We came here to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. From start to finish we were made to feel really special. From our telephone booking to the warm welcome when we entered the reception area. We had our tea in the dining room and were given a lovely table overlooking the beautiful grounds. Our lovely waitress was charming and wished us a happy anniversary. There was also a card with a hand written message left on our table. The food was amazing with finger sandwiches, a sausage roll and a selection of scones and little cakes. We have been to several top end restaurants for afternoon tea including Claridges, The Dorchester, The Savoy and The Ritz, but today’s food and tea was up there with the best. At the end if our tea a plate was bought out with chocolates with an anniversary message written in chocolate. Our waitress came and said “goodbye” as it was the end of our shift. The chef came over to us and talked about his passion for food. What a perfect day in such beautiful surroundings. We shall be back.

We booked afternoon tea at Chilston Park as a belated 90th birthday treat for my mother in law and family. It isn't cheap, but the location, service and quality of the food more than make up for it. The choice of teas was very good (although for the price they could have offered to top up the pots). The sandwiches were tasty and everyone commented on the delicious scones with jam and cream. The choice of cakes was also good, some even decorated with gold leaf! If you want a treat for a special occasion I would happily recommend afternoon tea at Chilston Park.

My husband and I have just spent a few hours enjoying afternoon tea at Chilston Park Hotel. The food was lovely, well presented ,the staff very attentive, the whole experience spot on.Special thanks to Ali the head chef who sought us out to ask if everything was ok,a thoughtful gesture,he spent time listening to our comments, and informed us of his no nut kitchen, something allergy sufferers would be interested to know.We are returning in November for a taste of the Christmas menu, something we are looking forward to,with Ali’s skills it’s bound to be something special.Thank you again Ali,you are a credit to the hotel.

Stayed her in the Victoria room on Friday 13th..( Mrs KT'S birthday ) it was just lovely The room was huge and very cosy, the dressing room had a lovely wooden Victorian dolls house and all the furnishings were Victorian. It really was the biggest hotel suite we've stated in. We had dinner in the restaurant, it was faultless and the service exemplary.. Mrs KT is a vegetarian and really praised the Mushroom Wellington. I had the Halibut,it was delicious.. The breakfast was outstanding. Once again the service was great. The grounds are lovely and very well looked after. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in, we will certainly be back. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay. If you want a luxury break at a very reasonable cost stay here, you really Will love it

We chose this hotel for dinner and an overnight stay on our anniversary. A good choice! Very remote, lovely surroundings, super room, very attentive staff. Restaurant was nice, menu good and a super wine list. This is a major venue for weddings and conferences. Nevertheless, the personal touch was maintained throughout our visit.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the Reynolds's room with our 2 dogs. The room is fantastic and very spacious with a separate lounge area to watch TV. Big comfy beds with great pillows. The hotel itself is wonderful and set in beautiful grounds which are great for walking Holly & Alfie. Ate in the lounge area by the bar both evenings as we had the dogs with us but had breakfast both mornings in the restaurant. The food on all occasions was lovely. The staff were fantastic and are what makes this hotel so special. Just like our first visit we loved it. Special mention to Ella who went over and above what's expected. Thank you and see you at Christmas. Sean & Charlie Barber

Got married at Chilston 3 years ago today. We come each year for dinner to celebrate now. Dinner tonight was superb in everyway. Very attentive staff and great atmosphere. We have a cream tea voucher bought as a Christmas present so will let you know what that was like Last year we got a fabulous black board with Happy Anniversary written on it and sweets. This year we got a nice Chilston card. X

An overnight break for one in this beautiful hotel. I swapped dinner for afternoon tea which sadly, wasn't good at all. The staff, room and breakfast however, were all outstanding. Morgan and Dan were particularly friendly and helpful. I left my phone charger in the room (named Tulip) when I checked out. One of the very kind reception staff posted it back to me. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Only dropped one star because afternoon tea is not difficult to get right
