My family came to this highly recommended hotel for a Saturday night stay. The recommendations were spot on! The hotel was so good; a sumptuous dinner, a fabulous nights sleep followed by a huge breakfast. All on a weekend. What more could we ask for? This was a wonderful nights stay for me and my demanding family! We will be back.

A really lovely dinner, stay, breakfast and afternoon tea. The food, room and atmosphere were all lovely, but it is the attentiveness and courtesy of the staff that make Chilston Park Hotel particularly special. We will certainly be back.

We booked afternoon tea for my son’s 21st birthday. We were promptly shown to our table which was good but the table wasn’t set. We were then left for 25 mins without anyone coming to serve us or provide us with menus. I had to find a staff member via reception who seemed surprised we were there. She then went off to get us menus and I had to find her again after a further 10 minutes. After that it went well but had unfortunately spoiled the celebration and left us feeling disappointed and awkward. For the price we paid I had expected better. I was so disappointed because I booked it as a special treat but it fell short. I left a review as requested by the hotel which came through via email but no one contacted me. We won’t be back and I felt that the poor service is unfortunately what he will remember of his 21st birthday.

We came here to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. From start to finish we were made to feel really special. From our telephone booking to the warm welcome when we entered the reception area. We had our tea in the dining room and were given a lovely table overlooking the beautiful grounds. Our lovely waitress was charming and wished us a happy anniversary. There was also a card with a hand written message left on our table. The food was amazing with finger sandwiches, a sausage roll and a selection of scones and little cakes. We have been to several top end restaurants for afternoon tea including Claridges, The Dorchester, The Savoy and The Ritz, but today’s food and tea was up there with the best. At the end if our tea a plate was bought out with chocolates with an anniversary message written in chocolate. Our waitress came and said “goodbye” as it was the end of our shift. The chef came over to us and talked about his passion for food. What a perfect day in such beautiful surroundings. We shall be back.

We booked afternoon tea at Chilston Park as a belated 90th birthday treat for my mother in law and family. It isn't cheap, but the location, service and quality of the food more than make up for it. The choice of teas was very good (although for the price they could have offered to top up the pots). The sandwiches were tasty and everyone commented on the delicious scones with jam and cream. The choice of cakes was also good, some even decorated with gold leaf! If you want a treat for a special occasion I would happily recommend afternoon tea at Chilston Park.

My husband and I have just spent a few hours enjoying afternoon tea at Chilston Park Hotel.The food was lovely,well presented ,the staff very attentive,the whole experience spot on.Special thanks to Ali the head chef who sought us out to ask if everything was ok,a thoughtful gesture,he spent time listening to our comments,and informed us of his no nut kitchen,something allergy sufferers would be interested to know.We are returning in November for a taste of the Christmas menu,something we are looking forward to,with Ali’s skills it’s bound to be something special.Thank you again Ali,you are a credit to the hotel.

Stayed her in the Victoria room on Friday 13th..( Mrs KT'S birthday ) it was just lovely The room was huge and very cosy, the dressing room had a lovely wooden Victorian dolls house and all the furnishings were Victorian. It really was the biggest hotel suite we've stated in. We had dinner in the restaurant, it was faultless and the service exemplary.. Mrs KT is a vegetarian and really praised the Mushroom Wellington. I had the Halibut,it was delicious.. The breakfast was outstanding. Once again the service was great. The grounds are lovely and very well looked after. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in, we will certainly be back. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay. If you want a luxury break at a very reasonable cost stay here, you really Will love it
