it’s mostly clean and new. The TV offers Netflix which is a big plus. Bathtub is next to the shower and is clean and comfortable. The only complaint is that I needed to request for handsoap as it was not provided with the room. This is probably a management cost-cutting measure.
The staff were the highlight of my stay. They are very helpful and are willing to go above and beyond. A simple question of where to eat led to a delightful conversation and discussion of possible places to dine. On the day I left, there was a heavy rainstorm. As I was very drenched, they provided paper towels and plastic bags for me to pack the wet clothes without me asking for them. For a 4-star business hotel, they served me better than most 5 stars I’ve stayed at before.
CchauWe stayed for 5 nights, a quiet hotel as what other comments mentioned, a nice hotel without many people, as it only got around 40 guest rooms. It has no nearby shops, other than an Italian restaurant (boulevard Café – quite a good restaurant) and a convenient store. We travelled all by taxi, around US12 each trip to and from city centre. To airport, dependent on which route the driver chose, we paid US48 to hotel, and US35. It was not too difficult to wait for taxi, the most was around 10 min. Wifi is fast but stopped for 10-15 min in 2-3 nights during our stay.
Our room is not as big as 33 sq m as stated in the website, I think this is around 23 sq m, with 2 beds, a bath room and wardrobe, and a table, a table for the fridge and a cabinet. So there is no sofa in the room, one of us had to sit on the bed. The bath room is spacious with a bath tub. The design is a bit interesting, water easily splashed out making the whole floor wet even they got curtain.
Breakfast was delicious and one has to order from the set menu, with quite a no of choices, Chinese and western style. The environment of the restaurant is good, the window is from floor to ceiling on one side of the restaurant, overlooking the road with green mountains in the far end, trees and moving cars outside of the restaurant. Staff was sufficient to take care of my request.
There are also free self-serviced laundry, daily supply of fruits and 2 can of cold drinks / 2 bottled water. One can do hiking to nearby parks, but we failed to walk there, and ended up stopped in a restaurant that served chi food but with ponds that allow you to fish the Thai shrimps and baked / consume on the spot.
This is a nice hotel and it gives you a different feeling that commercial hotel cannot provide to you.

GGabriel Apollo Long-LongSome of the reviews had not been the most flattering for this hotel so I had low expectations going in. However, the stay exceeded expectations. The room was nice, the service very good (allowing early and late check in), and there were nice added benefits like free drinks in the minibar and at happy hour.
For improvement, I think the hotel should have a gym or at least offer guests a free pass at a local gym - this would give the hotel more amenities, allowing it to compete better with other 5* hotels. In general nevertheless, the hotel was a great stay at an extremely fair price.

TTanStanleyThe room was really typical for a Japanese hotel. Tiny but cosy, minimal space but got everything you need. Toilet has bidet system so that’s neat. GGuest UserI stayed here for 4 nights, very impressed with this hotel, close to the MRT, only 200 meters, quiet, good size bed, very soft. The bathroom is spacious and separates dry and wet areas. The shower's water is very powerful. The receptionist is very good. The breakfast here is also very good. Close to the night market and Family Mart across the street. I definitely come back again.

GGuest UserThe location is one of its strongest points. It’s conveniently near a bus stop and an MRT station, making it easy to get around the city. Moreover there are many cafe nearby, next to the mini public garden.
However, the cleanliness was just average. The room was clean but could use more attention to detail. On the plus side, the hotel is well-equipped with amenities, which was a pleasant surprise.
One downside I noticed was that the room had a faint smell of smoke, which was disappointing. If you’re sensitive to smells, this might be a concern.
Overall, it’s a good option for those who prioritize location and don’t expect much.

MMaps52285364762We stayed here for 4 nights. Before commenting on the hotel, we wanted to share some of our own experiences with those who travelled to this hotel on their own. We arrived at the airport at about 5pm and went to the Flying Dog Bus counter as suggested by the Forum members. Based on the information we found, the bus was supposed to take us to the hotel or close enough to the hotel. But instead, we were told they would not take us to the hotel door until after six o'clock. Before 6 o'clock, they will only put guests on the designated bus route and then take a taxi to the location they are going to. In short, if you arrive at the airport before 5:30, then it is recommended to take the Guoguang bus. After the next time at the terminal (Taipei Central Station), take the MRT to Ximending. Pros: -The location is good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest MRT Ximending Station. -All rooms have free Internet access. Try using the wireless connection. If you don't have a network cable yourself, you can borrow one from the front desk. - Basic supplies: hairdryer, kettle, free bottled water and tea - very clean Cons - hotel entrance hidden in a narrow alley and easy to miss. Just look for the World Express pastry shop on the main road. There are huge neon lights on the top side of the hotel, which is useful when looking for it from a distance. - Shower and bathtub are integrated. As a business hotel, we expect them to install a shower curtain, but maybe they think it will cost too much. So you can imagine the mess after each shower. -No useful maps available. Those maps that could be used only marked the subway line, and there was no address information or anything like that. - the lighting in the room was poor. It was too dark for ladies who wanted to make up. -Close to a government building, so if you want to walk around naked in the room, it is recommended to close the curtains. -The front desk clerk doesn't seem to know much about the attractions. -Breakfast coupons are issued at the front desk every morning, dining at the fast food restaurant on the main road, just at the exit of the narrow alley. There are about four or five packages to choose from, but the two must be the same (for both of us)! That is so stupid! The food is not good either.
