Hotels Near Wangfujing Ancient Ruins Museum Culture in Beijing

Everything in regards to our stay at the Grand Hyatt was 6* except for the WiFi which wasn't of international standards. Location was spot on a central network linked to the mall with major big brands Which is linked to the 1st class train system. It's also 30mins walk to the Forbidden city. And the gym 🏋️♀️ and Pool and Spa was simply immaculate and luxurious first class with a heated pool oasis. Wished I could have spent more time enjoying the facilities. And what complimented well to the global luxurious brand was it's staff members! I have to call out the exceptional 2 departments Conceige and Housekeeping which was truly above and beyond!!! Daniel -assisted with restaurant bookings and forbidden City tickets reservations. And when he was off duty he still wechat me to suggest how to maximise the use of our tickets and best way to maximise time to visit Tianamen Square too and tips too on best way all this while he was off duty! Such dedication!!! Another staff whom I like to recognise is Cecila also from Conceige. When asked for directions on day 1, she didn't just verbalise, she left her station and ushered us all the way outside and showed us the right way around to our breakfast destination. On day 2, which is also check out day, she realised its J birthday and made arrangments for not 1 but 2 bakes so that our dearest friends could enjoy together too. She also kept in touch on wechat to organise all our logistical arrangments several times. Each time with a 😃 smile. Outstanding! Housekeeping lady for rooms 1221 and 1220 was simple though and detailed and went above and beyond too. So much personal touch to all that she did which most would never bother! Good job!! And best of all, she didn't expect anything in return. Absolutely admirable! Unsung hero! Check in staff Allan was pleasant and swift with our late check in and made our final day breakfast logistics seamless. Thank you and thanks for responding efficiently on wechat too. Con- WiFi sucks badly.....surprised that a 5* global brand couldn't keep u to. Chengdu 4* service Residence. So frustrating for global travellers like ourselves. Hope the next time we stay here sky guo would have fixed this feedback! Alongside with ensuring that luke warm pre made coffee will not be served. Absolutely charming sales director

Room is clean and very conveniently located whereby the main shopping street is just downstairs. However, when it came to the hardware, bed is very hard as though there is no mattress placed and sound-proofing is very bad as you can hear others talking from the beside rooms and kids running about when families return to their rooms, sometimes late at night. Shower water-pressure is awfully low that you can’t use the rain-shower despite having one. Lobby/common area also has a very bad washroom-like smell which turns you off the minute you enter.

Nice small hotel very close to shopping street and metro station. Clean. Friendly atmosphere. Okay breakfast for me as an European citizen. Very comfortable bed. Only one negative thing - but not so important - is that the hotel have only one elevator. I do recommend this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Hotel location was perfect for us: conveniently located right outside Line 8 subway, which was an easy trip to and from the airport, as well as connecting to most of the major sights along Line 2 (hutongs, temples, etc.) Wangfujing and APM mall were right across the street, with plenty of restaurant and shopping options. Staff were also very helpful and accommodating; check-in/ check-out process was a breeze. Room condition and amenities were excellent: firm and plush pillows, strong water pressure, and good sound insulation. Hotel breakfast leaned more Chinese, but it was well balanced with lots of vegetables, proteins and fruits.

When I first walked through the doors of this beautiful hotel…I was shocked. It was like walking through heaven! The staff were so helpful in taking my suitcases, bringing them to my room, and helping me check-in smoothly. I was a little hesitant about not being able to have my room ready since I was checking in at 10am but they were so nice in making sure I had a room and they made this happen through upgrading my friend and I to a larger room! Not only did this make the stay even more enjoyable but the breakfast and pool were also amazing! My pool is huge and clean, but you must wear a swimming cap which they can give you at the front desk before you enter the pool! The pool closes at 11pm which is amazing if you’re a late night swimmer! Breakfast, on the second floor, definitely did not disappoint me as they had a great variety of western and Chinese breakfast. From hash browns, to bacon, to pastries, to fruits! You can definitely get full with this breakfast! I will definitely be coming again in the near future!

The hotel is located at a very convenient location. About 10-12 mins walk away from Wangfujing street - the vibrant main shopping street in downtown Beijing, and only 5 mins walk away from the Dengshikou subway station (Line 5). The hotel staff is very considerate and cooperative. I was given a free upgrade when the safe in the room originally allocated to me was malfunctioning. The breakfast is outsourced to a separate restaurant on the 2nd floor of the building and is minimalistic. The restaurant staff is open about it and let me try the breakfast for free on one day to see if I liked it. I recommend future travelers to this hotel to only book the hotel room (without breakfast) and buy the breakfast separately, if you like it. Overall, I can totally recommend this hotel for your stay near Wangfujing street in Beijing.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed with Park Plaza Wangfujing. The first time was with my wife for a week (March 2024), and we upgraded to a suite and had a wonderful room and stay. I was in China again on my own, and had a few spare days and chose to stay again at Park Plaza Wangfujing, because of location, comfort, and the assistance from Kevin Li, who seemed to work 24/7. He significantly assisted us on the first visit, and when I arrived for the current June 2024 visit, he was again at reception offering to assist again. Kevin helped find places to visit, helped logistics, and guided us throughout our March stay, and was equally helpful during my short stay this time. Note that because of the proximity to the Wangfujing shopping district, along with a bunch of other tourist destinations, and because of the connection to a line 5 metro station, everywhere was easy to reach from this hotel. This visit I had a view of the courtyard between the buildings, one of which was Park Plaza. Last visit, we had a view of the adjacent Hu Tong area just north of the hotel and the suburbs to the north, as far away as the Olympic village, and beyond.

The house is very clean and close to Tiananmen Square. The cleaning lady's service attitude is also very good. The front desk lady is kind and beautiful. She can also store luggage for free. It is perfect for me who is traveling alone. There are many delicious foods around, which is suitable for traveling and living.

The service is super satisfying. Every staff member is very enthusiastic and great. It’s a great stay experience~ The breakfast is also very good, all freshly made, and the millet porridge with shredded radish is delicious! ! ! Noodles are also very good The washing and care products are from Eau de Parma and the paper towels are from Debao. The quality is very good~ The only thing that may have a slight flaw is that the room is relatively old and the details need to be maintained.

The receptionists were very helpful, nice and polite. They proactively offered help to customers. We arrived late on our first day there and ordered take-out. After finishing, we called the staff to take away all the leftovers as the smell was quite strong. The staff took immediate action. We could feel that the staff there strives to provide a good stay experience to their customers. The breakfast there was delicious. The room provided a comfortable a**osphere. My family had a great experience staying this hotel. We won’t hesitate to choose this hotel when we visit Beijing next time.
