Venice Hotels with Bars

The hotel is incredibly close to St. Mark's Square; just turn right out the door and cross a bridge, and you're there. Early morning Venice is truly the highlight – the square is nearly empty, and the canals and bridges create a serene atmosphere. This peaceful moment, free from the daytime tourist crowds, is the most beautiful. Despite the common notion that hotels near St. Mark's Square can be noisy, we experienced no such issues here; the soundproofing was excellent. We chose a triple room, which was set up as a two-room suite with a living area. The sofa bed, when extended, could actually sleep two people. The air conditioning in the room was powerful, and so was the refrigerator, which is often harder to find. Breakfast wasn't elaborate, but it had everything one could need. Finally, it's a legitimate hotel with a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage, a level of service you won't find in an apartment rental.

I stayed in the 9-bed female dormitory. The room features a keycard-operated auto-lock door. There is 1 toilet and 2 showers inside the room. Under the bunk beds, there are storage drawers with plenty of room for a small suitcase, which can be locked if you bring your own padlock. There is a convenient power outlet and light at the bedside, though there are no curtains. It's a quite large hostel. While having a shared kitchen was convenient, it lacked capacity and got very crowded during dinner time. Another kitchen would have made it much better. In the reception area near the entrance, there is a luggage cage available for free use. This also requires a padlock to secure. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk from Venezia Mestre Station, making it a super convenient location even if you are pushing a heavy suitcase. There is an Ali supermarket nearby, which is handy for buying water, vegetables, and ready-to-eat meals.

I would have given them a higher score but we had a few issues. First the restaurant and bar were closed on one of the 2 nights we stayed. For a premium cost hotel I would expect to be able to get a drink in the bar. Breakfast was really poor. It was included in our rate but consisted of stale croissant and pan au chocolat. Poor selection of cured meat and cheese and one bowl of fruit salad. No toast. I asked for an egg and my daughter a crepe. We were charged an extra £25! Hotel was otherwise in a good location and rooms were lovely. New member of staff had started that day and he was brilliant.

The room's location was decent, but since it's not on the main island, we had to pay €15 per person daily for the hotel shuttle boat. Also, the hotel provides NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! A small bottle of water costs €6, and there's nowhere nearby to buy any. If you don't want to fall into this trap, choose this hotel carefully! On our first night, I messaged the hotel asking how to get there by boat but received no reply. We ended up taking a public ferry and then lugging our luggage across a bridge. For guests who aren't strong, it's best to confirm arrival methods in advance! The most outrageous part was being overcharged €48 upon checkout. They charged me for another room's bill (my room number ended in 0, theirs in 6). The signatures were completely different, but they didn't even check. It took ages, and they had an attitude like they were doing me a favor by finally letting me leave. Absolutely ridiculous!

A good place to stay in Venice cheaply. The location is pretty well connected and i strongly recommend taking an independent bus, rather than their shuttle bus service - they drop you off by a busy road and the walk to Venice is not much shorter than the 20min one that you take from the Hotel to a bus stop (and it’s cheaper). I found it very disappointing that my message I sent 2-3 days before my stay with questions, was never read or answered. The room has all needed amenities, and is overall comfortable, however the only table is outdoors. The on-site shop is convenient, with prices not too racked up, so very reliable. However the Hotel restaurant is disappointing. We ordered a pizza and a kids menu burger and fries - the pizza was very average, but the burger was actually just the meat patty and fries?? While it was clearly called a burger on the menu. Additionally, it was neither cheap, or fast service. I’d say this is a good place to stay for a short trip to Venice, especially on the budget, but would not recommend using their extra amenities such as the restaurant or bus.

Lovely hotel , very handy for airport. Nice touch to provide water and croissants to guests on welcome. Nice outdoor space with loungers by the pool, pool too icy to swim in though.. nice high ceilings in superior rooms and comfortable beds. We were impressed with the breakfast, lots of choice for continental, eggs too, a lot of effort gone to. As upper floor to room was quite hot either air con or a fan up there as standard would have made it perfect.

This hotel has a fantastic location! The water bus station and gondola boarding point are right outside, and St. Mark's Square and St. Mark's Basilica are just steps away. The Doge's Palace is also nearby—all the attractions are very close. There are also many restaurants downstairs, where you can enjoy a meal while soaking up the sun and watching the gondolas pass by. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the service was very friendly. The breakfast was very plentiful and I was very satisfied. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time; it offers the best value for money.

We arrived at the most expensive hotel (AU$1600 for 3nts, 2 adults) we had ever stayed at, there was no lift to our room on the 1st floor. I struggled to carry 2 suitcases with no assistance from the gentleman in reception up to the 1st-floor room. This would be very difficult if we were older & unable to carry our cases. The wi-fi didn't work in the bedrooms only in the public areas - even though we were told it would. The bedroom had multiple squashed mosquitos on the walls next to the bed. The lace curtain had a couple of cigarette burns on it. The bedcover had a cigarette burn on it. The telephone handset cable was not connected to the .telephone - I tried to fix it but it wouldn't stay in the socket. The safe was not working. The instructions to use the safe were so old & worn out you couldn't read them. The shower wouldn't work properly, so I had to call the person in reception to assist us in getting it working. You had to get out of the shower cubicle to retrieve shower gel/shampoo/soap. There was nowhere in the shower to put these items. There was no room in the shower at all. I moved the stool in the bathroom to put my shower gel on it & two legs fell off the stool. The toilet roll holder wouldn't hold the toilet roll and it kept falling off. The bathroom bin was broken and filthy The breakfast ran until 10 am, the bread ran out & was not replaced & this was before 9 am. I am a travel agent & book many guests to stay in cities around the world including Venice I was upset that this hotel was an extremely poor standard and felt like it ruined the end of my beautiful holiday in Italy. A relatively cheaper option in Venice. Rooms were very antique and the condition wasn't the best but still functional. Could be a bit noisy as there is a boat station directly in front of it. Good breakfast and service though. Walking will be quite far from the central area amd train station but there water bus will be a good option from this hotel.

Very good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
